Hello, Im looking for some help running modpacks that only have a shell file to run. Recently I wanted to play Stacia 2, but after looking at the shell file made by that server-start generator thing I notice that 1. it doesnt say where the launch jar file is 2. it starts multiple jars at once. I run multiple servers and find it really easy to deploy contained servers using docker. But, its not working no matter what forge jar I use. I even tried checking the metadata and only got 2 return values on 2 vanilla minecraft jars. Anyone know of a docker container that uses shell scripts? Or how to find the absolute jar? This is driving me nutts

I never used a server-start generator or something like this

Just download the latest 1.19.2 forge server and place the necessary files like configs mods etc. into the server directory.

Give the sh file permission to run and you should be good to go

For docker I would just use the itzg repo and specify the forge version etc.

I cannot remember if stacia has some special treatment in their server files like a pre installed server starter, but I also just downloaded forge server installer to run it back in the days

So adding mods to packs you didnt make is the fastest way to break them. And since we didnt make the original pack, the recommended fix is to save any important worlds > reinstall the pack > dont make any changes

Generally users are on their own to figure out issues if they wish to edit packs they didnt make. We can help with un-edited pre-mades and custom packs made from scratch as we at least have some sort of baseline to work off of.

Editing pre-mades would be like taking the unknown, adding more unknown, then trying to guess which needle broke in the stack of potentially broken needles

Since I dont know what was in the pack to start with, or what you added. Anything I say to add or remove could cause more things to break and end up taking anywhere from a few min to hours of troubleshooting.... something that worked before you edited it.

Hello, been trying to fix the issue for few days now, PLEASE help me fix this:
launching minecraft creates “Generic Display” with my rtx 3060 gpu, it switches my Laptop to “Secondary display only” even tho i only have single display.
Problem is, it makes my pc lag and stutter. Closing the launcher also makes the “Generic Display” close. Tried to fix this issue myself, updated drivers, reinstalled mc and curseforge, uninstalled “Generic display” on device manager (after relaunching MC ir just appears again) nothing fixed the issue.

Also forcing minecraft to use my iGPU fixed the issue but it makes mc lag with mods since its not using my RTX gpu.
If i force switch WindowsXp + P > PC screen only, after 15 secs it automatically switches back to “Second Screen only” (i only got 1 original display on my laptop, no external monitors)

Kerbal Space Program - Update

Hi space travelers,
We’ve got an update regarding Kerbal Space Program on the CurseForge app.

Over time, we’ve seen fewer users installing and updating KSP mods through the app. So to focus our efforts where they matter most, we’ve decided to deprecate app support for KSP.

What does this mean?

• You can still download KSP mods on the CurseForge website.
• The CurseForge app will no longer support mod installs or updates for KSP.

This decision wasn’t easy, ..

Logically no. It's just a API, instead you ask the API to download a virus in your computer everything should be safe - just be careful of what you are doing

1. Right-click the modpack profile icon OR click the button in the modpack profile.
2. Click Open Folder.
3. Open the logs folder.
4. Drag and drop the FILE named latest into discord.

@sly path Changing Industrial Foregoing didn't help. Why would a server connection loss cause the game to crash if I'm in a single player world?

I'm having the same issue been like this for months. I auto scan my games says there is non. I manually look for them and it doesnt show any of my game launcher exe within the correct game path files. I keep unistalling and reinstalling curseforge and Overwolf as well. The same thing keeps happening. I love curseforge when it works. Ive been trying to get Ark to work on here. Ive even tried games I know forsure are on the list and still the same problem. I just want to use curseforge to easily mod games. If anyone knows what I can do I'd be so very greatful. 🥹

Also if I go to the website and just click install a mod it says mod install failed, game was not found..... It was working fine a week or so ago.

While not curseforge related - I know roblox is also resource heavy, especially if you have graphics settings set up to high. There are some tweaks you can look at while in any place on Roblox.

I know you asked about minecraft too, so I'd recommend probably checking out how much space is left on your iPad, and possibly any graphics settings you can turn off or turn down to run more smoothly on your device

Bonnie, can you try to remove every client mods from your modpack as well and see if you can join the server?

ive tried that before it didnt work

i removed everything i had on my client and it didnt change anything

ive tried making a fully seperate instance too, using the same mods as vissca because the game works for it

this has been a reoccurring error when joining the server rarely, but usually restarting it fixed it

now it seems permanent
