Some of these services affecting CF are:

If Minecraft detects the pack is made for an older/newer version, it’s gonna give the red warning when you go to enable it, sometimes parts of the pack work, but usually Minecraft changes where the textures/assets are located in the folder, breaking the pack

Mods are installed locally, so it's more about the query between the server, client, and Forge to automatically install required mods that are on the server and to check that premium mods aren't being used from other sources.

It's stupid to have no query between client and server and CF = the game won't start even though all mods are up to date. That's a disgrace to prevent the game from starting.
