Something you can try (if you have cheat mode on) is: /ranks set_permission <rank or player name> ftbutilities.homes.max <number of homes wanted>
ex: /ranks set_permission yoyok9 ftbutilities.homes.max 30 would give me 30 homes

Minecraft just uses a simple properties file.
It's just a pile of Key=Value entries. You can have as many as you want even if they are invalid for the profile you are using.
So it just saves a copy of them in another location and will overwrite (if set to do so automatically) the settings with the saved file.
So if you set up your favorite mods you use all the time to keybinds you prefer you can just add this mod to every pack/profile and it will set it up for you. Do note that 1.16 I think it was changed what a bunch of kebind names are called so it doesn't work across to 1.12 for example

Pretty simple to work out what’s client side and what’s not. A lot of those with server util category tag are server sided
And those without that tag are most likely client sided but it’s all about testing to see for yourself how it works. Though I know there is people who just want everything at one click and don’t want to bother playing about with stuff

sometimes there are requirements such as library mods, mods must be of the correct version(s) needed to be compatible, the list goes on. if you have a specific thing you're trying to make work let us know and can probably help as long as you put forth the effort on your end. basically this is why people make and use modpacks - doing the work already
