forge 1.19 is in development and has made several forking changes the past week. most mods are not compatible with the current build, and it's a patchwork/minefield actually trying to get anything to work together right now. it would be a lot more producctive to keep with 1.18.2 a few more weeks

be aware that version of MC will only run on Java 8 (and maybe 11) but not anything newer. if you have that installed as your primary java path right now you'll need to change something

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows.

1. Open the CF settings.
2. Open the Minecraft Tab.
3. Click Change.
4. Click in the address bar where it says "This PC".
5. Push CTRL+C to copy the text that is highlighted.
6. Close the Select a folder window.
7. Click the on the taskbar.
8. Type in gpu, you should see a Graphics Settings option, click it.
9. Under Graphics performance preference select Desktop App.
10. Click Browse.
11. In the address bar where it says This PC, click it.
12. Push CTRL+V to paste in the location you got in step #4-5.
13. Hit enter.
14. Now open the Install folder from the list that shows up.
15. Open the runtime folder.
16. Click in the Search runtime box in the top left and put javaw.exe in it.
17. Select the first javaw.exe in the list.
18. Click Add on the bottom of the window.
19. Click the Options button on the newly added option.
20. Set it to High performance on best GPU you have.

I downloaded this pack but then I added and deleted some mods. It worked fine until recently updated a bunch of mods on curseforge. I went back and restored the mods to their previous versions and it still won't start.

What ever you changed likely broke the pack. Easiest fix is to back up any worlds you want to keep then reinstall the pack and not change anything.

If you want to make changes better to make your own custom profile and add what all mods you want using the app. Makes it easier for us to be able to help you as we have no idea what was in the original pack vs what you changed

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

1. Check if the modpack has a server pack, if it does: use that and skip below.
2. Go to the Forge website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the Installer for the forge version the pack is using.
3. Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
4. Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
5. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
6. Run the server again.
7. Port forward your machine if needed. (Google it)

Mods = Individual mod files.
Modpacks = Multiple mods put into the mods folder or downloaded from CurseForge.

These are not Interchangeable! Please use the correct terms as it allows us to help you faster!

All I can tell you is your client and server mods dont match. Meaning you have the wrong version of the modpack or mods installed on your client.

Forge 1.19 & You

Forge has released changes that break mods. The best option you have at the moment is to wait for mods to update to fix their issues with forge. If you do not wish to do that you can:

-Downgrade to forge 41.0.63, then downgrade all the mods that show an error until you find a version that works.
-Read your logs to see which mods are breaking and report the issue to the mod author
-Remove all your mods, and reinstall them 1 by 1 to check which will have issues and remove any that do.
-Check the dates of the last release of the mods you choose compared to the last breaking change from forge (version 41.0.94)

If you can't or don't want to do any of these then wait until 1.19.1 to use forge again.

You can update the mod loader within the same game version in the CurseForge app by following these steps!

1. Click on the modpack profile you are working with.

Basically for what ever reason your taking to long to connect to the server (which makes 0 sense). However I have seen this before for Vault hunters and people have said "just keep trying till it works"

Hello, I've been trying to play mc using a 1.12 modpack, but everytime I try to launch it, mc gives me a white or dark screen.

None of the mods are incompatible, many people have used it, and have gotten no problems. I'v tried giving minecraft 5000, 8000, 10000, and 11000 MB of memory. I'm also using a mac on the Monterey OS, v12.4.

I can press play on the modpack in curseforge, and it'll pop out the mc launcher of which i can then press play. It'll then present the screen showing the mods loading up. But once that's done, i just see a black or white screen. I can hear buttons being clicked where the minecraft main menu buttons are, but i can't see anything.

Forge 1.19 & You

Forge has released changes that break mods. The best option you have at the moment is to wait for mods to update to fix their issues with forge. If you do not wish to do that you can:

-Downgrade to forge 41.0.63, then downgrade all the mods that show an error until you find a version that works.
-Read your logs to see which mods are breaking and report the issue to the mod author
-Remove all your mods, and reinstall them 1 by 1 to check which will have issues and remove any that do.
-Check the dates of the last release of the mods you choose compared to the last breaking change from forge (version 41.0.94)

If you can't or don't want to do any of these then wait until 1.19.1 to use forge again.

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**
