I highly recommend doing the second part of that bot. As onedrive is known to break minecraft gaming

Hi can someone please help with an error I keep getting when trying to launch Dragonfire mod and in fact any mod that I try to open
I bought a PC for my boy for his birthday last week. He used to play minecraft on his switch but was desperate for a PC so he could play Java and get the mods. He's been using the dragonfire mod for a few days and all of a sudden it no longer works, he gets the following error: Couldn't load launcher code c:\users\logan\curseforge\minecraft\install\game\launcher.dll:loadErrorNotPresent
We've uninstalled and reinstalled both minecraft and curseforge and still get the error. We clearly have no idea what we're doing and hoping someone on here knows how we can solve this. Any help would be greatly appreciated 🤞

Trying to install a modpack for minecraft the doesn't want to install. It get's to patch 2 of 4, then gives up and deletes files. This doesn't happen with any other modpack (they're install perfectly fine), and the creator of the pack has checked the mods, and they are up to date. Any reason for this problem, and how can it be solved?

uh, i checked a version of a mod in one of my modpacks. the modpack had 22 mods in it, very light. as soon as i checked the version was right (the mod was target dummy), i went back to close out of curseforge to see that my mods had filled up with 201 mods. mods that i never had or even played before. the mods seemed to be from a space-tech themed modpack, seeing as it had galacticraft and RF. i tried to start manually deleting every mod, but it wouldn't let me. how do i fix this?

For a mod to show up in the app:
- Projects MUST have a file marked as RELEASE
or BETA 
- Projects MUST be APPROVED
- Projects MUST have a file marked for the GAME VERSION SELECTED/LOADED
- Projects CAN'T be EXPERIMENTAL
- Projects CAN'T be ABANDONED
Files can take a while to show up in the app. If your files still have not shown up either your project is new and you have yet to mark a file as Release/Beta or there is issues with the sync system making it slow.

Usually not a good idea to add mods to packs you didnt make, as this can/will cause issues. So if something breaks you will have to figure outhow to fix it

Otherwise, Could be: Antivirus being a brat, network issues, an issue with the cf app itself, something else on their pc blocking it, crap internet, the list goes on. Logs are better in this case

hello guys I'm having a bit of a problem installing better minecraft 1.16.5. It starts the download but when it finishes it says downloading parches 2 of 4 and then it says canceling intallation deleting files. Does somebody know's how to fix this?

so i may not have played minecraft for a bit and today when i started up curseforge it asked me to choose a directory for mods to download to. when i did this it hangs up on "getting minecraft ready for modding" and if i touch anything else on the app it goes back to step one. i have everything updated (even the native MC launcher) and had a bunch of modpaks installed and they are now gone from my pc.

But @hollow lotus if you dont mind testing that I would really appreciate it. I've tried three times to replicate this in a virtual machine and have had no luck doing so

Id be surprised if their issue was the exact same as yours. Yours is your amd video drivers need to be updated. Not sure if you have a physical gpu or an integrated one tho.

So it was the Curseforge install that was broken, not the actual minecraft executable. This actually makes sense to me now, it was only crashing when the MC Launcher was launching via curseforge

So back to square one on this issue, my friend repaired the curseforge install, was able to launch a mod once, and every subsequent launch after closing any mod produces exit code 1 again, no logs beyond the launcher_log.txt are generated. Only difference between her machine and mine is she has an AMD card and mine is NVIDIA. However she has done a fresh reinstall of the AMD Radeon drivers and it has made no difference. This crash is only occuring via Curseforge. Technic launcher and vanilla work fine.

You can update the mod loader within the same game version in the CurseForge app by following these steps!
- Click on the modpack profile you are working with.
- Click on the button next to the play button.
- Click on the Profile Options button.
- Select the mod loader version you want from the dropdown.
- Play!
If you need to update to a new game version, a new profile is required.

I can't seem to install All the Mods 7 for some reason. I pick the version and click install, the install goes through, applies patches, then says "cancelling installation" and deletes all files. Not sure what the issue is as I tried a fresh install of curseforge and tested the modpack Crucial 2 which was downloaded/installed just fine. Would appreciate some help thanks
