#Helldivers 2: For Managed Democracy!
1 messages Ā· Page 49 of 1
keep me posted on how this goes, i've been wondering lately if i'd enjoy having smokes as a way to spice up my bot loadout
Nier Automata is 1000% worth a play sometime. One of the most fun games to contemplate on how people create meaning in their lives i've ever played.
Also will make you fucking cry
Whaaaat noooo nier automata is just about cute anime robots teehee~
You can't fool me the fanmade music video prepped me for a tragedy
In like a good way
It has some very satisfying character arcs lol
terminid meteor ships
š i'm more of a "hide my face in the emil head" type
The other is for relationship goals
Tibit is secure
gonna be in HA divin' (currently doing dif4)
Just unlocked the Dominator and I'm really enjoying it. In some respects it feels like a straight upgrade to the regular punisher, though it's slower to react to things right up in your face
0397-8522
Gonna be honest I hate desert planets
But this one might be a chance to spot a walker
(:
I'm curious to see what would happen if we managed this major order and take out the automatons
Probably just temporary but still
ive seen some story spoilers
we very much are in the prologue of the story theyve planned lmao
Yeah weāre still waiting on the return of the squids so I expect weāve yet to see any of the actually big story beats
My current theory is they are going to launch an attack on cyberstanās sector from beyond the frontier
1724-8431
I picked up a randoās and loved it, seems like a great fun
anyone need another?
8292-3835
work progressing on the berserker, really happy with how the arm turned out
<@&1206091872716595200> more soldiers for the cause
Fembois? NO! I'M HERE FOR FEMBOTS
Another way to kill fabs that I learned recently:
EATs to the vent also work.
At least from far away with a relatively flat angle.
In case anyone else didn't know that yet.
is there a problem EATS can't solve
if there is I don't wanna hear it, thats treason
This also true for Quasar Cannons
Reloading >:D #sunsjustwannakillbots
EATs is so damn good
Yeah, right now I know that
Autocannon (if the shot's angled right), Quasar (just aim at the low edge) and EATs can do it.
Almost certainly this means that RR can do it too.
Gotta try GL too, tbh.
Plus, resupply in the vent also does it, since that's a hellpod.
GL can absolutely kill fabs
Gives us a decent amount of flexibility, I think. Sure, grenades and airstrikes or similar are still the easiest way, but we're not actually forced to bring those, necessarily.
i think autocannon is easier than nades tbh. you can do it from insane ranges
I mean if you want range nothing really beats the quasar
Autocannon is only easy at significant distance, ime. Once I'm relatively close, it doesn't want to work.
Quasar? Nah, that's a Sun Shooter
Quasar does have a bit of a minimum range / the angle can't be too steep, but much easier than AC.
Gotta hit the "top" of the vent flap
yeah with AC you riccochet the shot in via the vent flap
ive sniped fabs from like 200+ meters with AC
Nah, you just have to be at equal or greater elevation to hit the interior of the vent
the autocannon is a type of sniper if youāre cool about it
Again, at long range I've found it easy, but as soon as I'm within... 30ish meters, I've yet to manage with the AC.
again, shoot the vent flap
Odd, I've literally never had an issue.
its guaranteed kill
Yes, I've tried that - though previously I was told to hit the middle of the vent, so that's probably it.
Yeah, you've got to hit closer to the top in order to kill it within about 30m
Still, grenades are the easiest way to do it once you're right there, together with stratagems.
Which is all I'm saying, really.
??? Wild.
nah i run impacts, i can get them in the vents but it sometimes takes a few tries
eagle airstriking the fabs is a mainstay but sometimes i want to save those
I mean, Strats, yes, 'nades? I might be out of practice (#impactpilled) but there's a serious chance of it bouncing
My personal ease list is support weapon if you got an angle, stratagems if within 70m then I do a dive toss, then grenade if I need to be closer than 30m and out of everything
#quasarpilledbasekiller
Yeah, guess it's a tad harder with impacts. Though I'm pretty consistent with those too.
The grenade pistol will be a godsend for em
I wish we had a manual mortar
HD2 Reddit: We have a manual mortar at home.
https://www.rxddit.com/r/Helldivers/comments/1bx4458/primetime_ballistic_shield_gameplay/
Oh yes it can survive several direct shots from a rocket
Man, Hellmire is in trouble over in Terminid Space.
