cmon now
not remotely to the value of gun lifesteal
Vamp Burst is so so so good for Vyper
I can't do anything reliably in this game I'm dogshit
(your ass is not doing meaningful damage with 1 lategame lmfao)
funnily enough she does absolutely build boundless spirit
because holy fuck, her 2
boneless spirit
đ ąď¸oundless
I mean the other funny reason to buy đ ąď¸irit is because it makes her faster
i just don't find that much value in thinking about 100k builds where you have eighty tier 4s
god, spiritual overflow is ALMOST so appealing on vyper
but it wastes so much of its power budget on spirit lifesteal
yooooo my 1 cd is outta control
i can do 2 damage on a 3.5s cd instead of a 4s cd
poggers
...you have 40 more spirit power on your 2
with Geist you proc Overflow and now you are a God
you called?
which means they die
people have had the same theory about infernus and other characters who can actually use the cd
it just never sticks for whatever reason
but it looks so good on paper
I wanna try playing Geist and Graves, they seem fun
spiritual overflow doesnt have cd what do you mean
and I like hybrid builds
it has duration
which is good on vyper
or at least used to be
rest in peace AP rounds durationmax vyper
I think my only issue with Graves is I forget I can't do long range chip and just fucking waste ammo doing nothing
wait
let me get the guide on how to play Graves
Don't step to me, Canada.

Graves is genuinely the easiest piece of shit to ever play once you get some good stamina items and learn to move around a bit
it used to have cdr as its passive and then that got removed sadge
this doesn't look like a tutorial
infernus can also really use the duration for obvious reasons though and it's still not all that on him
spiritual overflow is like the third 6k on wraith
see popping overflow on geist is achievable and benefits literally every ability she has
because she's a demon
Overflow is also crazy value on graves
đ
just... hold m1... when enemies are close...
+40 spirit on the glork glork
Deadass
i bet its like
that gluk gluk 3000 fucking kills people
ok on celeste maybe
You can build anything on graves
how do I do jars
Celeste builds gunslinger
throw them sometimes
Throw into enemy
cuz I see people talking about people doing shit deadheads but it's also like
ideally at enemies
M1 them a ljttle
celeste is probably fine since it's 3 shots
I don't see how that could happen
okay so let me like, try to elaborate on deadheads a little
pretty doable
don't throw them into dead space
ohhhh okay so just launch them at people
Also you want to be M1ing them already a little
if you need to unload deadheads because you're full up throw them at your feet or throw them at enemies but never throw them into nowhereland
Or have a teammate on them for best effect
gotcha
Even better if it's a drifter, m&k, doorman, or any annoying in your face piece of shit
is this so they get distracted and the deadheads go to town on them
I wish it was April fools again so i can go all m&k
yes
Yes
noted
you don't want to throw heads and then do nothing that's feeding your enemies free souls
Graves has 2 things to her:
- using pressure and creating momentum
- See number 1
Her entire kit is braindead but works best the more you can overwhelm enemies
the real thing about Graves is that at all times and in all situations, you should be pushing towards an objective
you buy refresher and ult twice and make everyone cry
the only time you stop pushing is because your team is doing Some Shit and they need you there dealing damage to something
6 billion undead
that doesn't mean pushing up lanes that'll get you killed though, if your lane is too pushed up drop your ult on it and then go start pushing another lane
okay is there anything that specifically buffs summons or do I just get a lot of spirits for that
you'll put so much pressure on the map that the enemy will basically passively start losing
I once saw a doorman with refresher, it was even, i escaped in time only to be put back in
Shes really really good at making teamfights unwinnable, really good at pushing objectives, and just make people cry because you have a hard immobilize, 12 enemies on your face, 4 zombie nukes, and you stole all of Haze's gun damage
okay so like... basically adding more minion waves, kind of?
Heroic Aura
juniper do you know the chores theory of lanes
Perk of graves is you only need to build spirit resil cuz you have built in gun resil (steal theor damage)
people will not do them because laning is a chore?
no
well, maybe, but that's not the theory
the theory basically runs that when you clear waves past the ones threatening your lane objective, you're creating a problem for your opponents that they have to deal with eventually
if you kill a wave past the midpoint of the lane, that's a wave they have to clear or cede obj damage to now
if you kill two waves, that's two waves they have to clear
this theory is really really good to internalize btw
what should you be doing when you're behind? farming
why? it makes you stronger and also lets you contribute to your team, even while behind
and you can't go play until you're finished your chores
bc it pushes up waves and forces the enemies to respond to them
However, if you have a base lurker you create a hungry hungry hippo and give them free food
"go play" means do anything else - get sinners, gank, set up for urn, do midboss if you're a gweedy gweedy goblin and they're like 5 waves behind on mid
this is not true
if you send waves to objective only to get them eaten by someone camping under that, you're not giving them more money than they'd get anyways, and they're ceding map control by doing so
so you're still benefiting by shoving the lane up to objective
Fair enough
a lane that's +3 waves is also a lane you can zip all the way up to obj on
while your enemy cannot do the same
that means you can drop in and start pushing obj whenever you want
By like, minute 20 a wave at the walker is asking for a seven or wraith or even billy to devour it the moment 5 enemies are confirmed out of lane
basically, Graves passively existing makes it really easy for your team to rat enemy walkers because just by being a warm body in the match, Graves can ram lanes down to objective and force the enemy to give up map control and play defensively
and if they actively fight that all the time, they're constantly busy with that and your team has breathing room to do fucking whatever they want
So kind of like early clash royale spawners in midladder
Where you passively put pressure in exchange for not as much investment
steal sinners, steal jungle, kill people randomly, clear every box on the map for fun, strangle Rem because your team has time to catch him in your doubles
etc.
Her skill floor is mostly learning to skull right and your distances
Graves is secretly besties with assassins like Drifter and Haze because putting so much pressure on the map all the time creates a lot of room for the back alley murder squad to jump people and kill them
Tfw when you find the rem in the sinners and just do this to em:
Ohhhh, because they can easily get further back in the map?
