How to add/remove mods in a modpack:

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click the Add More Content button, IF this button is not there, see below before you continue.
3. Find the Mods, Resource Packs or Maps you wish to Install and click Install on them.
4. Wait for all the required mods to be downloaded.
5. Start the modpack.

How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks:

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click on the button next to the Play button.
3. Click on Profile Options.
4. Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

NOTE: The Allow content management for this profile option is what allows you to Delete, Disable, Update or Install any Mods, Resource Packs or Maps managed by CurseForge. It must be ON to modify any of them! (Currently)

You know what'd be a really fun item in a multiplayer server?

A normally useless, ordinary item... but whoever wields it has the item slowly morph to fit it's wielders preferences.

Take a helmet that has -50% Armor. If you're a particularly productive builder, suddenly the helmet would have -45% Armor, but give you +0.5 Building Reach as well.

And over time, it becomes stronger and stronger. If the helmet is looted off of someone, those attributes slowly shift and become something new to fit it's current owner.

Lowering the previous stats, raising new ones. No clarity, no warning, no notice. It just does.

And if it's ever destroyed or broken, it'll just regenerate somewhere new.

That'd be a cool item in a server.

I’ve also seen it happen if one of those dimensions had custom biomes and you deleted the mod adding those biomes fully cause it corrupted the biome thus leaving it inaccessible, it actually happened to me I had to remake my world when it did, which was fine because I had needed to do a hard reset of my modpack for that world anyways

(Oh, yeah. Also: For the "off-switch thing"? Most mods with automation have that built into their interface. Create needs you to build specific contraptions and run it through those for an off-switch. That means players- by default- won't make an off-switch because it's not intuitive for them to do so.)

In my case, it's annoying because I'll make a pretty house and than I'm left with two options:

• A) I tear open a hole in the wall, restructure the ENTIRE HOUSE and than build around the giant monster of a device... all to process one or two things.
  • Seriously, it doesn't matter how much I try to compact Create. You still need to use Cogs and Chain Drives just to get it up to speed proper. That alone takes a signficant amount of space.
• B) I build a huge warehouse right next to my house, making building the thing rather redundant.
  • Since by that point, I'd likely be doing just as much effort as the first choice. Just now I have to physically walk to the new warehouse every time I need to process something or automate a thing. Which kinda defeats the purpose of said automation.

So in reality, I'm spending more time trying to redo my house and encase it rather than actually using the mod.
I could- of course- just "lawn-base" it, but that kinda goes against why most people like the Create mod. Aesthetics.

I can fit most Mekanism machines in a single base. Anything larger than my house is usually strictly cubic and leaves more room for building around it.

Supplementaries is amazing for hiding too, you just take any sufficient "container" item (Bundles, Sacks, Backpacks, whatever works) and combine it with some Sand or Gravel to make Suspicious Sand/Gravel.
Than you can pick it back up a later point.

Most people aren't going to look around for spare gravel/sand and they're especially not going to think to bring a brush to find your crap.

Neither do I, but I've gotten in the habit of hiding anything that isn't the base meant for appearances.

You find a mysterious item you wanna keep for a later point? Store that sucker in a small 5x5 room with the only discernable entrance being a manual teleport in.

Make it harder to find via Minimaps by using Black Concrete as a flooring.

Anything meant for appearances is relegated to the surface, usually near where others are building.
If it blows up/gets torched/is consumed/etc.? I just go "Okay " and than proceed to go build something else.

I don't like destroying the world in boring, generic fashions. If I'm going to unmake something, it has to be a process. It has to leave people going "But why?!" in no tone but sheer astonishment mixed with a morsel of intimidation.
