OK, looking over it again, you get the chance to take these before you get the Reinforcements Booster:
Space Optimization (Page 3 and 15 medal), Health (Page 4 and 20 medals), Stamina Enhancement (Page 7 and 75 medals), Muscle Enhancement (Page 9 and 70 medals)
Literally all of these are better than reinforcements.

on 10s its definitely noticeable as the increased time between having to stop to obliterate a botdrop really gives you more time spent working on objectives

God i hope this means theyre going to buff or change how it works, pretty much lost all reason to exist after the ammo swapping buffs to the AC and RR
tbh after the stealth buff it got to its damage (effectively twice as much damage with the clusters) i think its already got a pretty good place
flak AC and HE RR dont have the sheer group killing potential it has
it can and will wipe a light-medium mixed group now consistently
imo just needs staged reloads and maybe an alt-fire mode that has some AT capabilities (maybe only as strong as QC/EATs)

the cluster bomblets use the same explosion id as the frag grenades. When they buffed frag grenade damage, it also indirectly buffed the cluster bomblet damage, pretty much doubling it

You didn't round up to 16, it's now 200% extra developed
So with animation cancelling, it looks like you can shoot down about 4/5 of a 5 ship drop ship
although it's usally 3/5, because something'll fuck you on the forth shot

I usually go Fire rocekt 1, reload, dive to cancel and shoot the second rocket (cos you can fire while diving), stay down while i'm loaindg hte third, hop up, fire the third, repeat the dive cancel for the foruth

You can reload cancel just by tapping CTRL to briefly bring up the stratagem input mode. Just wait until the reload goes through by the red rocket outline turning full white
This might not technically fall under "community support", but it is becoming a little grating how little information is available ingame. I'm onboarding a friend after a long break and realizing that the new features like programmable ammo and toggling drones backpacks have joined the ranks of mechanics indicated nowhere ingame.

Plus letting us know a little of what's down the pipeline, even if its as vague as "new support weapons, new enemy for this faction etc" would be nice for keeping enthusiasm for the game up

The Bots are getting crueller about distributing side objectives, I swear. Always a jammer and it overlaps a mortar and other side is covered in the gunship range

I mean.. depends how old your current setup is and what it's got
HD2 doesn't need a crazy GPU I think, but if your CPU is like... 5 generations old it might need an upgrade
Even then you may still need to run on low settings
sitting on a Ryzen 2500X and a GTX 1650 (4GB) and I can run HD2 at 60fps lowest settings most of the time
the fact you struggle to run TF|2 tells me that your computer is somehow worse than mine (since mine runs it perfectly fine)
i play fine on an $850 gaming laptop from 2019
i play lowest settings as othereise it really heats but it can consistently run low medium graphics
My stratagems used number is always low because im an eagle strike fanatic

this laptop can have an issue where you wanna replace the fans every couple years if you have pets that shed or live somehwere with a lotta dust, but its pretty easy, i did it myself and i suck and hardware stuff like that

I actually quite like them on the geological survey too. Most of the sites have natural chokepoints that play well with mines
Gas Mines do have a kind of niche I can see in blocking off a direction over a longer period of time (gas pops and lingers, multiple mines keep it going for longer) but I don't expect it'll be as useful as just throwing Orbital Gas.

I don't think people know how to read the map.

- it's impossible to make any kind of informed strategy because randoms are basically just lemmings following the herd
a good portion of people just go to planets based on biomes they like, which is a mindset that's understandable but completely unfathomable to me

I do actually kinda like gas mines. Not enough that I'd bring them over the rest of my kit but they do an excellent job of delaying an arbitrary number of enemies for an extended time. Got a decent amount of value earlier on bot 10s to control the hordes of devastators
I like them cus they'll allow me to run a loadout with more mines and turn extraction into a hellhole for my teammayes

I maintain that gas mines are significantly more useful than any other mine type since it did an excellent job at actually delaying incoming enemies for an extended time. Unlike AP or AT mines where the only mines in the way get used up in second (AP) or hardly at all (AT because someone already destroyed the enemy with a RR) the gas cloud diverts enemies away, and by the time the first gas clouds have worn off the enemies circle back to trigger the next 2-3 mines
Plus being bright green makes them easier to spot and avoid for yourself

The Truth Enforcers warbond is pretty good if you ask me
Both the shotgun and smg are excellent primaries and the pistol packs a punch especially when fully charged
Whether the armour passive (Unflinching) is good or not will depend on who you’re fighting as it will be useful versus bot but have little use versus bugs
And the dead sprint booster while interesting I would consider it a niche choice
it's my top pick for fourth slot after the obligatory ones
though when a game has 3 obvious best picks to fill 4 slots I think the system needs a look

It'd be cooler if they were individual-side modifiers that you could have as many on or as little on as you wanted
Given that some of them are just straight up stat upgrades, it'd be more interesting progression-wise
If not kinda unbalanced
But they're already really not very balanced, so
the booster system needs some kinda overhaul, since 3 of 4 slots are perma taken up by basic stuff like, more health, more ammo, more stamina
I dont think they intended it to be a binary system
I’d like to have 2 slots per player
Experimental infusion should be where boosters are at - a fun moment of power you can build into.
Stamina/health/space are just awful designs. And if you get them baked in, other passives like muscle enhance take over
I often want to take Muscle Enhancer but as you say, stamina/health/space is essentially mandatory and whoever's got the 4th slot most often just likes to bring stim booster.
Yeah, muscle is really good, but the extra damage reducation, speed, and health regen that EXInfusion gives is such a useful On Demand boost i basically always lock that in as my booster
I'd like to see stuff that is build around - eg imagine a booster that adds a frag grenade effect to all your grenades.
Or one that makes every green strat come with a little bubble shield.

