I'm playing modded minecraft and this is my problem : I get random fps drops now and then when looking at specific parts of the ground, and when I go into spectator to check it out not only is there nothing there but when I enter spectator mode the lag disappears and doesn't return in survivor for a while

For various reasons - configuration (config) files in modded Minecraft profiles can sometimes become corrupted and must be removed for the profile to load correctly.

Options to remove corrupted config files:

• Read the log file and delete the file mentioned nearby to the Not enough data available message. Try to launch the profile again and repeat the process reading logs and deleting files until all have been found.

• Get the community created helper script from this Curseforge community github site and run it to scan for, and remove corrupted config files.

  • Place a copy of the script file in the profile folder you would like to repair. To find the profile folder - Enter the profile screen in the Curseforge app, go to options and then select open folder
  • Run the file which you have copied to the profile folder, wait for it to finish scanning - and confirm if you would like to remove what it found.

Can anyone tell me what’s happening with mods on ps5? I’m playing on Arkfast nemesis/descended and for last few days, since last games update, I can’t do nothing. All of my inventory is empty, can’t open or use almost nothing, except opening a few storages, and those are also empty, even though they were full of everything. I can’t even exit the base since tek doors aren’t opening, can’t use dinos, can’t open cryofridge.
I updated all the mods to most recent version and the same problem still occurs. And it’s really frustrating since I just have two more tears of bosses to finish the game. Please help!

And I should elaborate that I'm using a modpack instead of vanilla Minecraft.

On top of that, CurseForge has Java executeable settings for a few versions including Java 21 so your advice doesn't add up.

the mc launcher includes its own copies of java, this is set by mojang. CF uses a copy of the mojang launcher, and gets the javas for the user. Meaning by default users dont need to install java to use the cf app / mc.

However users can tell the CF app to use javas on their pc if needed for X reasons. And example is when the app is unable to downloaded the version of java the mc launcher is attempting to get for any network related issues. That is why they cf app has java settings for javas 8, 17 & 21

As those are the java versions set by mojang

anyone who plays the Mustard Virus by Forge Labs, i have a question about the "Bloodmoon" mod. In my 3-day save (in game days) the blood moon showed up all 3 nights. I dont know. First 2 nights i had it on default (0.17%) then i set it to 0.09%. It still showed up. I dont know what are the odds but i think they are EXTREMLY small. Is it a bug or am i just so unlucky?

I believe the bloodmoon have gone a bit outdated in some weird ways, and some stranges issue do happens with the mod. I have similar things happens when playing this mod.

However, I believe there is a setting to enable blood moons every night - it's problably enabled in your modpack

currently stuck in a cycle (both on server and in singleplayer) where the game runs fine and randomly only loads 1-4 chunks (at least visibly). It stays in this state for around 10 minutes then fixes itself, does not fix on rejoining server but does if you restart it (rejoining singleplayer fixes it cause it counts as a restart)

i have a problem. When i play my custom made Forge 1.20.1 modpack everything is normal. But when i switch the shaders to enabled, everything is dissapearing, then appearing and the cycle continues. I have the "sinytra connector" mod so that i can have the "Big Globe" mod installed (it makes the world -XXXX y). Essential Mod is having issues, and cause the game to break. Might only be conflicting with ftbchunks, or with more mods. Essential might just went corrupted somehow as well in your general game and could need to be reinstalled

Not a solution at all.
There is Sinytra Connector which is a mod* that try to "translate" others mod's code to run Fabric mods into Forge. Forgified Fabric API is the second part of Sinytra Connector, they are like one single mod in two seperate entities that need each others to work as expected.

