A binary search is a way of finding a faulty mod/plugin/addon when you have a lot of them, but without having to remove them one-by-one.

The procedure is simple:

1. Take half of the existing mods/plugins/addons, and move them out, into another folder.
2. Run the game.
3. Does the issue still persist?
   • If YES: Repeat from step 1 with the current things.
   • If NO: Swap out the current things with the ones you moved out, and repeat from step 1.
4. Repeat this process until the problematic mod(s)/plugin(s)/addon(s) have been found.

Download downloads the fill normally, to your downloads folder.

Install will try to install the file right to the cf app.

This is correct, the cf app uses a copy of the official launcher. So that it doesnt break the vanilla launcher. As cf uses a different folder structure then the .minecraft folder

Keeps all the profiles in their own seperate folders, stops accidental mixing of the versions and such

Could be the mod if you added it. modding the .minecraft folder has become more complicated since the newer versions of mc came out.

Just need to log into the microsoft account that owns the java edition of minecraft. If your using the xbox game pass, I assume you need to log into the microsoft account that is connected to that.
