it was done by cutting the plastic and cable off the header of the raspberry pi gpio cable, then bending and cutting so that the laptop negative wire could be connected from the broken side to the normal side and then soldered, I cut two heatshrink, placed it onto the cable through the right angle adapter, and then heated that up with heat gun.

there have been problems with the website today, curseforge HQ is dead of night right now. it will get resolved but for now just need to refresh browser and check every once and awhile.

A friend just told me that a mod can download a malicious mod that isnt on curseforge, and execute it when Minecraft starts, is that true?

the mods that are hosted on curseforge have been combed over by more malware scanning than any other place that hosts similar content on the internet.

there are some mods that download code from their own websites like essential - none that do that are known to be getting malicious code

that's true for any program you use, and any website you use. the only way to eliminate all of that is to not use your computer 😉

hundreds of thousands of people per day use Curseforge and the mods that are hosted on it. when people find potential issues (like you are worried about) then they take action on them. it's very rare.

Curseforge does not look at what essential downloads, but they (essential) are a known Company that Curseforge has talked with about what they're doing.

I don't think the scanners analyze the mod as it's running, so unless they just scan and scrape URLs found in the mod that is not the case

which covered my inventory unless i have it in expanded view

How to install modpacks with the search features in the CurseForge app

How to install modpacks with the search features

1. Open the Minecraft section of the app.
2. Click the top search bar where it says Search for modpacks OR Click the Browse Modpacks Tab.
3. Find the Modpack you want to install and click install on it.
4. Wait for the CurseForge app to download and unpack all the required files.
5. Once finished, click Play!

How to install modpacks from an Export (Custom/Private/Site downloaded Modpack zip)

1. Get the CurseForge app if you don't have it, use !getcf for a link.
2. Get the exported modpack from CurseForge or someone else, !mc-packshare explains how to make them.
3. Open the Minecraft section of the app.
4. Click the Import option.
5. Find the file you just downloaded in step 2 and select it.
6. CurseForge app will now attempt to download and unpack the modpack. If it fails, try steps 4-6 again.
7. Once finished, click Play!
