Hello, so I've been running into an issue where whenever I load up the minecraft launcher from the curseforge launcher(modpacks and the like) the minecraft launcher will either not open or appear with a black screen? Just yesterday it was operating completely fine, and the only way I can force the launcher to appear, even though it has a black screen and i can't do much with it, is by shutting down the duplicate minecraft launchers that appear in task manager. Any solutions or people having similar issues?

Also I would like to note that the normal minecraft launcher is still fully functional

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

1. Go to the Forge website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the Installer for the forge version the pack is using.
2. Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
3. Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
4. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
5. Run the server again.

You are downloading it by hand, your browser tries to run it.
If you use the Curseforge client (mod manager) then you don't have that issue

I'm having trouble importing a modpack. When I click import and select the .zip file nothing happens nothing changes and nothing starts downloading. The only way I can get the zip file to start working is to delete the "overrides" folder but then I cant join the server I'm trying to join. The modpack zip file worked for everyone except me. I already tried updating java, uninstalling CurseForge, and deleting the minecraft folder in documents but still the modpack doesn't download. I already created a support ticket but thought I might as well ask here in case.

Yes, and then you edit the path, and follow the instructions, creating a folder/directory called CurseForge, in the root of your drive.

And use that path.

That way, CurseForge can manage the instances and mods.

the server only needs the server side (hence the name)[the ones that adds blocks items entities et cetra] and the client needs both [anything that doesnt add things to the game like xray mods and ui changes]

Look, the first thing I did, was click the download server pack button. That's it. Then I switched EULA to true, as usual, and clicked play on the regular launcher to launch the game. When I joined it said "MrCrayfish Vehicle Mod required some versiona and client doesn't have it. It included several other mods.

curseforge has nothing to do with your account or logging in. you need a minecraft account, no way around that

hey all, serious issue for me here. I run a modded server for some friends and since last night everytime a mob attakcs a player the server crashes. Each crash can be related to a ticking entity acc to crash reports. both in openworld and nether, if player is in creative and attacks nothing happens, its as soon as the mob attacks that it crahes.

Last night I added immersive engineering, immersive petrolium, Fast Furnace and Random patches to the server, but none of them have anything that interacts with mob attacks afak.

Game 1.16.5, bespoke mod collection on forge 36.0.9.

Attached report is for fireball in nether, it also happens for skeleton in nether and zombie in open world

Fabric modpacks or the use Fabric mods require you to install a mod called Jumploader.
Fabric mods do not work with Forge.
Forge mods do not work with Fabric.

it's not uncommon at all that 2 mods (or more) don;t get along together. also other things may be happening of course. that's why it's important to add in steps so that you know when it goes from working to broken

Having an issue with my modpack, hoping someone here can help. My modpack has been uploaded and accepted by CurseForge, however when I try to install it, the Curse launcher opens and says "Manifest File Does not exist". The file is set to "release" and the license is public domain. is this just a matter of needing to wait for the pack to become live on the launcher or something? Not sure what to do, or exactly what this error means.

CurseForge = A Website/App that has content for games.
Mods = Individual mod files.
Modpacks = Multiple mods put into the mods folder or downloaded from CurseForge.

These are not Interchangeable! Please use the correct terms as it allows us to help you faster!
