When you remove any mod forge recognises it and will delete any blocks and items from that mod, so your world will still load

yes bisect is a large reputable one. they have a large discord presence as well. (they do host my own modpack and i use their website - disclaimer lol). their interface layout is very nice and you can easily do custom whatever as well

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

1. Check if the modpack has a server pack, if it does: use that and skip below.
2. Go to the Forge website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the Installer for the forge version the pack is using.
3. Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
4. Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
5. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
6. Run the server again.
7. Port forward your machine if needed. (Google it)

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click the Add More Content button, IF this button is not there, see below before continuing.
3. Find the Mods, Resource Packs or Maps you wish to Install and click Install on them.
4. Wait for all the required mods to be downloaded.
5. Start the modpack.

How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks.

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click on the button next to the Play button.
3. Click on Profile Options.
4. Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

NOTE: The Allow content management for this profile option is what allows you to Delete, Disable, Update or Install any Mods, Resource Packs or Maps managed by CurseForge. It must be on to modify any of them! (Currently)

Hey! i use CurseForge for Minecraft Mods 🙂 My Problem: Because of the Microsoft Migration at the Minecraft account, i cant log into my Minecraft account while i want to play the Modpack. Can anybody help me?

CurseForge does not handle or touch the Minecraft Login.
You must own JAVA Edition
If you have a DEMO button instead of a PLAY button in the launcher you are logged into an account that does not own the game. CurseForge requires you to own the game to use it.

How to install modpacks with the search features in app.

1. Open the Minecraft section of the app.
2. Click the top search bar where it says Search for modpacks OR Click the Browse Modpacks Tab.
3. Find the Modpack you want to install and click install on it.
4. Wait for CurseForge app to download and unpack all the required files.
5. Once finished, click Play!

if its on a server and you want to use it, then everyone else needs the exact same mods

I'm trying to add Optifine to a modpack (Creation 2.5), but I can't get it to load. People have told me to just add the Optifine JAR into the mods folder, but that doesn't work.

I have tried to install optifine for that modpack, but the installer for Optifine just gave me an error saying it cannot find Minecraft.

I've been trying out all these newer forge ports of old or Fabric performance mods like Sulfuric, Halogen, the Sodium ports - and really seem to get no significant diff on 1.16.5 since I'm already running it on java 16.0.2 which is a much more massive improvement

I am having problems setting up a 1.12.2 forge server. The forge jar file won't run.
Typing java -versions into command prompt says I have version 16, but my java file says that it is version 8. The file name is jre1.8.0_311.

so what really happens - when you use a java install and 'install' it - it makes the OS environmental variable called "java" equal to that java version you are installing.

start D:\java\jdk-15.0.2+7-jre\bin\java.exe

to specify a specific java in some random folder. you can download free open source versions of diff javas as binaries, unzip them, and do this way

or you can go to add/remove programs, uninstall java 16 or just all javas to do a clean sweep, and reinstall java 8 64-bit

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

1. Check if the modpack has a server pack, if it does: use that and skip below.
2. Go to the Forge website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the Installer for the forge version the pack is using.
3. Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
4. Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
5. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
6. Run the server again.
7. Port forward your machine if needed. (Google it)

You must own JAVA Edition