Which can be learned in 2 games
Sort of, but also because the more shoved in the map is the more pressure youâre putting on the enemy team to split up and push multiple lanes simultaneously to try and get their footing back
And when they do, thatâs open season for hungry vampires
I'm honestly fairly solid on this after like. 1.5 games of street brawl so I think I'll try Graves
Ohhhhhhh yeah that would also make sense
Also again
This has been very enlightening
If youâre a greedy goblin
Sometimes you can just fucking rob the enemy team of a major neutral objective wholesale because their map control sucks
Is ricochet good on Graves
I think gun graves usually prefers Split Shot?
I've taken it in SB and it seems fun but I also don't know that it's been effective
...oh, yeah, double beams on the auto aim?
Itâs like 5
ohhh wait yeah 5
5 finger grip of death
Iâve seen the double down
Where Graves wields a quintuple ricocheting ray of doom
But no one ever needs that much
đ¨
Like thereâs literally never enough targets for it to be sensible
PvE roguelite mode in the future will make this common use, trust
Spirit graves is NOT the right play imo
Itâs better than it was
I think shes best if you go gun green spirit
Echo Shard jar is pretty menacing
My intent is hybrid graves
You do want to have spirit, dont get me wrong
But her early spike is still gun, and you really want stuff like overflow and such
It gets 100x better when you feel the "flow"
I can't explain it theres a point in where you just know that someone is heavy meleeing you and you parry on instinct, when to counterspell the bombbop right, when to cart your friend away, and so on
it's when you dash parry a heavy melee against a trooper and beat the fucking shit out of Paige for having the trifling nerve to take a swing in your presence
There's just a point where the 200 hours of failing stands up, puts a hand on your shoulder, and goes "hey. He made a misplay. Have your dinner."
REAL
I dunno how but I felt bebop trying to ult this game and ulted him the millisecond he pressed 4
I was like, "he's jumping. Right there. Im going to gank you."
Sometimes Bebop players tap in to the community braincell and are incredibly easy to read
Bebop players are not incentivized to try radically different tactics than any other Bebop
Anyone up to stack in a bit
dont fear the bebop who goes bomb as the first skill in lane, fear the bebop that knows uppercut is a powerful poke
The uppercut splash is huge
opening hook on bebop because, as important as bomb scaling is, there are just no substitutes for A Hook in a moba
A hook is powerful but it also needs followup
any1 up to stack
had a bit of a bad game up against mirage, holi, visc, vic
who are all annoying to lane against
fair
I want to try someone new
but I am a Billy Player
I just wanna ult, smack people, gain bonus health and smack people
and then NOT smack people and just magdump into their forehead while they parry
his kit is just the fucking best, and his aesthetics are The Goat
Y'all are making me consider playing Vyper again
Though I am Not Good at the funny snake
I would main vyper if I could slide tech properly
she's worth for voicelines alone
Truuue
I wonder why we lost
watching a teammate legitimately run it down mid and get killed by walker repeatedly is uniquely demoralizing
Abrams then
Abrams is deadass just "press 1. Press 2. Run into wall. Press melee. Press shoot. Maybe Press melee more."
doorman feels... sad
The good news is the game thinks I can do well in Ritualist 5 matches, and is putting me in them (I went from Emissary to ritualist/alch for a while, finally up to rit 2)
The bad news is the 3-3-3 rule is kind of a pain;
2/10 Celeste, 2/11 Abrams
Why i'm getting ritualist 5 matches at ritualist 2 as a lesser played char though...
i wanna cosplay a deadlock hero...
it'd be fun to cosplay billy, only issue is to get a billy-like goat head is not cheap at all
pocket is too hot (its midsummer) (also they're hot)
venator would be so fucking cool tho
(still too hot, summer-wise)
consider ivy or vyper
problem with vyper: yes
the problem i have with deadlock (cosplaying) is 99% either "too much clothes" or "too little" (and thus hard to do)
i mean u could just do like a green bodysuit
tho at least w/ vyper, u kinda just need the head tbh
You could do an interpretation of human-head billy, or do goat face paint
true but also california summer is 100 degrees
green tanktop
fair
actually works
billy is actually doable imo, his jacket + bright yellow shirt stand out a lot
replacing all the pins with limbus pins :)
yeag billys p easy
You could also do a mask instead of a full head thing
no bat
celeste is another thought
also works
im not going to cosplay celeste for a many number of reasons
silver is actually really easy to sillouette clothing-wise
jacket (fur edges), tanktop, jeans
and the silly giant dogtag
also the belt and handcuffs
i think infernus is also hella doable, it's a red shirt, vest, pants
also old infern art is so good but so, so different
tallass rem would be hilarious
also, Mcgin is literally rosie the riveter design-wise, right?
Definitely inspired by
ngl with dynamo i feel he has a certain "tempo" he needs to play off
if you can get that tempo off, you win
and a lot of it is in your quantum spike cuz if you play right off it w/ trans cd
cuz w/ my build which is 2 greens and the rest spirit in late game, you can just gank the hell out of anyone who cant outmove your quantum
and with a 10 second CD, you basically just stomp them, push them back and repeat
if you're getting urn, pop 3 halfway through and run in
the cosplay convo was still in the mind when i saw this & i was like 'what tempo do u need to cosplay dynamo'
healing tempo obviously /j
also dynamo is funny in that no matter what, i will always spike so fucking hard in late late game that its ridiculous
like, 50k souls type of late, where i can just like... deal infinite damage and never get hit and heal off the 300 damage i might take
im worried about ranking up and meeting people with good movement
hollis scare the shit out of me because all of them do 1 combo with their movement and its hard af to track
Listening to music which is too slow and being laughed out of the Deadlock Con
Surely we're nearing the end of the Urn Experiment
And game can return to feeling like a game and not teamfight generator
Whats the best part of Deadlock
Tough question, many answers, opinions
The aesthetic got me in the door but like.. the movement.. the gamefeel, the mix of shoots, it all blends together so well >:|a
I personally enjoy the team fights (when I dont get jumped, at least(
The build/team variety vs like.. League
I like teamfights as like, an event, and not a sort of ceaseless concussive orbital bombards
Every few minutes is now Forget What You're Doing, Have Incredibly Sloppy Fight
also a recent tourney had a team buy Six Eggs, hold onto the Urn for resists, and the other team fully forfeited
I like fighting! This feels unhealthy for the game
Fair
There -is- a silly new tech where you buy Melee Charge on doorman to hit the urn through door
Maybe make it like every 8 minutes? 5 feels 'alright, the urn fight is over, now- /reset'
I think after a tournament was decided by a team holding onto urn and never letting go for the permanent resistances we can safely decide that it was kinda a failure
The funny part about that for me is that like, the benefits of getting urn haven't changed
the biggest changes are the come back resists and that the souls can't get denied any longer
the biggest change was that it somehow reminded people at my shitter rank that urn exists
yeah at least people play the urn now
All the side farm mine now đ
- Urn spawn time and interval changed from 10/15/20/25/etc to 12/18/24/30/etc
- Urn timer now gets frozen with Frozen Shelter
- Urn no longer provides the +35% Bullet and Spirit Resist aura for the behind team when it is being carried or dropped. The aura is now only active when it is being deposited.
