AI subroutines are an account flag, but you have to find and bring in DNA access cards (which are in the vault loot pool and not guaranteed on every vault)

- get vault keys from Wardens or purple key rooms sometimes
- enter the vault in cryo that matches your key (requires different things in addition to the key that vary depending on which vault)
- each vault has a "AI subroutine" which will be shared between the crew upon exfil then becomes a codex entry. One of them can have a "DNA Access Card" which behaves similarly to the above, but you have to bring it each time
- that enables the Compiler Approach
(all this shit is why it's considered a Destiny Raid extraction shooter equivalent)

best thing to do rn is to focus on vault clears. IMO get used to running vaults 1 and 2 for practice, and trying to avoid fights as much as possible (my advice is to take one recon and if you don't think you can win for any reason to run.)
as long as you three hit security lvl 3, and continously run, and don't accidentally walk into another team, you theoretically should be able to check vaults at 5 minutes left to see if they're open.
If they're open, check inside for AI subroutine then extract
once a team has all 6 subroutines they have no reason to pick them up so subroutines are actually left behind a fair bit
IMO vault 6 you'll prob have to run with a 6 key
cause given that's the only contraband rarity, unless people came across it enough times and always extracted with it, it's very unlikely they have multiples, plus the fact they might sell or not pick up the key once they have subrountine 6 done
consistently speaking, every time I filled into a trio on outpost and the conversation of vaults/keys came up, vault 6 was the one key people said they were looking for
my guess is most of the people who are clearing vaults as a duo/trio stack probably played the game more typically and got the more expected vault 6 drop rate compared to someone like me who was for all intents and purposes, a solo player who dedicated farmed wardens when they appeared

Basically Marathon was released as a "soft" release with very specifically designed core features, and the expectation from them is to evolve the game over time to give options and expand it into a more full of life world
So we'll see stuff like pve modes and what not with pvp being the main focus
How d2 was grown except instead of pve being the focus, it's pvp
Or rather, pvp in the sense of the extraction shooter core
To me personally, this makes the most sense and would actually make sony happier if they manage to pull in more players as there's already a fair number of current non buyers going, "the mention of pve mode is making me considering buying it"

it happens unfortunately, I've not reported someone for cheating yet myself cause it hasn't been blatant with the most sus time being on ranked on dire marsh, someone hiding and in a corner and the team running up on them but I was like "I mean...they could have just beeeeen super coincidentally gotten lucky" which is one of the matches I suspect I got cheater compensation for.
The only other time was a possible 6 man coordinated on cryo with no prox but we nope'd the fuck outta that once we were close, heard no fighting, saw how close they were, and saw 0 prox being well within the prox pop-up range

but I suspect bungie didn't want to be tooooo descriptive about that in s1 given they're trying to be more hushy hushy on how their matchmaking works (which IMO might be a good thing))
cause rn everyone assumes you need full map of teams, but bungie might silently be doing some very specific tests where once in a blue moon, they'll load a match with 1-2 teams

but I suspect they want to keep that like it is rn, cause otherwise it's easy to game early sherpa runs, like if every vault had a dna access card, I could probably be running like endless sherpa compiler runs and you would see so many teams contesting over compiler due to sheraping instead of naturally it being a time-effort required thing to do

Tried out Triage on solo last night and I was kind of surprised at how good it was.

Last week of s1 + last week of ranked + mmr has always been a little hit or miss
And I'm ranked gold so due to standard mmr imbalances, it make things even a bit more goofy
Rn ranked cryo I feel is best if you're disabling crew fill and just learning solo (of course you can still get jumped by a full trio)

Yeah I've been seeing posts saying ranked solo is comparatively a chill time if you're being sneaky. Which I'd probably do as well just to look around more

Honestly just run with a chill trio and don’t take optional fights, the way to learn cryo is by doing and paying the gear tolls

It's def luck based, if you get pinched between two teams you'd have to hope you can hide somewhere.
Other times the teams will run into control and let you basically exist outside of it
