go to video settings > change the gui scale. 3 is what I use. Its a bit smaller then auto but everything fits in the page at least

Looks like watchdog is killing the game due to excessive lag. You can adjust that in the server settings. Simply add two zeros to the current number for max tick.. Though if the lag is bad you're going to need to look into the cause.

Now load the modpack normally.

How to add/remove mods in a modpack.

Click on the picture of the modpack.
Click the Add More Content button, IF this button is not there, see below before continuing.
Find the Mods, Resource Packs or Maps you wish to Install and click Install on them.
Wait for all the required mods to be downloaded.
Start the modpack.

How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks.

Click on the picture of the modpack.
Click on the button next to the Play button.
Click on Profile Options.
Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

NOTE: The Allow content management for this profile option is what allows you to Delete, Disable, Update or Install any Mods, Resource Packs or Maps managed by CurseForge. It must be on to modify any of them! (Currently)

How to install mods in CurseForge App.

Click + Create Custom Profile
Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the Forge version (usually the highest number), click Create.
Click the profile icon.
Click Add New Content
Search and install the desired mods.
Start the game!

How to install mods not on CurseForge.

Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.
Click Open Folder.
Drag the mod(s) into the mods folder. (Note: Some mods will require others, to run. Make sure to read the instructions for the mod!)
Start the game!

The server was frozen for too long (60s), which causes it to crash.
You can "fix" it by increase the max-tick-time in the server.properties file. Either add a couple of 0's to it, or just set it to 0.

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

Go to the Forge website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the Installer for the forge version the pack is using.
Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
Run the server again.

There are two ways to share a modpack you've made with others...

Export and Share - For Friends to Small Groups.

Click the Icon for the modpack.
Click the button next to play.
Click Export.
Select the files that should be included.
Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack!

Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone.

This options will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

Go to here: https://www.curseforge.com/project/432/4471/create
Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
Click the button next to play.
Click Export.
Select the files that should be included.
Open your Project you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations)

Wording is important!

Forge = Minecraft Forge, This is a modloader often just called "Forge".
CurseForge = A Website/App that has content for games.
Mods = Individual mod files.
Modpacks = Multiple mods put into the mods folder or downloaded from CurseForge.

Missing Java Fix!

Before you try to fix anything, make sure that minecraft is closed!
If minecraft is open then you will need to close it and try to launch again.

Click on the icon in the bottom left.
Click the Minecraft Tab.
Click Change next to the Minecraft Modding Folder Option.
Right click the folder named Install.
Select Open in new window.
Double click the minecraft.exe.
Close the Launcher once it's done loading.
Restart Overwolf & CurseForge or the computer.
Play game!

If the above doesn't work....

Right-click the modpack profile icon OR click the CFmenu button in the modpack profile.
Click CFfolder Open Folder.

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

Go to the Forge website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the Installer for the forge version the pack is using.
Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
Run the server again.

Hi! I'm back to fiddling with my modpack after a long break from Minecraft(the last update to my pack was in early March), so upon coming back, I updated every mod in my personal test copy of the pack. But now I think a world generation mod is present, though I don't think I installed any more mods before I left, and if I did, I don't remember what they are(I know. Silly me for not being more cautious!).

Basically, when I try to create a new world, the world loading screen gets stuck at 100%, forcing me to use the task manager to exit the game, or the message "connection lost" appears after the world has loaded to 100%.

Hey I have set up a Forge server for me and my friends and we have a couple of mods installed. I‘m using „Biomes O Plenty“, „Towers of the Wild“ and „Valhelsia Structures“ but I have yet to see any structures. Could it be that the mods are not compatible so the Valhelsia structures/buildings don‘t generate at all?

How to install mods in CurseForge App.

Click + Create Custom Profile
Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the Forge version (usually the highest number), click Create.
Click the profile icon.
Click Add New Content
Search and install the desired mods.
Start the game!

How to install mods not on CurseForge.

Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.
Click Open Folder.
Drag the mod(s) into the mods folder. (Note: Some mods will require others, to run. Make sure to read the instructions for the mod!)

There are two ways to share a modpack you've made with others...

Export and Share - For Friends to Small Groups.

Click the Icon for the modpack.
Click the button next to play.
Click Export.
Select the files that should be included.
Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack!

Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone.

This options will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

Go to here: https://www.curseforge.com/project/432/4471/create
Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
Click the button next to play.
Click Export.
Select the files that should be included.
Open your Project you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations)