Hellmire knows what it did.
i am soooooo excited for grenade pistol
tonight i tested smoke nades vs bot 9s btw
it felt good?
i also tested arc thrower and it was hiiiiiiiiilllllaaarrrrriiiioooouuuuuussssss
Like the thermite grenades
i wonder if it's secretly someone's baby
because if they had nerfed it by 40% dps and the range and given it the stagger it would kind of be mid
Arc thrower stagger is wild now
but the nerf was only 20%
Yeah it unironically needs it
cuz they removed the fast charge but buffed the base charge
which i didn't realize initially
so i thought they just wayyyyy overnerfed the dps
The damage nerf and RoF fix really hit it hard, and then losing 15 meters of range
And itās still good
yeah, i think the stagger is what saves it now
though the OTHER thing i tried the last few days vs bots is just running no support weapon
it's Just Good
It works sometimes
TBH less crazy than it sounds!
on blitzes specifically i think it might be optimal?
Having so many strikes is big
EAT gamin
i don't know about other modes
sometimes it's nicer to just drop a million eagles on them
yeah for blitzes you can afford to frontload all your power within the first 7 minutes
I think it's gonna be even better when we get the new warbond, having AT grenades will be great
i have started running up to the enemy spawns at extract to make sure the 380 placement is extra precise and about 70% of the time it's really good
As well as a portable flak gun
I really like the GL for blitzes
Since it lets you stay very mobile and allows you to pop fabs/nests well
lol i've also taken to throwing resupps at bot fabs now
esp if i'm good on ammo and stims and won't need it but there's a light base?
yeet
*only on blitzes
i'm excited for the grenade pistol
slightly nervous to lose the redeemer vs fucking berserkers
it reloads so fast and kills so fast
ALSO the light armor currently in the warbond shop with 50% explosive resist is cracked vs bots and i highly recommend anyone reading this with the spare SC to pick it up
Yeah grenade pistol is gonna be ace
I barely use my secondary so Iām pretty willing to go for a utility pick
Same
i wonder if we'll get new stratagems with the warbond
i haven't been keeping track of leaks in a serious manner, but i also haven't heard anything about the next batch of strats
My guess is no
Last time they released them 2 weeks after the warbond with little warning
We seem to get a stratagem or two every month or so, but they've never been released alongside a warbond yeah
Iām guessing that will remain the case with a staggered warbond then strategem schedule
There are so many leaked strats though, it could be so many things
Yeah
Hoping for missile silo
My gut feeling is missile silo and air burst rocket
But I have no particular evidence for that
Mm got most kills with ballistic shield and no support weapon
Ballistic shield is going to be fantastic with defender/grenade pistol post-patch
Assuming grenade pistol is one handed
My feeling is Airburst and AA-Eagle.
Galactic war not going your way? Simply break the game and win!
Better summary/proof here: https://youtu.be/iFWIrA062Mk
More info here: https://old.reddit.com/r/Helldivers/comments/1bsdy3u/lets_talk_about_patrols_part_2_an_in_depth/
ohhhhh this makes so much sense
i don't think it's necessary and i don't really want to do it
but
there IS a reason to kill fabs and bug holes
tldw:
- everyone has a 75m bubble around them. Any overlapping bubbles are considered the same "group" of players for spawning patrols near
- patrols can't spawn inside your 75m bubble
- patrols either spawn on a point between you and a fab/bug hole, OR 10m outside the nearest map edge if all fabs/bug holes are destroyed
Thus, if you destroy all fabs/bug holes, make a player group on extract, and position one person to extend their bubble 10m outside the map border (65m from map edge), you can invalidate the only spawn criteria for enemies and have a peaceful extract
I hope they patch this cuz that's realllllllly not fun lol
15 Billion dead fascists
What a time to be alive
Also we need the tato back
(Lazer smg)
Defender riot shield really warps your playstyle a lot. You have to focus rocket devs very quickly or you lose your build's main value. I'm not sure how much i like it especially because it suffers vs walkers. Hm.
Grenade pistol will probably make it a lot better when you can just slap striders and you have a lot more ammo
How is the mech doing these days? I don't see many people take it and then only in the extermination missions where you're in a really tiny arena
a lot less likely to die from being clipped by a devastator
since it turns out rocket damage was getting applied multiple times
they fixed that
It's great vs bugs especially
You have to learn the yolo aim for the rockets though
It's very "feel" based
I personally always bring it on bug missions in case of dropping near a shrieker nest.