- Urn runner when behind now gains +35% Bul...
more urn changes
mashallah
-
Parrying a trooper no longer resets your parry cooldown (however it won't end your parry early like a hero hit does)
-
Parrying a trooper now stuns the trooper
No my freeze
It's slightly worse now
Wait hmm
Gotta test
about time
Frozen Shelter still cracked for urn fights tbh
you just have to try to lock everyone out of the urn instead of directly on top of it now
Compiling all of my Deadlock-related vocal stims into one video! This made me realize how many I have.....

Any1 up to stack in a bit
deserved I had at least one w and 1 l from solely the fact that a kelvin with a brain would just level ult to steal the urn
they're also seemingly just taking a hammer to urn cheeses
and good
that night shift match was awful to watch
boooooo
by my count those changes mean:
- now the team going for come back urn has to make it to depo to get buffs so they can't use it to clear objectives.
- if the other team does knock the urn off they have an actual chance to steal it.
3.hilding the urn for too long means when you drop it it automatically resets so you can't hold it hostage for longer than 45 seconds unless you're staying within 40m of enemies.
I'm hoping that radius requires line of sight or damage taken, but that's a good start to prevent cheese
nah that was deserved. the ult says it freezes every objective in the game precisely to prevent that kinda cheese
also freezing objectives and timers has its own value tbh
Stalling an urn that already has enemies on it can, in fact, be REALLY good
so its not like frozen shelter stopped being an incredible urnfight ult
Yeah, I can drop an urn and if it's contested I can freeze it to stall
It has use
its a really good use even
You can still freeze them inside and kill them all
By my math you can still hold it hostage for a while, 10-12s on the ground then pick it up and drop it again, adds 2+s to the timer each time but that's still 5-6x as long
This is more of a buff to Kevin than a nerf
But that's not indefinitely like before, and there's less advantage to doing so
well, ehh
No I can't they nerfed my spirit scaling lmao
Kelvin before could straight up steal an urn uncontestably
that was really really strong
It is definitely not a buff having uncontested urns because no one got inside the domain expansion was op
I mean, it's an experiment, I think they could pretty much guess what some of the outcomes were going to be like
I am guessing they were having trouble actually coding it to work yet since its brand new
with Urn Push I think that it's easy to say with hindsight that players will always be on some weird degenerate strategy shit
And Kelvin dome is one of the weirder ult interactions in the game
have you ever run it down mid for 1.23k
but hard to look at the factors involved and predict "yeah it's gonna go down exactly like this"
The experiment was a success because it got all ranks to urn run đ¤
REAL
The experiment was a success because it gave everyone something to hate
running it down mid with your life on the line was a monstrosity though
thank Yoshi it's over
no literally thats what happened last night lmfao
They ran urn to mid for 1,230 us dollars
I think the smarter idea than just running it down would be to just make the biggest all-or-nothing plays
like last night in dlns or was something we did in a game like that and I didn't remember because I was too busy banishing people to Hell
Putting it in mid i think was like
laat night in dlns
Yoshi you had to see how putting it in mid was bad right
Because you either get the effect of running it down (which you were gonna do anyway), or you win and get more of an actual lead
also just to clarify "running it down mid" traditionally has meant inting
not dballing down mid like a runaway train
Oh right yeah, I was talking about inting to cause/prevent comeback
okay see at this point I don't know if we're talking about the comeback urn deathball or running it down to create the comeback advantage
I was talking about the second
I was under the impression that the crazy dlns strat was comeback deathball
It was but they had to run it down mid to create that situation
they bought 6 greggs and then ran it down mid to force comeback
a half-dozen eggs and some cheddar cheese call that an omelette
And then once comeback happened they popped all the eggs at once and had an even souls game (plus control of comeback urn)
don't you have to cede like a fair amount of material up until that point
They did, yes. Also gave up two walkers (held mid)
But at the point Floormen resigned MLC had taken two walkers in exchange
They did. They inted
they ran it down mid with their lives on the line
damn
One of the funniest parts is, one of the Floorman players had thought about doing this sorta strat during the $10k tourney last weekend
I haven't seen the stream yet, so I don't know if this is answered there.
But I wonder if that tactic was a like, paper tiger. Which seems really really frightening but might not actually be that amazing.
Behold a brief explanation https://www.rxddit.com/r/DeadlockTheGame/s/zUgxP2RhHL
If you are bad at the game then yes
If you are very good at the game it's basically like buying 6.4k worth on everyone
It was abusing the resist aura from the urn and swapping it between their teammates right?
and the other buffs, but mainly resist
Which yeah making it an aoe resist was nuts
It's a bit less than 6.4k because you don't get the low health bonus resists, but yeah
Yeah it's a lot
Especially at the 15 minute mark
And over the weekend it was 50% resists instead of 35%, but pickup was contestable
So the winning team had to kidnap the urn to remove the resists from the picture
yeah the key here is that the enemy had to run the urn to get rid of it and they couldn't because they would never bring the urn to pickup
Deadlock is an upcoming third-person shooter and multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game developed and published by Valve.
frogged đ
it's unfortunate that at least last I checked you can't rebind the ban button
my mouse just doesn't register pressing the wheel in as a third input for whatever reason, and I would like to stop having Victor in my games
i wish i kept getting well behaved drifters bc i love being able to ping someone im chasing and then just hear violence sounds as i return to lane.
