If you want to play on the latest version of Minecraft, create a Fabric Loader profile. Then install the Sodium, Iris, Mod Menu, and Fabric API mods.

You don't have to use the CurseForge App or any other third party launcher, although it does make it easier

You can download mods manually from the CurseForge and Modrinth websites

Minecraft modding is a pretty diverse and complex ecosystem. You've got different mod loaders and MC versions. The CurseForge website isn't so bad, but certainly could be improved in my opinion

When browsing mods on the website you can use the filters for your desired MC version and mod loader

You must do the same when downloading them.

• You can either click the big orange "Download" button and then use the dropdown filters
• Or you can go to the files/versions page and use the filters there

Once you get a shader mod (like Iris) you can then get a shaderpack. Complementary Unbound is one of my favourites. Those go in the shaderpacks folder. You can access the folder in-game though, and add and remove shaderpacks in-game.

Was wanting to make a mod pack for me and my friend with the Valkyrie sky’s mod + Eurika ships + create mod 6.0.8

So far I have them all working but I wanted to be able to power the ship with create mod blocks instead of coal and wasn’t sure if I could just power the burner with a pipe of lava using this mod that lets you fuel furnaces without having a mechanical arm grabbing a lava bucket but I was thinking that it wouldn’t work since the burner furnace is kinda its own block in Euirka sky’s haven’t been able to try it out yet

But I heard of this mod called create: Eurika that adds this rotating block that powers the ship all it needs is stress to power it all but the mod has been out of development it says in the page for it so I was thinking maybe I can just fix whatever the compatibility issue is or maybe I’m better off forgetting the whole thing to save myself from the effort

Can take some time after releases first drop from Mojang to show on CF. Specially same day. With that said can also take time for the modloaders and in turn mod devs to update. Can be anywhere from a few hours to weeks (mod/modloader) depending on changes made in the base game
