How to add/remove mods in a modpack:

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click the Add More Content button, IF this button is not there, see below before you continue.
3. Find the Mods, Resource Packs or Maps you wish to Install and click Install on them.
4. Wait for all the required mods to be downloaded.
5. Start the modpack.

How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks:

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click on the button next to the Play button.
3. Click on Profile Options.
4. Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

NOTE: The Allow content management for this profile option is what allows you to Delete, Disable, Update or Install any Mods, Resource Packs or Maps managed by CurseForge. It must be ON to modify any of them! (Currently)

Why not just use the CurseForge app to install the modloader? Insteaqsd of manually modding? OR use another mod manager. Like Prism

Error/Exit codes are useless. Follow these steps so someone can actually help you.

1. Right-click the modpack profile icon OR click the button in the modpack profile.
2. Click Open Folder.
3. Open the logs folder.
4. Drag and drop the FILE named latest OR debug into Discord.

LAN and Modded MC

Lan and Modded MC has never worked all that well, as Minecraft's LAN was really only built to support Vanilla. Modded introduces a lot more files that may need to be synced per player, this can be taxing on a lan connection, due to the host needing to work double time (or more depending on player count)

Easiest fix: make a local server and join it !mc-installserver OR rent/find a server online to join.

Alright so I'm making an announcement, you CAN allocate more than 8 gb of ram to Minecraft, it will not fry your CPU, but there are things called GC sweeps that can make CPU actions a bit slower supposedly, but it's highly unlikely to affect the health of the CPU

SO if you continueusly allow java to abuse the single cpu core, yes you can do damage. Specially depending on the type of CPU you have. or what class it falls under. As not all CPUs meet the exact same quality requirements.

You may not kill a CPU right away, but like any pc component if you push it too its limits and abuse it in ways it wasnt really ment for, yes it can kill the whole proccessor.

Only mc java edition and any other games written in Java tend to have this issue. As the other coding languages tend to have better multi-core or multithreading capabilities

You're talking very broadly about this. The more ram you allocate doesn't necessarily mean that there will be more data pushed through. It just means it's a possibility. Furthermore, the ram that's used for Java isn't the same ram used for minecraft, if you start a java process then it allocates some of that ram directly to handling Java's backend, and the rest is the minecraft process. Meaning if you allocate more ram, there's also a chance that it's not being used in just one core, as Java process and Java backend could be in two different cores

It will process all you give it and shove it through the core. Thats why the more ram you give mc the gc shits it self without proper jvms

That isn't fully true, I finally realize why Minecraft's ram display "isn't accurate", because it's allocating a percentage to the Java backend and using the rest for minecraft
