I can usually handle 10s, it is some work, but if i build actually efficient instead of kind of goofin around it turns out ok. Unless Bugs decide to be cruel, idk what happens sometimes

I find d8 is very uneven when playing public
Sometimes its very smooth, other times a hellish experience (in a good way usually)
Outside of the subfaction events I tend to find D10 pubs a more even experience than d8-9. Probably a selection pressure where the people who play it are generally competent enough to carry their weight
Obviously sometimes things go pear shaped but that's half the fun of helldivers

And I don't mind one person being out of depth as long as they're following along and providing covering fire/respawning folks

i tend to only have the occassional black screen on extract that blocks the transition on ship for everyone else until the game crashes out

The MG and Gatling sentries should be as far in the upper left as possible. Barely even on the chart.
They are only doing their job the best they can. They just don't have any trigger discipline.
simply don't walk infront of them by not walking at all
problem is uneven terrain and when the gatling decides to swing 180 degrees to kill a scavenger
machine gun is much less dangrious in this way
Machine gun>gatling in many situations for this and that it lasts longer due to less immediate ammo expenditure
Yeah I mostly run mg over Gatling in any situation
gatling still good vs voteless, but i prefer MG for bugs, just less of them more spread out
the MG and Gatling sentries only kill you if you didn't clear the area around you first. also, if you pointed them the wrong way, they also have a higher chance to kill you/your teammates. what beats this, of course, is proper communication between you and your squadmates as to where you put your sentry and where it's facing.
also, i can count on one hand the amount of times i've seen AC and rocket sentries kill teammates, because the gap between each shot of their guns lets me grab a drink lmao
tbf I have personally been stupid enough to both climb on and walk directly in front of an ac sentry (dying in both cases) more than once
i mean hey look we all have bad days and momentary loss of brain function lol it's just they fire so slow you can walk in front of them and not die lol
can't do that with MG and Gatling sentries

i find it hilarious how much we're dumpstering the illuminate. they had this whole plan of hurtling the singularity into super earth but we are repeatedly not just repelling them but WIPING THEM OFF THE MAP ENTIRELY.
I think part of that is that they go after planets individually at random rather than taking and holding territory
for being so advanced, the literal wild animals are more intelligent than them. wow.

Borderline is new and cool, Urban has that nice armour and the AT emplacement, both Cutting Edge and Servants of Freedom have great guns and grenades, I might be missing an important one somewhere
Urban has a very strong armor passive, the AT gun is useful if niche. Cutting Edge is very meh imo. Servant's double edge sickle kinda needs you to build around it to be extraordinary

Apparently they managed to push an update that made it harder (if not impossible) for older CPU's to even run Helldivers 2. It's the source of all the stuttering and freezing.

Afaik, Arrowhead implemented some AI upgrades in the last big patch to make enemies more dangerous. This was supposed to have minimal CPU impacts, though still there, but seemingly if folks are having issues (I've only noticed problems with squid ships not despawning and screwing up squid spawns), it's obviously a bigger impact that anticipated
Sony can only fuck up stuff around accounts/moderation etc, they don't have direct access to the software.
Well, and declare they're closing Arrowhead, but why they'd close wildly successful live service studio would be a question for the ages

You empty the preloaded AC, it works as normal. But reloading it makes it unable to fire.

Wasp is fun indeed. I wish they could rework the locking system for Wasp though. I know it is supposed to all target one individual thanks to how lock on works in the game. But I want to lock onto multiple targets and spread out the missiles in one burst damn it.
I want to target a gunship cluster and lock onto all of them before firing an entire mag that spreads evenly to each target.

