If you are receiving captcha confirmations on CurseForge then the host company Cloudflare has flagged your IP. This seems to happen at random for no known reason, though people uploading files are more likely to trigger it. There is nothing OverWolf/CurseForge can do to resolve this, you must simply wait until it stops happening.

hello - I am getting errors when trying to use CurseForge. I have been using it for a long time but now all of a sudden i get an "oops that was not supposed to happen!" message whenever I try to load it. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall, restart my pc multiple times and used the trouble shooting on the wedsite. Also before i started to get this error the app randomly stopped detecting my WoW addons (that's why i reinstalled in the first place)

That would be why it was rejected then. Deleting projects does not delete the files uploaded.
Either reopen the deleted one with a ticket request, or change the file so it isn't rejected as a duplicate.

Hello, I am trying to publish a modpack for minecraft and I've been given the directions "Please pick a name for your project that does not contain "modpack," "pixelmon," vanilla," "mc," or "mod. "

My question is, why? Many packs exist that use mod or modpack in the naming....even pixelmon while being a pack on its own likely has different forks with additional features added....which is neither here nor there as I don't have it as one of the mods within my pack.

i would suggest a small new feature : Add an option to allow mods from 1.19 to be lsited in 1.19.2 /1.19.1 profiles cause many mods are made for 1.19 which clearly are described as 1.19.X but the developer didn't update the description, this means always manually installing them

also the same with beta and alpha mode would be great if they would be listed but like red or blue marked as alpha

Well, you could just use the app instead to avoid this issue entirely.
Otherwise my assumption would be that you have something blocking the connection between site and app.

Hi. My curseforge, shows "An error occurred while executing Forge install command. Exit code: 1" when I try to create a profile or when I download a modpack. I have tryed:

• reinstall both curseforge and overwolf
• reinstall java 8 and 17
• executing curseforge as an administrator
• repair minecraft installation.
  I have readed the log file and the error seems to be of forge installer.
  here is the log file (error starts in line 596)

If they made the pack in the cf app they can export it and send you a zip to import.

There are two ways to share a modpack you've made with others...

Export and Share - For Friends to Small Groups.

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.
2. Click the button next to play.
3. Click Export.
4. Select the files that should be included.
5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack!

Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone.

This options will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to here: https://www.curseforge.com/project/432/4471/create
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations)

**Network Issues**

1. Try restarting the app
2. Try restarting your computer
3. Disable any programs that interfere with your connection. VPN, ping tunnels, antivirus, firewall.
4. Try restarting your router and modem. Also try using a different connection if possible.
5. Try reinstalling Curseforge.

If you still have issues open a ticket (!ticket-site for info) and send your logs with it.

It uses its own folder.
