I see your point but I feel like Minecraft headed more towards a cash-grab in Bedrock edition after Microsoft acquired the game
Hytale just got bought back from Riot Games (that wanted to turn it into a cash grab-iirc, no source on this at my disposal) by Simon Hypixel and the original devs are working on it, so it should be good (hopefully) for now! At least until they sell it to a big company if they do.

- World saves are found in a folder called "save", if you're worried about a world getting destroyed/corrupted/etc... it may be a good idea to copy and paste it into a temporary folder.
- But otherwise, yes. Backing up your world like that will keep everything. Provided you replace the new folder with the one you copied earlier. (Remember, everything you do in a Singleplayer World is saved to a folder of that same name.)

I think more Minecraft servers need to employ a rule that goes something like:
"Your power is your own. If something you use causes catastrophic damage- intentional or not- you will be punished accordingly."
Mostly because it also helps with world-building and limiting what people interact with.
Sure, you could become god... but at what cost? Can you even handle it?
It also makes those who can handle giant demolisher spells with ease a lot more impressive. Not for their strength, but their level of control.

I guess? I just think having the rules work more in tandem with the world itself makes it more interesting. Instead of being a looming consequence, it's a dance with danger.

It's also why I think PvP should be enabled on more servers, but have distinct consequences for those who abuse it.
"Infamy" making everything more expensive by 50% per level. Including Crafting Recipes, Fuel, etc. (So a Crafting would need 8 planks at Infamy II)
"Voracity" making you hit slightly harder against non-player entities, but making unable to satiate yourself with food. (So you constantly starve.)
"Madness" making you hit slightly harder against player entities, but you no longer naturally regenerate and you get a boss bar above your head.
All of these persist on death and only go away after a period of redemption.
I dunno, I'm just on a creative spree. I could probably put this #1209894094055145542 now that I'm thinking about it more.

some mods litteraly require to be packed with another mod, so if the mod is restricted and wont work with the other mod, you can basicly just scrape off the idea of making your own modpack
