It should recognize any addons in there that are on CF's platform. I think someone else was having a similar issue recently. While I don't know for a fact the exact workings, I think it checks on startup, yes. Mind you, AFAIK updates are done in "phases" - as in, not everyone will have updates available at the exact same time. I don't know precisely how that's handled - assuming I'm correct about it - but I'd hazard an, albeit uneducated, guess that it may be done by geographic location/region?

If I remeber correctly, you need to place the 1 or 2 blocks you need so in your case regular oak planks, in the machine the recipes are made from, then select the pattern needed for the build

Np, a few of the recipes in minecolonies show the universal recipe in jei. It just cycles threw all the blocks that can be used.

Minecraft and Stardew. When I select either one, the screen that shows there is no mods comes up. It's like I just installed Curseforge and added the games.

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

1. Check if the modpack has a server pack, if it does: use that and skip below.
2. Go to the Forge website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the Installer for the forge version the pack is using.
3. Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
4. Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
5. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
6. Run the server again.
7. Port forward your machine if needed. (Google it)

You could also use this community made tool for installing packs! Instructions are provided on the site.
