Sync and your Project.

CurseForge REQUIRE a project to have one file marked Released on them for the projects to show up in search. Otherwise only Direct links to the project work.

Files can take a while to show up in the app. If your files still have not shown up either your project is new and you have yet to mark a file as Release or there is issues with the sync system making it slow.

CurseForge = A Website/App that has content for games.
Mods = Individual mod files.
Modpacks = Multiple mods put into the mods folder or downloaded from CurseForge.

a youtube video may be the best way to ingest that

but it's actually pretty easy - you download the forge install file from where it's hosted, install it as a server instance, and then go from there adding folders for mods and extra customizations

highly suggest downloading some other people's server pack.zip files and looking inside

i'm having an issue where it say's my file for a texturepack is duplicated and rejected, i have no idea why though, I made the texture pack originally in like 2017, in 2019 i created a curseforge acc to upload it from and i never came back to it, came back today with some new addittions i did out of the blue and started up a new project, it said the file was duplicated so i just deleted the second project and tried uploading to the original project now that i remembered it existed, i saw the project and found nothing in the files so i uploaded the file and everytime i do it says the same thing,:rejected due to the file already existed, i've already tried two times with different file names and even zipping the file and still i'm having this issue, i don't ever remember uploading it to forge in any other sense.

So me and my cousin are trying to play a mod pack together on Minecraft and I’m trying to install the mod pack but it’s giving me an error saying “the specified path, file name, or both are too long. The dummy qualified file name must be less than 260 characters long, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters.” But I don’t understand any of that and neither of us know how to fix it what should I do??

Hi - I am trying to load add-ons for ESO - Curse Forge looks for the add-on file in the ESO Game file but the add-on file is in a different location.
I am not allowed to manually add the file as Curse Forge states it is not a valid file name. Anyone got any suggestions?

I need help getting approval from the Curseforge moderators for a project. I made a Minecraft world and uploaded it to Curseforge a while ago and it was approved, but the file was removed. The project, https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/worlds/the-art-gallery-browse-art-from-the-internet-in/files, pulls images from a moderated art subreddit and has a possibility of including NSFW images if neither the original poster nor a moderator has marked it yet. A note from Curseforge mentioned including more of a filter, but I don't think its needed. I did my own research over 30 days and found that 99.0% (594/600) of works that the world would have included were safe for work. My judgement was subjective, though, and a couple that I excluded were considered safe by moderators, so a more accurate figure might be closer to 100%. I also think that an AI filter wouldn't be able to reliably filter abstract NSFW images, it wouldn't be feasible.

Hey guys with the recent client update that removed the ability to used jar launchers (with an understandable reason), I have an issue where if I try to load up multiple MC instances using differnet profiles, the profile of the LAST instance is cached or something and thus I cannot load another modpack without manually changing the directory (i.e. If I load profile A then I try to load profile B, MC will try to load profile A instead)

2. Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the Forge version (usually the highest number), click Create.
3. Click the profile icon.
4. Click Add New Content
5. Search and install the desired mods.

1. Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.
2. Click Open Folder.

How to get a Minecraft log file.

Where to find the log on the CurseForge Client.

Right-click the modpack profile icon OR click the button in the modpack profile.

You can report it if you want, it's there for that reason. You won't get in trouble for doing so if you are wrong.

ok well lets give that a try then go to settings on curseforge and go to the curseforge tab which should be the first one by default. change to exit curseforge when you close it then close out of the app which should refresh it

once you do that try again and click on the modpack if that doesnt help then idk mate

Try to restart the app, and if that doesnt help, go to the modding folder and delete the Install directory. This seems to be a Minecraft issue rather than a CF unless CF is locking some folder.