You don't have Sinytra Connector in your log, and since they don't always translate mods well they might worsen things even more

not sure if this has anythign to do with my mods, but my shift in game is really glitching out - at first i thought my keyboard wasnt working but that isnt it, occasionally but more often than not i wont shift when i hold the key, however if i try and for example shift scroll through something that does still work even if im not physically shifting in game, but other stuff like trying to shift to place something on a chest does not work, and also later on in game i will just shift, so its like the shift is weirdly delayed but idk if theres a consistent time between pressing shift and i actually shift in the game

it probably is to do with the mods since this has never happened in vanilla, but it only sort of started happening recently in the game, i played it for a bit wihtout that happening tho not too long, and it does only happen occasionally i think

also if i try clikcing shift when i physically shift in game nothign happens and im just stuck shifting, however doing anything similar to opening my inventory like opening my minimap or pausing the game does break the shifting and stop me shifting

Depending on the mods you have, couple options include but not limited to:

• Strip mining between Y -53 and -61 for 1.18+, or 5-12 for 1.17 and under
• Tinkers Construct and Silent Gear both have 3x3 (or higher) mining hammers that could be used to make strip mining easier (Couple other mods have just 3x3 sizes)
• Industrial forgoing has a mining tool of sorts, lets you mine a lot larger at the cost of power(mid game maybe)
• If you have create mod you could build a mining machine and afk with it
• Mods like Alchemestry could be used to turn anything that produces carbon (coal, wood, plants, etc) into diamonds
• Pnuematiccraft allows you to compress coal blocks into diamonds, so would just need a coal farm and pressure chamber
• Mystical Agriculture lets you grow diamonds, and other materials. Have to put in work to get em tho
• Many of the tech mods tend to have ways to either farm or turn 1 diamond ore into 2+ diamonds (depends on the mod)

All just comes down to what you got and what your willing to do

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Open Task Manager while Minecraft is running (Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager)
3. Find minecraft in that list. It will be called something like "Java" or "OpenJDK Binary". (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the "Memory" tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C

8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window

i have somehow ended up stuck in a loop between the FTB chunks claim map and the rei showing recipe thing - whenever i try and click escape or e for inventory when either is open all it does is switch to the other, ive tried in rei to clikc another recipe or in FTB chunks map to go to the fulscreen map or settings or whatever but everything i try just ends up with me back stuck in the loop - i can probably just force close minecraft but im worried about what might and might not be properly saved, and also just in case this problem happens in the future - does anyone have any suggestions?

ohh i bypassed it! i had to click a recipe i had the stuff for then click the move to crafting inventory button, that got me out of it and able to go back to playing, still worried about that happening in the future tho if anyone knows how to stop it?

I definitively think the mod could be optimized. But the biggest issue is it I believe the render distance of the mod, through the portal, is already set and cannot be changed in my knowledge. From what I remember having seen around 3 or 5 of render distance, maybe even around instead of what is in your field. Plus the fact that log entities from the nether, and the fact that force the game to load two dimensions at once

I believe it's something like 5x5x5 or 3x3x3 of render distance in the mod's code? I'm not even sure, and I could be misremembering what I really looked at

Good evening. Would anyone know what's causing this crash? I don't understand the error given.
I was removing some mods from my mod pack and replacing them with other mods. And when I tried launching my game this comes up. The mods I removed were 'Delight' mods and Paladin Furniture (and the associated Patchouli mod). I did add the Ice and Fire: Dragons mod, alongside its Spells addon (for compatibility with Iron's Spells), and Fantasy Armor.
After I made those changes my game would crash. So I tried removing the new mods I added, and my game still crashes when launching.

It takes your normal lan and opens it to the internet, if it cant reach your friend OR get past your routers firewalls it will "connect" to their servers to try and route you.

Im not installing essential. I do not trust it, was a pain to remove it from my pc the last time due to the mod being an installer, not a mod

Local server is an actual server, it doesnt need your client to be on to let people play, It also splits up the processing the game has to do when playing lan.

how do i know which perf mods are compatible and complement each other? it feels like sodium and modernfix already solves a lot of the problems other popular perf mods are for. this is the list of perf mods i have:

entity culling can make issues, when your on fabric c2me should be find, on forge with sinytra it can have issues with some other mods

Does it tick needs to be configured in the config, you will need to add an black/white list for entities like lightnings etc.