The ban button does nothing /hj
wrong
it does something but only if the rest of the community agrees to ban that character
hard to say. it's possible taking trophy collector and running it down for kills to get buffs with those urn mechanics would have evened out the game. but 30% resistance from all damage is roughly 6400 worth of items for all players so with even souls that still favored them a bit. I think the new urn changes are good and solve the issue by making the runner more durable and rewarding the losing team to get the deposit going for it to buff everyone.
definitely a welcome change
another Doorman game, another clip farming adventure
So I fell off of Deadlock, tried to get back in and the tech seems too much. Any good guides to getting good with modern(ish) Tech?
nothing SUPER funny happened but I did manage to hit a surprise kidnap without using ult or vortex web, which feels very good when you can make it work
man it is so annoying when i could be winning but am not cuz my isp keeps lagging me out
deadass i feel bad for what we did to them
I don't he saltposted in allchat after I kidnapped him into spawn
seeing that guy die at 2 stacks was like running over a baby
Slapping that mirage stack that kills you
apollo lost money on trophy collector i think
! LEAK !
I'm one of the people who has to work at the Victor Factory. Every time he dies, we need to build a new one. Please, spread awareness about this inhumane practice.
god i wanna play more dynamo
Queing up at 11PM is just asking for a complete hell game
They got us down to the second healthbar and an absolutely heroic teamfight turned it around
the 1 AM deadlock queue-up is the real mistake
that's inviting an hour long hellgame on yourself
drifter is sometimes the easiest dude ever
and sometimes the hardest pos to play ever
the snowballerrrr
yep
dynamo is just easy fun fun fun if your enemies dont build green enough
i might have to build spirit shredder on dyna since EE isnt the best on him (not enough procs)
is anyone whose played league before here?
im tryna figure out how league jungle works and it looks confusing af
(dota jungle is fine too, just need to know how that works)
I played a tiny bit of league, jungle stays in the jungle farming and then ganks lanes
Dont play league
Also take what i said with a grain of salt as i played very little
do we always just have to go to league bashing? I am sorry but it get really tiring. Like its super fine to not wanna play the game or not enjoying its flavour of moba but in here it always just gets brought up as only the negative example with no merit to it. And thats a bit exhausting. Like totally fine to critique it of course, but often it does led to just a flood of negative bashing without nuance or a broader point
League jungle works off a dedicated jungler taking an ability that lets them jungle more effectively, called the Smite spell, where they take all the jungle farm during the laning stages and roam around ganking. Dota jungle works off it being a shared resource that all lanes have access to and takes as they will, usually there being way too much jungle on such a short timer that it is always up and available.
Lots more details to each, especially Dota, but that is how they interact with the roles of the game
true my bad, i honesty only say it for the meme and that is not constructive and im not going to start critiquing it now because this is no place for it
this might have been a little unbalanced
The League jungler is also often responsible for initiating teamfights on jungle objectives (dragon pit, baron pit) because the Smite spell is also used to secure those objectives, and so trying to fight over one of those objectives without a jungler is very likely to just get it stolen by the enemy jungler.
Deadlock all-nighter tonight... or being a reasonable and sane person...
drifter is low key a hard hero to play despite being incredibly simple just because you need to co-ordinate and pop ults well
and be able to estimate your ability to gank and 2v1
Also you gotta accept occasionally popping ult just to gtfo
Or using the forbidden russian stalkers mark on trooper to instantly leave lane
The easy part of Drifter is the execution, the hard part is gauging which fights you can take and keeping in mind that you literally donât have a dedicated escape option built into your character
So you have to either kill everyone you engage or force them to back off / pick a new target
At least his ult's CD is pretty quick
But with the urn being such a key point of large conflict you have to be careful panic popping it if you're in danger
My understanding from this description then is that Deadlock Jungle is much less intensive, and more of a supplement to wave farm than an entire role at this stage in dev
that's also my understanding in general, but still
It is closest to dota but with it being a lot easier to clear a map of farm, which is expected since there isn't a dedicated carry role that is just going to spend the first 20 minutes farming
I mean seven exists, but I take your point
Honestly I find Seven's a lot stronger early game that people give him credit for, if I were to identify anyone in the roster as a dota-esque tier 1 carry it'd probably be Wraith
Also her, but I'd say Seven's got weaknesses early game.
1 HP regen, a close range stun is his only escape tool, and his damage is crap if he invests in that
I've taken to buyuing HP regen on him every game just so I don't get taken out in lane through attrition
My sibling plays league and is like, just a normal person having fun
But I call them gigi now
?
Oh boy my favorite role
You know exactly what I mean
I genuinely don't
Did they transition or something. What am I missing
Wait do you not know what the autofisters are?
I thought you were big on holo
OHHHHHHH I DIDN'T REALIZE IT WAS REFERING TO THAT
No I just read unhealthy amounts of fanfiction
Like genuinely absurd
Basically your job as the jungler is to most effectively split your time between
- making resources in your own jungle
- stealing things from the other jungler
- setting up neutral objective takes
- getting your lanes ahead
- psychologically torturing the other teamâs laners
- ignoring your teamâs complaints because your priority is all wrong and youâre fucking everything up
Everyone else is in a boxing match but youâre playing checkers to get them all ahead

Like I spent 5 hours last night doing nothing but reading fanfiction so it ends up that I read like. A ton of hololive fanfiction even if it's only like 30% of the fics I read
Rem, for some reason
Rem is sort of similar but deadlock doesnât really have jungling
Hop on league is like, Gigi's thing đ
Like the gay makeout gifs or
The most spiritually jungle deadlock characters are drifter and doorman
God I know WAY more holo than I actually watch
CeCe. We need to hop on league
Okay I'm guessing the gay makeout gifs
And wraith, for some reason
Gigi really likes league and wants everymem to queue with her iirc
Ohhhhhhh okay that would make sense
hop on jungler cece
I think they've asked Mori?
hop on jungler
she has
I can't wait till some extremely terrible perma-roamer strat gets popularized and everyone tries to make it happen in queue with randoms without communicating at any point.
