Upgrade your mods, use catalysts and forma on guns you enjoy for more mod capacity
Serration, Hornet Strike and Pressure Point are inportant since they increase base damage, which all the elemental damage mods scale off
The 60/60 mods which give +60% damage and +60% status chance are handy too
Since they only cost 7 capacity
You might already have the toxic one since corrupted vor drops it, and the others are a spy vault reward
Multishot mods are great too, since you're shooting more bullet per bullet
If you have it unlocked you might want to try the belly of the beast operation too
There's mods from there which are cheap to upgrade and give a large base damage increase at the cost of being unable to modify fire rate

you can join someone else's crew and be a gunner or whatever
while collecting mods and intrinsics point for your railjack far faster than it'd be to use your own unbuilt one

FYI, if you have to do disruption for axi relics:
- Kappa has axi relics in C only, and 70% of rolls are relics, 12 rounds means 10 C rolls and thus 7 axi relics
- Apollo has axi relics in B and C, and 90% of C rolls are axi, so 12 rounds nets a combined 11 relics
- Armata is similar to Kappa, 6/7 axii in C only. It's as good per-roll as Kappa if the relic(s) you want isn't the missing one
However, there might still be reasons to do Kappa:
- If you don't have access to Apollo. ||It's on Lua||
- If you prefer fighting grineer or navigating the grineer galleon tileset
- If you want gauss parts (the other 30% of Kappa's C rolls)
(And similar logic to points 2 and 3 apply to Armata, if you've done the appropriate quests)

I think they kinda shot themselves in the foot with railjack and giving it as many sources of scaling as the base game
it's great and all, just
the problem of the game being either demon core on legs simulator or weather erosion simulator (the enemies are the rock) can get so much worse with ship combat
atm it's firmly demon core territory, I don't think it's possible to lose with my half-built railjack so long as I'm actively piloting
but if they want to add more content and match the power level of fully built railjacks it'll have to be like pulling teeth if you miss anything

And non-SP stuff can assume the railjack's not kitted to the gills