This major order seems pretty tough
what actually happened at Popli IX
The automatons sent a massive Level 40 invasion against it ( which is about 8% offense progress per hour) with both the Jet and the Incernation Brigades. It looked like almost a sure loss, but the DSS was redeployed to Popli X and stopped the offensive from progressing beyond 95%, with 2 hours to spare in the defense. Liberation was at about 45%. The planet was then liberated in less than a day before the DSS could redeploy.
During the final day, the bots also targeted cryo-pod resupply lines, leaving the remaining defenders with only 3 reinforcements per player (so 12 total instead of the usual 20 for a squad of 4)

I'd lean towards a heavy cannon for the backpack version, something like a grumpier Autocannon, or just an AP5 belt feed machine gun (ideally with the downsides of like being near uncontrollable if you're not crouching or prone. )
For backpackless, I'd probably do some kind of light, fast reloading rocket launcher that can take down anti tank stuff, but needs multiple shots/landing precision hits to really do it's job. Probably with very limited ammo - even do it as like having the extra shots on the side of the launcher
I kinda hope that they will rework the Wasp's rocket pathing. I wouldn't mind if it would just launch straight up into the sky and then rain down on targets.
Combine that with a slight modification that allows us to toggle between focusing on one target to targeting multiple for one Wasp missile each lock.
Sort of like discount Eagle Rocket Pods.
a backpack gauss cannon AT weapon that has railgun mechanics, 3 shots per mag and each shot starts at 1200 AP7 safe mode damage scaling to 3000 at 99% unsafe mode, with almost no demo force (cant kill a bug hole)
or an AT laser cannon with heat mechanics, like 30-40m max range but shoots a 1000 DPS AP6 beam with like 3 seconds uptime
2 shot missile launcher with backpack that has 1600 damage per missile and has laser guidance like the commando

The one we use in game is based on the M3 84mm recoilless rifle
In WW2, US airborne and light infantry forces used the M18 57mm recoilless rifle
Honestly you could take the shells used by the Autocannon sentry, punch holes in the cartridges, and load them into a recoilless rifle, that'd be dope

Bot Missions are so good at starting the drop with Artillery Jammer and Gunship Factories in range
it's like they can sense where we're coming down
It's why I often bring the ultimatum if we are doing anything that resembles a hot drop. Being able to just dive the jammer solves so many scuffed starts
Ultimatum is great for bots in general just because having a pocket PIAT to deal with a random hulk when you come out of your pod is nice
My main issue with the ultimatum is forgetting I have the ultimatum
My nerves tell me to pull out a sidearm for self defense

i got an itch to play em more after running them into bugs for the MO, but i really just prefer the bots as a faction to fight in mo-less downtime
obligatory "don't" comment out the way are there any tips for avoiding getting sniped by cannon turrets
look up what a "berm drill" is
the only way to avoid being sniped by cannons is to present yourself for as small a period as possible
bubble shield backpack will genuinely improve your survivability, allowing you to tank rockets, blaster fire and cannon fire to your centre while its up
you need to use cover more and be aware of bot anti-tank
Basically, peek over hills only up to the guns, don't show your legs, fire off, and run back behind the hill.
That's a berm drill.
Or well, a berm drill is practicing that.
knowing how fast you can move up just enough to present guns, come to a stop and begin to move back
it takes a few seconds for a cannon turret to charge its shot
in essence, use cover and use a backpack bubble shield, this should make the mech last long enough to expend all it's ammo

Personally I'd take a Quasar or Lascannon for if/when you run out of mechs, and then an offensive strategem of your choice.

big bubble shield can also be useful as can the longer respawning turrets

My usual bot loadout is Big bubble, Rocket sentry, 500kg, RR. throw down rocket sentry, then bubble shield (Always do it this order so the rocket doesnt smash the shield) and watch the carnage flow
Also two predator strains just launched invasions on Crimsica and Esker, which is totally not suspcious and no there's no major order eitehr

New bug variant Army of Renown: Crusher Stampede Juggernaut Strain: Warriors are replaced with tiny Chargers. They have less health and only have heavy armor on their bodies, the legs are medium. They would come in packs, where the first one knocks you over and the rest trample you.

That charger forgot what it was doing, happens to me all the time.
It's trickier than it sounds to do though
I prefer going for the head, since even if you whiff the eye shot, you still crack it and can get the second hit for a kill. (Two in the same place anywhere is a kill as well on factory Striders)
If you can get behind them, it's easier to just get close and gut them as well. Very good for the patrol objective
