Question. Running a forge server. My internet isnāt particular bad. For reference I get about 30upload 500 down.
I house 32GB of ram with a 3800XT cpu.
Iāve been trying to run my server better as when thereās more than 4 players at a time it becomes super laggy and obnoxious, chunks render in very slow.
I currently have my run.bat set to around 16GB due to those issues trying to solve them. It didnāt help much. Iām not sure if if thereās something else I can do to increase server wide performance.
Note: only about 110 mods are installed.

So I just had two quick questions, is it normal to attempt to upload a modpack update of 756mb, and take about 10-20 minutes to upload to curseforge (it's not my side I believe, I generally have about 500 up and down according to speedtest.net), and is it normal for it to after uploading it, when I hit the go button, it would seem like it's loading, and then display the cloudflare bad gateway page? (ex: https://images.ctfassets.net/slt3lc6tev37/CTIa7Nqay9uZoBZnh7ao7/e61d8968ea919d75b26e0098437f7174/image1.png ), it still sends the update with no issues, it just seems.. off. Is it my side, and I'm not realizing it, or is it CF's side?

If the mods exist on CurseForge, they should just end up as references inside of manifest.json, so it sounds like a lot of them ends up in overrides/mods, or that there's something else really big in the export from the CurseForge app.

My server crashes when I start it and looks like sodium crashes the server, however we don't have sodium installed. I also saw on a CurseForge thread with the exact same error and the solution was to remove Sodium. Here's the crash if anyone could help.

For a mod to show up in the app:
- Projects MUST have a file marked as RELEASE
or BETA 
- Projects MUST be APPROVED
- Projects MUST have a file marked for the GAME VERSION SELECTED/LOADED
- Projects CAN'T be EXPERIMENTAL
- Projects CAN'T be ABANDONED
Files can take a while to show up in the app. If your files still have not shown up either your project is new and you have yet to mark a file as Release/Beta or there is issues with the sync system making it slow.

Yes you can - they are the same files except any run script files modpack authors may include. For Mac they are the files that end in .sh

Server packs can be downloaded from the website but what is inside is up to modpack authors. You run them manually from your computer and do not use the CF app.

Hello I am not sure if this is a Curse Forge Issue but I have a custom modpack profile that I have exported and has all the mods ready for use. I am hosting a modded server however I had a friend import the modpack into their launcher and it said the mod list was not compatible with the server list however I opened the SAME modpack and it worked just fine for me. So I dont know if this was a human error or machine error. Could be human error but just wanted to make sure.

After submiting I get a notification saying "File is not a valid resource or texture pack". This API, which returns data, did not update for around 28 hours. (Atleast in my code) Now I just want to make sure, that its not my fault. It could be that curseforge only updates every 2-3-4 days.

do the above, then install a new profile or modpack inside the CF app using the app, then launch using the app, then play. do not manually install mods using file browser etc

- Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See

You send what is needed for the pack to work. What that means is different depending on what you want to happen. The absolute bare minimum is the mods folder. You also include configs if you change any configs. Beyond that it's entirely up to you what should be included.
