You can't catch up on damage unless you farm to the max, so grab cursed relic, knockdown, etc and let your team's heavy hitters do the job

forcing goobs out of lane is perfectly fine in Deadlock, this is a game that is really hard to convert a great lane into a win
you can get a lot of early pressure in if you lane well but there's so many catch up mechanics that keep a great lane from snowballing like League or Dota. If you're really good you can still do it though

Losing lane consistently and then just kinda flopping around uselessly all game

When in doubt, especially if you're behind, push lanes and try to grab sinners or just run boxes, then run away the second you see an enemy player anywhere near your lane unless they're actively getting jumped by your teammates
Also try to do those things alone unless there's an enemy player; it's more efficient than sharing farm with a teammate once the laning phase is over (after roughly the 10 minute mark I'd say)

but yeah, Bombbop has delayed damage output, is reliant on a purgeable effect, is reliably countered with one item if he does pop off and has bad average throughput as a damage dealer

there's still another inference there; Talon was the founder of the society. Calico learned her return to shadows Ult at the society. All her contract killing skills too. So Calico leaving and taking what she learned to become a killer with supernatural power. and the baxter society hunts those; Talon mentions if the society at large knew about Geist they'd be coming after her.
Calico also fits that criterion as "supernatural killer"/monster and thus traitor/judas at this point IMO.

one of Talon's unfinished dialogues implies that while still angry at Calico, he's glad she's helping him, which ponts to her still caring about her mentor and not betraying his family.

He hasn't but I also wonder if that's just because they're still working on his design and want that finalized. Rick D. wasserman is a good VA for the type of character Warden is, but if they're making sure his lore is relatively finalized, and they have a proper model, It'd make sense.
