Few issues here. First why a older Ryzen series on an AM4 platform, AM5 is nearly the same cost... If you have a microcenter by you or anywhere they have a 7600x, b650, 16gb of ram upgrade to 32gb of corsair vengeance for $10. So $310 gets you everything and saves you money and gets you a newer better platform anyways.

The power supply is 550watts which leaves you dangerously close to where you would really want to be...

If you upgrade your card to something better than a 7600 which I would honestly look at a 6700XT or 6750XT or something along those lines as you can usually find them for the same price and they offer better performance than the 7600 would.

The nvme, why not just opt for a WD Blue or WD black drive, the WD blue nvme is only $109...

Alot with this system that really just doesn't make sense where you can put money in other places that would be better. Hope this helps ya a bit

This may seem like a dumb question but what do you mean by am4 and am5?

AM4 is the socket for the CPU that mates it to the motherboard. AM4 is old, thats what Ryzen 5xxxx uses so a 5800 or 5800x3d is an older AM4. AM5 is the newer Ryzen 7xxx series so Ryzen 7600x, etc

AM5 utilizes DDR5 as well, and a future upgrade path. AM4 is dead, so there is little reason. Do you have a Microcenter near you?

Well that may be your best option. You can see from the lists i've compiled that realistically you will spend double the amount. The hardest part here is the savings u get from the motherboard/cpu/ram at the store then the fact they have the older Radeon GPU's nets you BETTER performance for the same money

If they definitely aren't up for it, then i'd opt for an AM4 platform, stick with a Ryzen 5xxx series and you can probably ballpark yourself in around 800? Leaving you room for a monitor and keyboard and whatever else a headset if you need it

AM4.... Depends what your playing or doing. Some older titles that aren't using multi-cores like today would benefit greatly from the improved single core performance of the new Ryzen 7000 series. I play Mechwarrior Online which is a bit older using CryEngine 3 so it uses only 2 CPU cores, and the performance was nearly doubled by switching from my Ryzen 5600x to a 7700x

My kids play games on a 1700X Ryzen and a GTX1070. Minecraft runs a charm on the thing and it's a much older Ryzen system, 1st generation

COD I think you would benefit from upping to a 7700XT card to get the frames especially if you will run at say 1440p

i've added some mods. I actually want to check out Stratum and Continuum since those are supposedly to make it uber pretty. But apparently u have to pay and thats not the issue for me, the issue is I don't understand how the hell it works. Easy to youtube fabric or forge loader and drag files into a folder. Those I have no idea what i'm buying before I buy it. I've got my kids PC turn to max everything with iris and continuity and a bunch of other stuff on there and it chugs along over 60FPS at 1440P pretty much all the time

Minecraft does love a chonky CPU tho so again AM5 would be better but with AM4 you could probably net yourself I dunno 200 in savings maybe by cheaping out a bit on the mobo and cpu would be like 120 bucks prolly vs the 200

anyone who plays the Mustard Virus by Forge Labs, i have a question about the "Bloodmoon" mod. In my 3-day save (in game days) the blood moon showed up all 3 nights. I dont know. First 2 nights i had it on default (0.17%) then i set it to 0.09%. It still showed up. I dont know what are the odds but i think they are EXTREMLY small

It's not bad. A few things to consider. A cheaper storage drive like the Corsair MP600 or a WD Blue contains no DRAM on the chip meaning write/read speeds on larger files will suffer greatly. This is a reason I opted for a WD Black drive, it's not a killer in terms of performance and the SSD you selected is half the price so I mean it's hard to argue, it's a decent option, no better or worse than say a budget WD Blue drive, but just keep that in mind for knowledge of why some SSD are cheaper. No DRAM on some with no buffer can be bad.

The video card is really just killing it. The 7600 is just so poor, i'd really go with at least a 7700XT because your less than like 100 bucks from it and it would offer a good bump or if you can find any good RX 6xxxx series. NVidia is generally so much more expensive now and not worth it in alot of instances for the money if your on a budget.

Other than that I really can't see anything wrong with it. The gigabyte board you would replace with an MSI B650 Gaming WIFI board and save prolly another $30, i'd rate MSI as a bit better of a brand than gigabyte, the only company I would kinda avoid these days is Asus, they are the pits. The way you have it spec'd out is fine though, it just sucks how much more it costs you.

And i'm off today waiting for my kids to come over so i've been just doodling looking around and just shocked at prices. I am floored.

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

1. Check if the modpack has a server pack, if it does: use that and skip below.
2. Go to the Forge website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the Installer for the forge version the pack is using.
3. Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
4. Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
5. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
6. Run the server again.
7. Port forward your machine if needed. (Google it)

You could also use this community made tool for installing packs! Instructions are provided on the site.

Universalator server tool

• The Universalator is a file (BAT script) which can be used to install and launch modded Minecraft server files on PCs (and VMs).

  • All Minecraft (Java) versions are supported.
