Lan and Modded MC has never worked all that well, as Minecraft's LAN was really only built to support Vanilla. Modded introduces a lot more files that may need to be synced per player, this can be taxing on a lan connection, due to the host needing to work double time (or more depending on player count)

Easiest fix: make a local server and join it !mc-univ OR rent/find a server online to join.

Instances are saved as folders under users/your user/curseforge/minecraft/Instances. so unless you saved them on a separate SSD/Hard Drive/Another form of storage they're gone

Curseforge is not a cloud based system.
What you see in the application is data that is stored in your computer on the hard drives.
If you did not copy or physically move the data drives to your new computer, you won’t have access to the data you were familiar with

I don’t think I’ve played BR games since little over a year ago at this point. I just feel like they are almost all the same with some slight differences. It’s always micro-transactions that are in your face, you will have a hard time keeping up with eliminating players and surviving if you aren’t on the game way too much in one day just to barely keep that skill gap even and the videos about the ”best loadouts” or ”best weapons” will always be there.

A somewhat unrelated comment I wish someone shared with me while I was in school: don’t try to manipulate people into becoming friends or relationship partners. And don’t expect every friendship to turn out great. There will be an end to every friendship you have. Only luck and self deprecation can change when.
So just be happy that you had some, and make more if needed.
