Minecraft Ram Usage Info

Minecraft handles ram differently then other games. Too little can have issues, but same goes for too much. As Minecraft will literally try to use all the ram you give it and try to shove it all through 1 cpu core.

Instead of speeding up the game, it slows down the cpus processing by trying to process all the ram, used or unused.
To see the recommended range use !mc-ram

Could you explain your issues with Forge and why did you format your pc over Minecraft not loading up properly?
It can be an issue of mods or the launcher you’re using, or just a broken version of Forge even if unlikely. Formatting your pc would not solve anything.
