Two ways to share a modpack you made with others

Export and Share - For Friends / Small Groups

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.

3. Click Export.
4. Select the files that should be included.
5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack.

Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)

2. Click the top search bar where it says Search for modpacks OR Click the Browse Modpacks Tab.
3. Find the Modpack you want to install and click install on it.
4. Wait for the CurseForge app to download and unpack all the required files.

Can you lot help me think up a name for a modpack, I've been trying to come up with one but I just can't think up a name I genuinely like

It's a pack with a lot of mods, but all the mods are vanilla styled ones I've picked because I believe they could fit into the game, about 10-15 of them are structure/terrain generation

Mods like:

Guard Villagers, Sky Village's, Durt's Nether Dungeons, Effective, Appleskin, Better Combat, Inventory Hud+, Additional Additions, Roamers, etc

A lot more but just some examples

I know CF doesn't like "Vanilla" used in Modpack names so I've been brainstorming but can't think of a name that fits

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Open Task Manager while Minecraft is running (Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager)
2. Find minecraft in that list. It will be called something like "Java" or "OpenJDK Binary". (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the "Memory" tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
3. Right click it and Open File Location
4. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
5. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
6. Under Graphics performance preference select Desktop App
7. Click Browse
8. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
9. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
10. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
11. Click the Options button on the newly added option
12. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

ok, well some reason for me seeing from your mods folder it's not reading java files at all so it looks like a bad install to me where something is reading something over java, and I do not know anything to fix that

it's only the icon difference between adoptium java and oracle java. this has nothing to do with their problem

the problem is either of 2 things:
1- a bad mod
2- the java that is being used (in the curseforge files - NOT installed to system folders) is not being used by the graphics card

Its not that they dont support it, most do now as we are running out of ipv4 addresses (public), When ipv4 was created those who created never thought that they would ever need more then 2^32 (4,294,967,296) unique addresses.

Ipv6 was invented to create more addresses, but like gaming not all new ways are automatically adopted. For the world to fully change over to ipv6 it would take a while. Going from the current 32bit addresses to 128bit.

As for why isps are supporting it, most are, just takes time to update all those numbers, building arp tables, and teaching routers about the new bits.

Would break the world if isps shut down for a bit to change over as well. Im not kidding either.

When an OS company drops support for an OS version it just just loose out on normal updates. They also loose out on major security updates. Having an antivirus software installed isnt enough to protect you against those. ex: os vulnerabilities, zero-day exploits, trojans, malware, etc.

Companies that stop support for "dropped" os arent just protecting themselves, but also their users. As accessing the internet with a os that is no longer getting the updates to block all the nasty things floating around, something could tag onto your "safe" download. Follow the packet in so to speak.

Lan and Modded MC has never worked all that well, as Minecraft's LAN was really only built to support Vanilla. Modded introduces a lot more files that may need to be synced per player, this can be taxing on a lan connection, due to the host needing to work double time (or more depending on player count)

Easiest fix: make a local server and join it !mc-installserver OR rent/find a server online to join.

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

1. Check if the modpack has a server pack, if it does: use that and skip below.
2. Go to the Forge website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the Installer for the forge version the pack is using.
3. Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
4. Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
5. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
6. Run the server again.
7. Port forward your machine if needed. (Google it)
