In Windows settings, you have an option to extend the image (that's what you have), and an option to separate them. It's the same thing, except for your mouse

Addons are for bedrock which is written in C++
Addons are not even close to mods. Mods modify the game. Addons just add onto the game.

Optifine wont show up in the cf app, least not properly. As its not a mod from the CF site.
There are better mods then optifine tho, OF has more incompatibilities then compatibilities after 1.16.5+. Its even worse for fabric

Switching versions has its risks. Downgrading versions doesnt always work too well due to the code changes between versions.

I wasn’t sure if it was supposed to work or not. I did set up curseforge with a view of running different versions according to what I was playing but I can’t run any of my texture packs through curse forge which is a bit of a problem so I was trying to work around it

Texture packs should work? Once the mc launcher opens its just like normal mc, everything in the profiles folder is loaded (or attemtped to load). CF just helps users manage the modding process easier

Not texture packs sorry, resource packs.. is that the same thing I don’t know? Unfortunately none of my resource packs work.. it allows me to add them onto the profile but they won’t work in game because they are ‘incompatible’. I have posted in the support chat in here and although the mod was very helpful they couldn’t figure it out either 🤷♀️
