similar to what violet said, its not a terrible house. You can make it considerably more visually appealing by adding 'depth' to your wallsby inlaying or protruding sections

My personal way of going about it is to imagine that every wall is 3blocks wide on the outside of a house. 2-3 blocks wide inside of a house.
So I make all my walls in a space of up to 3 'thick' to enforce a theme of realistic structure.

It may also be beneficial to assign a 'weight' to certain block types in your mind and not use 'heavy blocks' above 'lightweight' blocks without a visible structure to support it
