For you, I would recommend downloading the same one. The Minecraft launcher uses its own Java runtime for Vanilla, wheras CF needs you to have one externally

I started playing and everything was normal, until I was doing a build and realized that the world froze.. With the One Probe Mod that shows me what I'm looking at, it said "waiting for server", so I couldn't do anything. Even exiting single player, it kept saying "saving the world" and froze there as well. I had to force close Minecraft. If I go back into my single player world, it takes about 1 minute to freeze again. I have absolutely no idea what might be wrong...

I've made and hosted my own pack on curseforge, first update went perfectly (Pushed to client pretty much instantly), but I committed 2 updates today and neither are appearing on the CF Client, I've tried restarting the client, my computer, deleting and redownloading the profile, it even says on the modpack listing that last update was 2 days ago, but on the website it shows it was about a half hour ago, any ideas as to how to possibly resolve it?

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

Missing Java Fix!

Before you try to fix anything, make sure that minecraft is closed!
If minecraft is open then you will need to close it and try to launch again.

1. Click on the icon in the bottom left.
2. Click the Minecraft Tab.
3. Click Change next to the Minecraft Modding Folder Option.
4. Right click the folder named Install.
5. Select Open in new window.
6. Double click the minecraft.exe.
7. Close the Launcher once it's done loading.
8. Restart Overwolf & CurseForge or the computer.
9. Play game!

If the above doesn't work....

Hey, I've been trying to run a modpack for Minecraft 1.12.2 through the desktop app, and everything goes smoothly up until the launcher opens

In short, I'm not logged in correct and my username is displaying as "Player" and I can't play the full game, and when I do try to launch the game it comes up with a crash message

Hello, i have a hard time trying to download stuff. It just says "the specified path file name or both are too long" What do i do?

hi guys,
I've installed the server pack for Agrarian Skies 2. (on a separate laptop)
Did the setup, it kinda works.
In average the ticks are up to 20ms. Usually around 2. ~350MB RAM used out of 4gb that I assigned.
However, the server clearly lags. The mob movement is laggy, etc.. mainly Im checking in the furnace.. The progress drops back a bit, then forward approximately 3 times a second.
I cannot understand what the problem might be.. Is it the server, or maybe the UPC modem?
Any suggestions are appreciated 🙂

Sync and your Project.

CurseForge REQUIRE a project to have one file marked Released on them for the projects to show up in search. Otherwise only Direct links to the project work.

Files can take a while to show up in the app. If your files still have not shown up either your project is new and you have yet to mark a file as Release or there is issues with the sync system making it slow.

are you checking tps when you get the lag? very well could just be spiking and not constant lag

Right-click the modpack profile icon OR click the button in the modpack profile.

yea, connection would be my guess. whatever that entails. 2ms means there is barely anything going on, absolutely no lag on there.

How to install mods in CurseForge App.

1. Click + Create Custom Profile
2. Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the Forge version (usually the highest number), click Create.
3. Click the profile icon.
4. Click Add New Content
5. Search and install the desired mods.

1. Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.

2. Click the Add More Content button, IF this button is not there, see below before continuing.
3. Find the Mods, Resource Packs or Maps you wish to Install and click Install on them.
4. Wait for all the required mods to be downloaded.
5. Start the modpack.

How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks.

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click on the button next to the Play button.
3. Click on Profile Options.
4. Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

NOTE: The Allow content management for this profile option is what allows you to Delete, Disable, Update or Install any Mods, Resource Packs or Maps managed by CurseForge. It must be on to modify any of them! (Currently)
