I've honestly found it much easier to get past the outskirts in groups over solo- there are like two or three different outskirts fights that destroy me every time
the frog and the dragon are both pretty brutal solo

one of the crow's attacks (the one that teleports you, it starts with a small circle inside a big one) is a huge knowledge check- stay on the bottom left side of the screen vs. her until you know what the pattern is, then move to the bottom right after she spawns the first circle on you

but depending on your setup you could just use both controller and mouse (keep the mouse close enough that you just take your hand off the controller for a sec to move if you really need it)

it doesn't help that some of them have incorrect telegraphs too
it also doesn't help that the pattern punishes you for moving incorrectly
because unlike most of the stuff if you mess up you can just move back into position but with the butterflies once you send them in the wrong spot you're guaranteed to eat a hit unless you have a double defense