River Sven will ride again, I can see it in my crystal ball
I dont really comm much but only because my strat is mostly "see ally in fight, go in to ult who they fighting, leave to kill the 5 waves on mid"
Gigi is dead insane
Anyone up to stack in like, 20 mins
Veilwalker bebop pre movement speed on bombs nerf
Or just. Whenever
It's the weekend. I need to deadlock like there's a disease in my brain that makes me incapable of pressing play on any other game
Sure
I saw green bebop with like, 4 purples and the rest green yesterday
Work then tabletop for me, at least today.
Tankbop has been nerfed but still viable with the heal on upper cut and witchmail
Enemy team was convinced they were walling
They were just really good compared to the redt
Make sure to nab the deadlock role so you get pinged if people are looking to group up!
Ive never seen the role get pinged once
Using wall hacks to run up and press 2 on someone is really funny, that's just good game sense
Oh thought weekly(ish) were getting organized via it
How do I get the role
Figured it ou-
Nvm
How...
probably self assignable with the bot?
?rank deadlock in bot stuff
Ohhhhhhhh it's not usable here okay
<@&1277035919182008330> anyone up to [NERF BEBOP]?
yo
I think Deadlock should have an-
god damnit
I just realized Bullet Dance is Omnislash
I'm an idiot
honestly sometimes apollo pokes feel like it
anyone up to deadlock soon-ish
we did something odd an unusual
the entire enemy team was in all chat saying "fuck you drifter" "driver you a fat fuck" "die drifter die"
You know, it's a little weird that your stats are on the left/in the orange but the objectives you took are on the right
Like I get what they were going for, but it's weird
mm acting kinda strange
most fucking locked in match ive played in a while
made it to seeker iv off that
Really hard to describe how much that march felt like I was in every lane at once
Street brawl has been like that for a while I think
I had 4 or 5 street brawl 0-3 matches in a row back before the March patch came out
i dont know why but no matter what, if a game goes into late w/ less than like, 20% soul difference, I WILL start winning
went from throwing to highest souls and kills
so abrams can now
carpet gravity scale applies to majestic leap. including in abrams ult.
ok so thats... a whole lane?
you can snipe someone from a whole lane away
also completed my dynamo build
might remove monster
last cat shouldnt be named telefrag
i love how people just like, post bridgette randomly in dynamo chat
Snipe implies precision. This is a whole ass artillery strike
Depending on what you are doing you might want metal skin instead of bullet res, for example for ulting
Monster rounds are nice, you dont do great in lane for creep clear, helps your 1
I would prio it a bit more
Also extra regen is a bit redundant due to your healing tempo
Additionally you should maybe add unstoppable to the build, indomitable will not stop 3 stuns when you ult if the enemy has counters
Love the whole 'I am Going to Use My Ult' Dynamo suite, you can really commit to the bit and it's so potent
Unstopp Cheat Death Refresher etc
I do that on mo and skill, the enemy team loves it lol
The fact arcane surge is usually involved makes it such a joyous leap too
I love a good mo and krill game, i love how much it annoys the enemy team
I have been asked how i have fun by a calico i chased down
Tragically she's correct, the mole is villainous
I basically oneshot a infernos with mo and a lash and the infernos because very salty there after, same game
Also have a clip of me clutching a urn melee last second after jumping of the zip
Got to grab that
I think i should try calico, i had some neat games with her in brawl
Calico feels kind of matchup dependant, if the enemies are tanky enough she has to be soooo opportunistic
She's also weaker now than previously
I will caution that if your main experience with her is street brawl that your experience will be dramatically different
and also that you will need to learn the cat routes

My build isnt an ult build, its a 2 build
To be more exact its a "bait enemy into drifter" and using 2 to just deal damage on a permanent cycle kinda build
Ult is the very last upgrade I get
also if there is a haze and she utls you as another example
Extra regen is just... a really good healing item tbh
I find with dyna you get so much value out of your 2 and knowing how to keep distance you can just, never engage in a fight on enemy terms

paige mod idea
i heard honking + car crash sfx added to paige ult and was like
yep
You're cooking with this one
The traffic warlock!
yoooooo
GOD DAMMIT STEVE
Geist as Dessa?
(Tourney) ||MLC winds up buying 5x divine barrier vs Pocket, and it pays off||
thats fucking hilarious
wardened it
Yeah, in the second half of the game ||BWC was getting most stuff done off of affliction plays, but also Abrams, Rem, Silver, and Wraith all lean a lot on healing for survival||
bell curve meme where it's
- buy the counter item because it counters the hero
- noooooooo buying defensive items from behind can delay your ability to do meaningful damage and cost you critical tempo in the long run, you contribute nothing to a fight and will die eventually anyway if you don't have any outgoing threat, have buying active counters be the duty of your supports instead
- buy the counter item because it counters the hero
The support did buy it first before everyone else
That is crazy
It took 8 games to go from seeker 1 to arcanist 1
i think my estimated level was just very low
But after escaping iniate i now gain +/- 1 or 2 ranks every game
it sounds like matchmaking in initate specifically is weird or something then
i wonder how ur mmr even got that low
Easy I had never played a moba or hero shooter before
lmfao @ this graves who hit me with "reddit build, I'm calling you out"
and then fucking tripped, fell on her face, and died
we lost this match due to disconnect but I did hit a sick clip here
I am more enthralled by the egg convo
Good shit tho
Hell yeah , this skin honestly got me into Yamato as a character
Don't worry about it
I had a dream about playing The Lash
Yknow I didn't hear the convo and I somehow instantly knew the topic
thers no way you could know the topic
its an insane bullshit topic
the first thing i was like was like "yknow it's kinda trans"
and then me remembering it doesnt exist in brawl
i talk about forcefeming apollo so much whenever i get the chance
also yesterday i interupted calico and billy having and epic battle and just oneshot cali as yama and they complained about their honorbound duel, so i went "honor does not matter as long as the seventh moon returns to new york"
(we were chill, talked about rice shower vin earlier)
completely wrong
Wuh
Telling you is a complete bullshit discussion
Deadlock is an upcoming third-person shooter and multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game developed and published by Valve.
