Hello all. I decided to start fresh and uninstall twich, my old FTB launchers, CurseForge and Overwolf and reinstall just the Curseforge/Overworlf app. After doing so the Curseforge app does not even recognize minecraft. I have since removed and reinstalled Minecraft as well. It does not show up after scanning for games. If I try to manually add the game I get the error message "This is an invalid directory or unsupported game" Minecraft is installed in the default "C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft Launcher" location. What am i missing?

Well, I should think that if Minecraft is installed, the icon should not be greyed out. It did not occur to me to click on the greyed out icon.

The problem with that is minecraft doesn't follow other game detection logic.

It doesn't even use the base game you installed on the computer, it will install it's own copy of everything to manage.

Yes, if the user has iCloud the ~/Documents folder will actually be in a different place and magically linked to the ~ folder

My CurseForge won't install, and won't uninstall properly.

First, overnight it started giving me a wrong error message on startup, claiming that the Windows version is incompatible (I run win7 64bit). This is probably due to a cluster breaking in my HDD.

I tried to uninstall both Curse and Overwolf from the control panel. Something clearly went wrong as Curse's desktop icon is still there while not beeing listed as installed. Trying to download a new installer and run it didn't solve the issue: when I run the installer it clearly does something in the background, but then nothing happends.

I am in no condition to open a ticket.

... but would love a way to force a complete uninstall.

This wouldn't be a problem, but now if I want to make mod changes and back up older versions of the modpack, it takes up a lot of space on my computer. Export and Share - For Friends to Small Groups.

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.
2. Click the button next to play.
3. Click Export.

5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack!

Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone.

This options will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to here: https://www.curseforge.com/project/432/4471/create
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations)

CurseForge REQUIRE a project to have one file marked Released on them for the projects to show up in search. Otherwise only Direct links to the project work.

Files can take a while to show up in the app. If your files still have not shown up either your project is new and you have yet to mark a file as Release or there is issues with the sync system making it slow.

Hi all! I just updated my mod pack to a newer version for the first time. IT was quickly approved by the amazing folks at Curseforge but its not showing in the APP. Hello, I have an issue while trying to download curseforge. I've just recently redownloaded overwolf, but whenever I go to click on the installation .exe file for Curseforge, it'll pop up with the Yes to Modify Files pop-up, but it won't do anything except run in the background on task manager. Export and Share - For Friends to Small Groups.

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.
2. Click the button next to play.
3. Click Export.
4. Select the files that should be included.
5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack!

Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone.

This options will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to here: https://www.curseforge.com/project/432/4471/create
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.

How to install custom modpacks:

1. Launch the CurseForge desktop application (or install it if not installed)
2. Download the modpack you wish to play, on CurseForge you can navigate to the Files tab, then click the Download arrow. The modpack will begin downloading as a ZIP File

4. Click + Create Custom Profile
5. In the Create Profile menu, select import a previously created profile
6. In the pop-up window, navigate to the directory of the ZIP File (Default: C:\Users\USER\Downloads)

The last one isnt a valid error for troubleshooting, everyone gets this in every log when using java 8 or higher.

You have mod versions for the wrong game version. I'd advise you to not just start downloading files and dropping them in existing modpacks if you have no clue what you are working with. Then mods for the wrong forge version.
