im using the mod dungeons arise, but the mobs have fixed/set attributes; i'd like to adjust the health and atk dmg of the mob to fit with the other mods installed

i've tried using the mod 'dungeon difficulty' but it only seems affect naturally generated mobs, instead of those from a custom spawner

As for the server connection error, usually see that when the client and server are not running the same version of the pack. The files are not the same.

1.6.4 is very very old. If it doesn't have the mod present you you'll need to manually add the mod named 'legacy java fix' for it to have any hope of working.
Also mods in the pack may have web links for important stuff that now no longer exist.

go into your packs config folder. Look for a file called bspkrsCore.cfg and open it. Set allowUpdateCheck=true to false. Save then reboot the pack

That would also work (on all platforms), as java lets you execute whatever you like.. So technically, you could make a mod, that depending on which OS the user is running, it could also run the server installer for the modpack it is in. xD
And it wouldn't be version dependent on Minecraft either, just needs to run the executable with a few flags, and it'd be fully automatic as well

I am having a bizarre problem. Playing 1.18.2 Forge and water evaporates when placed in the world using a water bucket. No problems with lava buckets or fish buckets. Removed all mods and the problem persists with forge installed. The problem disappears when forge is removed. Problem returns when forge is reinstalled.

some people have messed up system settings - likely this is your problem (rare but seen this before). seems like the usual cause is programs you've installed that did funky things to system settings rather than a virus.

Its a crude drawing, but Green lines are enderio cables for input. Red is the output line (Can be on any side, just neater for concept)
Sick the interface for the pattern next to a chest, use the ae2 wrench to rotate it so its arrow faces the chest. Then extract from the chest with enderio and set the 3 sides of the inscriber to export. Make some ender io filters so that the sides will only except specific items.
Then just extract the output and send it to the interface or another if its export to another network.
Can make it neater as well for the redstone and silicon. If thoes are automated can just tell ae2 to export into the side and bottem with the respective items. Then just set the pattern to 1 circuit == 1 completed.

Hey! Not sure if this is where I'm supposed to put this specific issue, but I've been at it for hours trying to help my friend figure this thing out.
On CurseForge my friend had downloaded the modpack Hexxit Updated because he wanted to give it a try with us, but for some reason everytime he tries to run it, the game always freezes at exactly 26%, then eventually crashes
He's tried allocating more RAM for it, he's uninstalled CurseForge multiple times, repaired the installation, the whole shebang when you go searching up ways to fix it. Only once did it make it past 26%, but then it'll slowly load 1 mb until it eventually crashes again
I should also add that he's tried other modpacks, and has been able to load them perfectly fine

Hello, I'm @atomic gazelles friend whos been having the issue. So far I've tried abunch of things that he and I have found by searching. The main issue is it starts downloading the mods and when it hits 26 out 96 it slows the download and just stops responding.

!mc-java use the Java 17 installer from here. dont worry that it says it is for 1.18+, it will work for what i want it to do.
keep the installation options as default, especially the one that says Add to PATH

Then (while minecraft is stuck) open command prompt (press then type in cmd and press enter)
In command prompt run jps -l
that will give you at least two numerical ids, one of them will be JPS itself and one of the others will be minecraft. hopefully there is only one other. or its labelled with minecraft, forge or similar
take the id from that and run this command in command prompt: jstack <id> > stack.txt (dont include the <>, so it looks like jstack 21884 > stack.txt)
then look for the stack.txt file in the folder that command prompt is open in (probably your user folder; C:\Users\My Username) and send that file (stack.txt) here by drag and dropping it
that file has a list of all code minecraft is running when you run that command, and i should be able to work out from that which mod is causing the freeze
