• rush to getting the "Shielded" upgrade from NuCaloric, shields are the absolute bare minimum for not dying
• focus on your priority contracts over everything else, namely the introducing quests from CyAc as your progression is tied to the factions
• Priority wise for each faction you should focus on;
  NuCal
  Traxus
  SekGen
  MIDA
  Arachne/CyAc

in that order, Arachne and CyAc level themselves passively very well so you wont need to focus on them

• and lastly, feel free to die with good gear, this game is more of a roguelite than anything else, gear is VERY temporary and if you get into the habit of hoarding you will run out of space

@neat nest Scorch warden def drops better loot, being a blue shield and his demo HMG

killed 2 people when just doing my quest

saw scorch warden was up, had a bully and the overrun and was like "hmm I can probably kill him with enough bullets" found a munitions crate, found a medical box outside a tox room, had like 2 patch and 2 shields

then on my way to scorch warden

with the absolute just, most well thought through decision she could have made, with the hardline PR of ALL guns

so I turned around and shot her with the volley

she had 2 sets of advanced patch kits, 2 sets of advanced shield charges, 2 stacks of normal patchs and shields, and had all of this heavy ammo for my bully, ONTOP of a blue bag

like Idk maybe she was an rmt'er or something

because that is some bonkers level of fumble

oh and then the 4th person I killed an assassin who tried to smoke so he could extract ontop of my exfil

and I killed him

I didn't have to, I didn't even get to loot his body

I also should state I got the volley from a weapons locker, but I upgraded it to blue with the hardline pr mods the theif had

I would probably only choose recon over assassin for my general choices tho, unless I'm specifically trying to rat in solos and in which case I choose assassin

Even triage is kinda nutty cause med drone can heal while you run for cover

tbf assassin punishes every mistake you make and makes it hard to engage on equal grounds

so movement isnt necessary when you're playing like that
