Sounds like a memory leak, not much you can do about that except for allocating more ram (which just delays the problem), or doing a search to try find the culprit mod

You coudl also try add some optimizing mods, though that may not help much

a memory leak means something gradually taking up more and more ram till it uses up all allocated, which causes java to freak out and try clear it out, which is the lag spikes you get
