How many teams are trying to 3rd party and can you confirm a teamwipe before you get 3rd partied

Cause if not then if 1 person is alive on that team might shoot you in the back and cause you to wipe when you try to deal with the 3rd party

IMO I actually feel like the game needs free weekends or free weeks

because while I couldn't recommend the game without having huge caveats of "but if you're trying to play solo you are going to feel frustrations", that gives people an actual chance to try it out and see how it is

Rook on the other hand, IMO, is a great foundation for solos

I will say on the other hand I actually would tell anyone that if they want to join Marathon now it wouldn't be a bad time to do it cause we're late wipe and wipe reset is happening next month

I am curious if Marathon is going to have an improved onboarding experience for S2 or they're gonna leave it as is

I do think giving weekly cryo free kit is a gr8 onboarding addition for introduction to endgame content

I'm not toooo worried about implants or weapon mods not being clear because they're def making efforts to work on it

and we've already seen some solid improvements like the reinforced green shield vs standard reinforced shield

part of the issue with how they handled gear balancing is ultimately widening the gap for gear disparity, and that's always going to be a hard problem

just like matchmaking in an extraction shooter will always be a hard problem

like you can definitely do SBMM sure but you gotta define what counts as a win, and to be clear, if you load into a map and get into any engagement at all, you're not just risking a win/loss, you're risking gear, so even if you go for SBMM should mean every fight you get in a raid should be a 50/50, or as close as possible, you still have to look at gear

when really, if you think about what a raid is

say like outpost, that's 4 different teams, assuming you fight 3 times in a row, should you really expect to have a 50/50 split in every fight?

it's where you would need to look at more battle royale metrics because that's how fighting every other team is, assuming you're even doing that (which Idk if you should cause again it's an extraction shooter)

regardless tho I think the balance changes are more healthy cause wstr, even though by nerfing it, you're making it so purple shields are harder to kill, everybody was bringing wstr into outpost and cryo