can someone explain why when i play mirage he never seems to perform as well as the enemy?
skill issue /s
but no I feel the same way, mirage on my team is ???, enemy mirage is a fucking nightmare
you gotta learn how to be a real sick fuck with mark application and teleporting around the map
mirage teleports are one of the biggest changes you can make to your playstyle that will make the enemy hate you
oh yeah i teleport like crazy
first game i got into late-mid (around 25~30k) and then i just got a moment where i was teleporting into people and just deleting them the second they tried to fight, i think billy?
having someone on aggro duty so i can just teleport and clean up is so, so good
teleport is really good for healing up too, in lane
The worst is less teleporting onto people and killing them but just completely macro-fucking the enemy team
No walker is safe
No lane is free
For micro stuff I'd make sure you are having scarab up for engagements and playing around that cool down as well as trying to take extended fights and playing around your mark
Your Shrines Are In Danger
In the sense that like you only want to push when you have a couple stacks already on an enemy
macro is One Of Those Things that can take a while to build up a sense for
but it's probably the most important sense you can have
Mark damage doubles with each stack, so multi stacks hit much harder than lower amounts
i find cooldown being pretty important to get
Deadlock macro for me is like make sure waves are pushed but also you aren't bunched up with too many other people all at once
And then make sure you don't overextend when you don't know where people might be
But that's all really generic nonhelpful advice I think
Its taken me time tog et used to
What rules I've heard as guidelines are - 2 waves o f shoving puts a lane in your favor until the objective clears or the enemy does
This is a general thing about improvement in games but I think if you want to ask for advice the more specific you go the better
2 waves, farm what you can, 2 waves, farm
Always try to farm front to back
as far towardsenemey base as you can, then peel back to safer territory to finish the jungle farm
Because otherwise you will mostly get generic advice that everybody has heard or advice that is generally correct but not to all situations and you might struggle with misapplying it to certain situations
something i do a lot as mirage is teleporting into walker or shrines or bgs or lane and eating them to gain huge monies and divert enemy players to kill me so theyd waste a 1v1 or 2v1 while my team was doing important stuff
its quite big to be able to constantly divert or side push instantly
noted
and you can eat walkers extremely quickly with EE+tier 3 mark
the tp also only has like 40 seconds cd when leveled
ee gains stacks from scarabs
so you can just do it nearly all the time
it can get even lower with TC
i usually have it around 28 by the end of the game
teleporting onto teamfights is generally not as impactful because you usually have more time to reach them
also teleporting to escape a sticky situation is always huge, especially if you manage to do it after eating bg or walker
escape teleport is big yeah, if you can get the two second of space to do it
This is good advice but definitely what I mean that this advice could burn you if ur team sucks basically
i had a situation last night where i kept getting 3v1d after eating objectives and using the double dash tornado to gain enough distance to teleport and fuck them over
ah
well i exclusively play 4 stack or more
Yeah
so if your team sucks thats a queue issue
i dont have a stack yet :(
but mirage lowkey sucks to play in solo queue
similar to drifter
very reliant on your allies not having received a lobotomy just before the match
if you want a similar experience but someone who can ignore team you might enjoy sevensies
Im a dynamo main rn
He performs decently early, and is just really good mid to late
imean
I feel like im kinda hardstuck partly cuz I dont have a reliable team
yeah hes one of the best altogether
you probably are
a good team is more important than any single player
Im low alchemist
High seeker
The few games I had where there was coord we lost a lot less
you gotta get a stack or youll be trapped
Ngl i never see anyone stacking here
I actually had better luck climbing when I did solo q over stacking but that was like a few months ago
Also 2/3 stack kinda fucking sucks to play
if you play a hard carry its way easier solo
but if you play anything that relies more team coord to pop off and cant ruin the game solo its much harder imo
Pains of dynamo
you must find your own stack and kidnap your friends
this is why those people you know are always saying hop on league
I perform stupidly well solo for a teamplay character
its not just that they want you to play league
they need people they can trust to play league
I'm very good at attrition warfare
You can't touch me, and im touching you with kinetic pulses
The secret to duo queue is if you wanna win you don't wanna be in the same lane
So you can affect 2/3 lanes of the game rather than 1
but what if one of you sucks
Personally I don't mind solo queue but you do need to like let things wash over you
(its me)
There's this tweet that's like I exclusively play support in multiplayer games and I don't get upset when my team doesn't do what I want because I've already been hardened by playing mahjong for years
the true secret is to scream and cry at your team and blame it on reddit builds
It's not even a Reddit build
it's a youtuber build
idk I should've told that Graves I actually found this build in an abandoned IHOP or something
notice how i didnt even say his name?
we were literally in that match together
we weren't
i was
we were discussing the problem of domestication syndrome
which can be observed most keenly in rem players
talking about domestication syndrome and attentional redirection in human-reared animals and how it presents problems for researching language in animals while casually committing unspeakable crimes against the lane
I think that stunting that Mina's entire match so hard she couldn't reach Mina carry potential was pretty good
whats the build's core, anyways?
what, for doormaxxer doorman?