Volume of hits is what matters.
Stalwart at 1150 strips them fast.
The zombies are called ||The Voteless|| this game may be perfect
RR shots bounce off too (when the shield is down)
but explosive crossbow shots work??
You can pop them once you get rid fo the shields.
OPS kills the ships through their shields.
Gatlign Barrage and just shooting the shields a lot opens them up quite well.

You can see a ripple in some spots.
I think it goes fast there, but that might be me.
Eruptor pops the Walker shields in one or two shots.

It kills them faster.

Stalwart or MMG seem to be good into them for that reason.

Machine Gun Turret is a godsend as well.
The Laser cannon is good.
Autocannon is of course God's Perfect Child, as ever.
I would actively suggest against using Anti-Tank.
I might actually try Cluster against them next time.
Because the base shields care about volume of hits, so that might be a good way to open them up.

most of the content takes place in the city tiles, but there is some non-city terrain in my experience
you can find the buggy in the city, it's sorta fun to drive
No stratagem for it yet?
not that I know of. Can't find it in the list, but I can see it in the 'vehicle customization' section
mind you, it's pretty late where I am, so I can't say to having played more than 1-3 quick missions (one being the equivalent of the 'destroy bug nest/bot fab' missions so it was a hectic 10 mins as we struggle to figure out how to destroy the spawners)
The spawners still acted weird for us but we think we can chock it up to connection problems
It was weird to pump 2 RR shots into the door after bringing the shield down and watch them both bounce off, only to see a crossbow shot do the job

medium pen seems to kill the bigguns quickly with headtaps. A backup senator may be good for that
most med pen weapons sadly lack the speed/capacity that the squids really need
anyway Urban combat moment
probably a good idea to bring med pen weapons for the mediums and some kinda personal AT for the walkers
I use amr for the mediums and heavies then have a friend with stalwart for the lights and popping the shield of the heavies (tripods)
And I bring eagle cluster bombs in case we/I get overwhelmed anyway.

speaking of harvesters, where should i hit them with the rr? i saw a teammate onetap one in the eye but i needed two shots
the eye works, but going for the legs downs them in one shot from practice if you aim for a joint
despite the illuminate only having 5 units they seem much more fun to go up against than either of the two launch factions. now that it's been awhile i feel all of the escalation of freedom enemies besides the impaler didn't particularly add to their gameplay - i think simplicity works to the benefit of the squids here
they're missing a heavy unit in between the small fry and tripod, something like their analogue for the charger or hulk. if they have a similar armor level the addition of one would shift the focus towards anti-tank, which i actually wouldn't like
i enjoy that they feel very different to fight than the others, you prefer stuff like the hmg or autocannon for killing tripods instead of a dedicated rocket type

We actually know from leaks there are units that aren't here yet - there's a heavy melee called the Ghoul?, there's halo prophet style dudes, the harvesters can have multiplie tiers of armor.
So I expect they'll roll out more as the story unfolds

If we're getting OG illuminate units back we can also expect a cloaker guy with a glaive
my main issue with the terminids is that while the launch period heavy units have weak points they're really inconvenient to actually hit, the charger's butt is mostly covered at the top and the bile titan's tiny little arms get in the way of trying to shoot their abdomen
so you end up just wanting to erase them with rockets instead of going through all the trouble
They took way too much ammo to the weak points
How they coded it was I think they had less armor there, but still didn't take full damage from stuff
...unless it was explosive
The ghoul visually looks too be more of a Berserker class enemy
i haven't been keeping up with leaks myself, so
I suspect the challenge will be him coming barreling through the voteless

I imagine it'll likely be ballistic shield but weaker but can recharge
if it functions like the one in HD1 it will work the same as the normal energy shield but have a much higher durability and only in the direction you're facing

I feel like you get a pretty respectable amount even at higher levels. I've been doing 5-6 the past couple of days to reacclimate to the game after a break, and I think I went up ~70-100 sc a day, without really 'farming' them but just making sure to check POI
also holy shit yes I've been waiting for that anti-tank emplacement to return. Thing was rather meta in HD1's defence missions
looks like allies behind you can shoot through it and it's a lot wider
farming them with a squad you could probably get like one warbond per day

If you bring 3+ people to dedicated farming you can power-scavenge for SC very quickly at low levels. Otherwise you can just play at like diff 7-8 and take the minor detours to hit POIs every chance you get and you'll keep accruing decent numbers

deviations in attention from the slides are considered treason
the spray and pray did alright against the larger groups, in my experience
they might if you mostly get headshots

had a 4 person squad that dropped to 2 throughout the mission with people suddenly dropping out, their diver running in place. Surge in playercount prolly causing some issues/new files having 'oopsie' moments and crashing on some systems
also, if you're a lover of the Stalwart, now is your time to shine.

was the best primary against Illuminate in 1, one of the best choices of support weapons against them in 2
