**Minecraft Files should NOT be installed inside the following locations
.minecraft folder.
OneDrive folders.
Desktop folder.
Drive roots I.E. Directly into the C:\ drive.
iCloud enabled folders.

Where to find the log on the CurseForge Client.

ok so lan has always been iffy for modded minecraft. Never works all that well. a local server (or rented) is the better way to go for modded

I am on Mac I never had any troubles in the past with it but ever since downloading quite a few modpacks last night the app will not load and when I go to the Minecraft tab in settings it will not load either will show screenshots of what I see when I launch the app

If you're putting it straight on a server you should just copy the mod and config folders, as the export function outputs a file that is expected to be processed by a Curse client and does not contain all the mods themselves

can someone please help me? I'm playing Minehafts and Monsters 1.16.5 Singleplayer, and when I try to get in the nether, it loads me in, but after 10 seconds it says "Waiting for server" and ive waited for over an hour and it's still just frozen

Ive tried to fix it 2 times (btw the type of freezing is where I can move around, but everything else is frozen, blocks mined dont drop, mobs are frozen, basically time is frozen)

Hey I currently need help with a mod pack of mine. I am currently making a pvp client and using Mac since my pc is broken. I have Java 8u251 installed. whenever I run the client it says something along the liens of error: could not load or find main file

I code in regular Java but I am new to coding with workspaces and mods so it may just be a noob error.It mentions something about legacy dev. I would appreciate any type of help with this. I don’t know if it’s my OS, or my gradlew file was damaged, etc.

Sync and your Project.

CurseForge App and site do not share the same requirements! You can find things on the site but this does not mean it will be in the app!
For a mod to show up in the app:

Projects MUST have a file marked as RELEASE or BETA
Projects MUST be APPROVED
Projects MUST have a file marked for the PROFILE VERSION USED
Projects CAN'T be EXPERIMENTAL
Projects CAN'T be ABANDON

Files can take a while to show up in the app. If your files still have not shown up either your project is new and you have yet to mark a file as Release/Beta or there is issues with the sync system making it slow.

Curse doesn't share files with standalone Minecraft, so if you installed Forge manually Curse won't see it

How to install mods in CurseForge App.

Click + Create Custom Profile
Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the Forge version (usually the highest number), click Create.
Click the profile icon.

So, I have encountered a problem. I have tried everything I can think to try including every recommendation I've found on search. I've reinstalled everything associated. I've allocated more ram. Yet when I load the pack from forge, any of them, it loads the Minecraft launcher. I select play. It loads it. Then nothing. the play button reloads. It doesn't exit out of the launcher like it's supposed to, and the actual game doesn't load.

Wording is important!

Forge = Minecraft Forge, This is a modloader often just called "Forge".
CurseForge = A Website/App that has content for games.
Mods = Individual mod files.
Modpacks = Multiple mods put into the mods folder or downloaded from CurseForge.

These are not Interchangeable! Please use the correct terms as it allows us to help you faster!

Where to find the log on the CurseForge Client.

Right-click the modpack profile icon OR click the CFmenu button in the modpack profile.
Click CFfolder Open Folder.
Open the logs folder.
Find the file called latest.log and drag it into discord.

If that's the case look for launcher_log.txt in the Install folder (Note that this will only show the latest run of the launcher, so you may need to reproduce the issue again before providing it)

Okay so I just transferred some mods from my tekkit download I have from 1.2.5 and changed the minecraft version to 1.2.5. I got farther, but I still crashed. Not sure why I crashed. I know that I can run the tekkit modpack from the techniclauncher, though. I've run far more intense modpacks with it with no problem. @autumn agate

they dont indeed. but it needs 2 gbs to run with stable processes. they do sometimes go over 2 gbs tho so thats why u put more gb incase it needs it

Where to find the log on the CurseForge Client.

Right-click the modpack profile icon OR click the CFmenu button in the modpack profile.
Click CFfolder Open Folder.
Open the logs folder.
Find the file called latest.log and drag it into discord.

How to install mods in CurseForge App.

Click + Create Custom Profile
Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the Forge version (usually the highest number), click Create.
Click the profile icon.
Click Add New Content
Search and install the desired mods.
Start the game!

How to install mods not on CurseForge.

Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.
Click Open Folder.
Drag the mod(s) into the mods folder. (Note: Some mods will require others, to run. Make sure to read the instructions for the mod!)