the core items are trophy hunter, vortex web and cheat death
oh and greater expansion
after that you can kinda just buy whatever
^
Max door range, cheat death so you can just escape anyways, and vortex web to force people into the kidnaps
You can add knockdown and even Divine barrier for another 12% ability range, another CC and a cleanse for evil, but good luick getting that kind of money
I get HV Bullets > Opening Rounds early because it's stat efficient as fuck, replaces Monster Rounds if you want the bullet velocity more, and helps you finish people off in lane. Mystic Burst might be better for killing people with, I've been contemplating adding Veil Walker after Vortex but before Cheat Death because it's really good for sneaking up on people and killing them
the youtuber build that got called reddit build
yeah that's what I'm talking about lol
now that you can't instantly cut people off with door close I think it's less a cheese build and more just a dedicated pick support playstyle, your job is to isolate people and make teamfights less fair
and it turns out
being able to drastically change the balance of power in teamfights is fucking scary and leads to fights that should be even or losing for your team suddenly becoming a blowout because Silver is in the Baroness and Haze got kidnapped and can't contribute
Yeah but.. let us close the door, though. V_V
it's a rough one when people get back through the door but that's what dedicated garbage disposal door locations are for
good luck getting back up on top of the 4th story neon sign
I more miss being able to save myself/others
You can still save yourself and others you just have to be more aware of like, establishing your door ahead of time if you want to use it as an emergency exit, positioning doors so theyâll send people somewhere enemies canât follow without risking their necks, etc.
Fuck Lash though, I hate that I have to leave the door open so that chucklehead can follow me through and hit his button combo on me
Everyone always follows through the door, enemies risking their own lives has never been an issue
S'just that now you basically have to put it under walker or something
or you've simply moved the fight
The other thing is that doors are a natural choke point, which means if people try to chase you through you get to line up your cart on them for free
I knowwww I've been playing this fella since everyone thought he sucked, truly I wish those times were back
And like, it didn't solve his problems in pro play, it mostly just makes him feel much worse to play
Also knowing how to walljump is so fucking useful
So on, I think, yellow? There's the little bridge between the two buildings
I did some really basic movement and got up there
And it saved my ass from Abrams
yep
been playing Warden in Street Brawl; wish his 1 had a targeter
his flask, right?
yeah, his flask
i will behonest strreet brawl is a really bad way to learn mirage because you will get basically None of the items that you ever want on him
i just wanted to try him out in a non-standard match
also actually more imporatant question
i got like, All The Gun Ever this match
what does your mirage build look like
heâs also such a macro focused character
it was really weird
in standard
Getting good at him requires you learn how best to play the macro game with his teleport
its a beetle -> mark build iirc
i mean most builds are for him currently
but more specifically what does it look like
items and such
yeah
i personally get titanic or active early cuz i like shooting and it compensates a little for not-so-perfect-aim
Also an earlier superior duration is nice because it keeps mark active for longer
Which makes confirming easier
Opening rounds I generally find unnecessary
Id replace it with trophy collector
And replace extra spirit with improved spirit
tracklock builds are weird ngl
Tracklock builds are fake
basil's is very interesting
it makes a lot of sense cuz beetles are strong af from my understanding
I do really like opening rounds on mirage
tracklock builds are like
theyre treating this like league of legends
where you only ever build towards big items
i hate the tracklock build for dynamo
if you cant go ingame in buildbrowser I do like https://statlocker.gg/builds/build-library?heroId=52 statlockers bruild browser and just look at the e6 people to see what they generally build and decide which one you like best
Track your Deadlock matches, analyze performance, and improve. Real-time stats, hero tier lists, build guides, and rank tracking.
mine for reference
where the orange?
When I'm playing Sinclair and look at his E6 buys and it's first buy egg second buy boundless spirit third buy cheat death
you defo need more orange
Itâs more likely than you thinkâŚ
i find myself just... not really doing much with orange in the first place
maybe mystic shot, maybe spirit shredder
I mean itâs Mirage
You get orange value by birthright
Buy Ricochet, live a little
this is a dynamo build im using
you need to get more green
Oh fuck I mustâve scrolled past something
geninely speaking?
same lmao
For Dynamo my recommendation for orange power spike is like
i use tracklock for convenience. Too much reading in the actually good builds.
Recharging Rush for ya 1, Headhunter
Genuinely you need a 3200 green item if you're going with this build
i find that dynamo's HP scales so hard you dont need more than 2, maybe 3 greens
If youâre really sending it take Ballistic Enchantment on your 1 as well, but like
Idk if itâs worth
sometimes you get a build made by someone that doesn't have a lot of text and then I use those over tracklock usually
Otherwise you're not hitting the spike
the build is always trophy + spirit resil + juggernaut
Oh also Dynamoâs gun: shockingly strong out of the box
Orange dynamo is very real
Investing in Headhunter early is surprisingly good
statlocker build library is really nice since it is just the buildbrowser from ingame but does tell you the ranks of the people
When are you buying spirit resilience?
