So the thing with the Controller archetype is that, well, it does what it says on the tin
It is all frames designed to control the battlefield in one way or another
Hydra specifically is a controller via its drone systems and the ease of which it can move and change their positions, and how the OpFour [GM] has to consider how to play around them
Hydra throws and moves drones about along with the skills they have, and utilizes the Anihil Nexus to basically ping anyone in range of said drones for fun
Dronecentric frames kinda rely on their drones to zone and quarter off the battle map
if you'd like a polite suggestion, I would say look at talents over the frame itself to bolster
