#Ability to discard certain resources from main processed storage

Yes. It would also be handy to be able to cap capacity for individual ores below their physical cap and decide what MPU should do with individual resources when hitting capacity.

I was dealing with it a bit different. I vomited out the iron ore. Since iron takes about the longest to process, you can spit out most of the ofending ore after the rest is processed.

Yeah, but it would be nice if you could tell MPU

If hitting capacity for specific ore:
a) leave unprocessed (but possibly baked dry of dv_h2o ) nugget in hold
b) discard as dust
And also to tell processed storage to
set the cap for specific ore to x%

For example you could set it to small buffer and discard so you could still eat dv_fedv_vdv_ptto replenish drones/kinetics, but not weigh yourself down, and stop processing for dv_wdv_be to not shit out money if you overeat.

Why?

Hey, k225 at least has a lot of space in its hold (though it's mostly long and thin).
Try k37.

Yeah, but that is really for when you no longer have enough processed storage. Filling k225 to brim with one valuable ore while still processing another is not all that common.

rusatom would be the only mpu that wouldn't be able to it
it's essentially a giant heater, you can't stop it from processing certain ore without turning it off completely
unless it has a really high melting point i guess, then you can lower the temperature
all other MPUs can just turn off when they detect undesired ore inside

#

actually, melting points would be a nice mechanic for the rusatom
you could set it to really low power so that it just boils off the water
assuming resource nuggets are lumps of metal surrounded by ice and not metal dust mixed with ice