Nahhh full orange Dynamo is a meme, but Recharging Rush / headshot Dynamo is a good way to get your 4.8K in orange and cook
which is usually around, 20-something minutes
Because even though the damage from your gun drops off, having more stomps does not
but i might have to try recharging and headshots
my experience was the opposite but also I play Paige who has a mean ass gun despite being a support
Okay you should almost certainly buy it earlier
For the spike
i dont need it
Yeah youâre comparing Dynoâs solid gun to Paigeâs crime
It's worth to pre buy and not die and be a fat fuck
Paigeâs gun is like
it's for the spike
no like im being serious though
so am i
Weirdly strong in return for fucked up deficiencies
i genuinely dont need it most of the time
Ehh real shit May
Paige cannot deal with characters like Vindicta
Dynamo only starts needing to eat his greens when itâs teamfight o clock and you want to survive the 3 piece singularity hit
Dynamo is a fat fuck but the 4.8k spike is very significant for not getting slimed during your ult and being embarassed
Everything can be evaded even with high velocity unless you just spam
i also dont build my ult until the end lol
Devious
this build is like, the greediest, most 1v1 dynamo build ever
I thought it was generally good practice to reach ur main breakpoint on each category
getting to 4.8k is just a huge benefit in general
it is
New urn definitely makes Greater Expansion a more relevant early buy for Dynamo now
Its a huge buff to you
Some builds will delay their Spirit/Gun spike because you really REALLY donât use it
On basically every build I play I focus on getting all my 4.8k spikes before getting any big boy items
difference from 2.4k invest to 4.8k invest is +15% health to +40% health
Sure I imagine there's strategies that want to do this
The other thing Iâll point out about eating your greens as Dynamo is that he literally gets more out of it than other characters
Most builds seem to focus on getting 4.8 early with maybe a couple of detours for key items
But I think when you don't know what ur doing it's good to get those spikes
Even just going from 3.2k to 4.8k goes from 20% to 40%
FR 4.8k is literally the most HP for your money, and for dynamo who's entire ult is run into the enemy team, its still real useful
for me i generally find myself just... not really needing more health than what i get out of the box
lots of this is because i stompmaxx
40% extra health base on Dyno is a LOT of extra health
It's that it's fucking huge
Like
Grab Enduring Speed so you can get in and avoid slows, Grab a 3200 or some other 1600s
It is ye but it still does depend on hero
A really astounding amount actually
needing and not needing it are different from being a good idea
If you are dying ever it implies you could benefit from more health
there def are spirit heroes where you can skip the orange breakpoint fully
it is almost always a good idea to hit 4.8k in two categories rather than being at 1.6k in one category and 16k in another
Though literally I'd just say try it out in a game and see how it feels
like MnK
Like Iâm sure stomp maxxer Dynamo can just live off of his Spirit Reverb healing and his swole ass base health pool
In fact
Iâve played that, it works
I'm saying dynamo should eat at least 4.8k greens before 20 minutss
ya
But the 4.8K spike in vitality makes him so fucking thicc holy hell
You can even buy Healbane and still get spirit power with your greens
sry did get confused again
I would say aswell to never skip the big breakpoint of greens on literally any hero
I think every char in the game probably wants 4.8k green yeah
Except mina
nah
The only hero with an argument for it is Mina
Idk shit about Mina
and both just good items
But even then, you need to be able to survive fucking something as Mina and the 3.2K green movement items are good for her
for me 4.8k green depends heavily on the state of the game really
The colossal suck is kind of the idea as Mina
and like stuff like enchanters emblem also just boost your dmg for being a green aswell
She only has 660 base and gets 28 every boon
Just dogshit health scaling
Able to survive WHAT as mina??
the +40% isn't that impactful because it rarely stops you from getting slimeddd
cuz i have games where ill be going like, 85k souls
itried to play her but holy fuck play why to agressive to be good at her xd
and this is my build
i just omega throw every lane on her
You have to be able to not get killed by supports with guns
yea but my point is that 4.8k is literally always a good idea
there's never a situation where 4.8k is the wrong choice
Ehh I donât get 4.8k in gun as Doorman most games and I do fine but Iâm also playing a very specific way where my stat breakpoints are taking a back seat to how much utility I can squeeze out of 10 slots
this is something i pull off only on dynamo because i can use his abilities all in a very specific manner that allows me to bypass the need for green in much of early
You are also barely shooting people
where da maj leap for sick ass bombs
Now thatâs only partly true, early lane Iâm shooting guns at peoplesâ heads constantly
i removed torment pulse from the build cuz you're building him more like a vindicta that uses the ground instead of anything else
it's just worth it to be fat
I should add Veil Walker to my build
how mystic shot on doorman to proc that spellbreaker?
now, i would 100% build more green if i was playing him more close range with phantom + arctic blast
Kinda wokeâŚ
Kinda geniusâŚ
which are INCREDIBLY funny on dynamo
Pstrike ult really good on Dynamo
trust me the 4.8k is big on dynamo especially early and especially in current burger box mode
I guess what I'm gonna say is playing in a specific way is fine but generally especially for builds in mobas if you wanna improve its not a bad idea to just build what the good players do until you understand more of the games fundamentals
its amazing. def one of the bigger reasons why it is goated on yamato
And if you're going to solo queue as dynamo you want to be able to survive the Driftuh and the mirage
stand back, stomp people stomp people stomp people
2 into them for mystic right click bombs to proc spellbreaker before you do 1/3
I mean I think itâs not gonna be a matter of convincing Ivy at this point, everyone has their own aesthetic when it comes to building their main
I am sometimes wondering if mystic shot on MnK would be sick but hmm
yeah im fully aware of how i can build dynamo
gotta try it out sometime
and there's definitely better ways
I do think that having a big fat chungus Dynamo ult in your pocket for urn fights is more relevant now than before though
Yeah I think people can play how they want and it's totally valid
but like, this is a solo-q people-never-talk nobody-will-support-you type of build
It is truly a Ravage era of Deadlock
i would 100% run much more green and have unstoppable, etc if i had a team
as you go to higher rank stuff being able to not die in solo-q is more important
Health is less important with a solid co-ordinated team
it's simply... i dont really die much?
there's been 1 dynamo game where i died a lot out of many
because you can trust rem to tag along
Rem, my chud sonâŚ
or kelvin
âOkay guys time to cash this urnâ
The wily and calculating Paradox:
I'm guessing that as dynamo youre probably getting like 4-5 deaths per game?
depends
probably 6-9?
I'm not super confident in this take but I never really vibed with the idea of playing specific characters to carry in solo q to get to high ranks then play who you really want
This isint really about what ivy said either I'm just musing
which is lower than most other characters i play
It's precisely why I don't solo queue
I haven't really gotten good enough at enough matchmaking based team games to be confident in that take tho
I wonât lie, solo queue is a weird place and it favors just playing the hero that wins unassisted
i want to play my chuddies not Sevens
yeah i dont like soloq but when you dont have a stack of people you can trust
No it does but I'm saying idk if you should fully go onto that path or just brave it out on ur scrimblos
its honestly better to soloq than to play duos or trios from my experience
I think people who say that generally are the type who already like doing that stuff
They already want to play a hypercarry, farm all game and then go on an unhinged rampage
The fact that it works in solo queue as well as with a team is just selection bias at work
Yeah I see what you mean
The way I see it is no matter what I play ill eventually get better to carry games even on less impactful roles
And I'm not in a rush to see my funny number go up
Every role is impactful tbh if you are a support and all you do is funnel like 5 kills into a carryâs open mouth in the first 10 minutes youâre contributing to winning the match like crazy
Or if you just strangle a carry to death in lane for ten minutes and make sure that they never impact the match
