forge is a mod loader. And curseforge is the app. You have no interest in updating the app, don't affect your gameplay.

Current issue is glitch downloading if automatically getting latest release. Downloading Fabric mods one forge modloader. Also randomly failing to get dependencies. 😓

Yeah the CF App does detect Stardew from Steam.

But it doesn't install SMAPI and it doesn't have instances or modpacks. You can just install mods from CurseForge. And I couldn't get the CF App to detect the mods I already had in my folder. You can't disable mods . I suggest using Moddrop or Vortex.

I'm trying to get CF to undo marking a post about Stardew modpacks on CF Ideas as "already done" but I can't even get as much as an acknowledgement from a volunteer, sadly. That tells you that not many seem to try to mod Stardew with CurseForge.

A related suggestion to install SMAPI was marked as not planned so that tells you that they don't prioritise Stardew which is okay.

CurseForge seems more focused on WoW, MC, KSP and Sims4

Found myself looking for MrCrayfish's Minecraft mods that support a specific modloader. I wanted to see how he uses the Catalogue API in his Fabric mods.

I'm surprised you can't already filter a user's projects by game, modloader, and project type. And that you can't sort it by alphabetical or by download count.

Download counts don't always update properly on the site. They are still counted though, it will update eventually.

I think Minecraft is the only game that has multiple modloaders - at least the only one that CurseForge supports. So to make the UI simpler and more versatile, filtering by Minecraft projects and by mods could then show a modloader filter dropdown