One mech can level the nest and clear hordes
yeah rockets are highly applicable to bugs as are the gatlings
being able to solo a heavy nest without many other strats, or not devoting as many slots as the gl+jetpack+light armor combo is reaaaaal nice
Soon as we get the mech with quad 40mm we'll be able to play mechwarrior
"Do i want the rifleman or the urbie..."
i already want to poptart with the quasar
I'll have to give it a try once this bot campaign push is done then, I'm really been avoiding bugs and this has been an excuse because I've found them comparatively very frustrating to fight
tbh bugs aren't as much of a headache once you have a medium armor pen weapon you like
or a flamethrower
still waiting for the Flamethrower + cannon mech
Ooooh I hadn't realized they were mostly medium armored, I actually just got the Dominator so I guess I'll have to give that a go
hive guards, brood commanders, bile spewers, and shriekers have medium armor
Chargers are still gonna take support weapons or explosives to bring down
Me omw to play a vapor eagle in lancer
Veagle is the most anime mech in battletech
Including the LAMs
mama mia
I hope you're looking forwards to inverted controls!
Cuz' that's what we're getting
I'm certainly not
i will adapt i got what it takes
They spent all that time on bugs and then looked over to my favorite faction and went "what if we speedrun your content"
Built Different
(within patriotic parameters)
The illuminates making you plug your keyboard and mouse in to different USB slots like Psycho Mantis
I will single-handedly start a rebellion on Cyberstan
Naw, we still haven't even gotten to the surprise liberation of cyberstan that I feel has to be the climax of this
I can honestly seem them pulling having the galaxy map zoom out a little to reveal how fucked super earth really is
The western war was a diversion to conceal the automatons' crack team of socialist spec-ops infiltrating Cyberstan's security aparatus
Giving me hope
The Automatons are not gonna be wiped out
My prediction is map expansion, Illuminate invasion, TCS failure, automaton stealth fleet arriving at Cyberstan
They're Automatons, they could've built a massive fleet and just sent it coasting at Cyberstan 50 years ago and all this has been a diversion
i just realised helldivers 2 is an mmo
š¤ You know, you're not wrong
Imagine my framrate with 30+ helldivers all calling in 500kg bombs
Imagine your freedomrate
"Democracy officer, his freedoms per second are way too high!"
"He can't fucking see"
don't have to, i played planetside
it gave me my profile picture and about 5000 hours of playtime, so i'm happy
so, a destiny-type game?
Every game is an "mmo", or rather, they've all incorporated mmo elements

counterpoint: roguelikes and deckbuilders
#helldivers2 #helldivers #fyp #gaming #funny #helldivers2gameplay #helldivers2game
Every game is a deckbuilder if you don't think about it
I never think
The mech is fine against bots now I've used it a few times at diff 7 and it tanks well even against rocket devs, it's not as effective as bugs as the mg can't pierce striders and it takes a second to shred medium enemies so you usually run out of ammo quickly. It can take roughly 7 shots from rockets, bruiser hulks, mines, etc but everything else seems to do neglible damage
Also trying to destroy fabs with the rocket is very annoying
as soon as i unlock it i'm going to use it immediately just for the sheer badassery of a Mech
I try to always bring it to bugs
Being able to solo clear a heavy nest always feels good
And if you wear heavy armor it mitigates the slowness as I believe a mech is as fast as a sprinting helldiver despite looking slow
While it's very much Not For Me, I always appreciate having a mech user on team
i wear heavy armor so this is good
as an average mecha fan i am legally and morally obligated to pick the mech
I'm on the fence with bots for it, but being able to charge headfirst into a jammer or AA without fear is great since you don't need stratagems
bringing in the 500kg, eagle cluster, Autocannon and Mech
I know why it's a bad idea, but I still want a mech that's laser cannon / quasar cannon
Endless reserves!
I still want an armored core/Fencer mech that has dash boosters and a melee weapon with a tower shield
Or a dodge roll exoskeleton or jetboosters and that let you dash step and make it dark souls
I honestly just want one where both weapons can break Striders
A mech on a team is nice
Cuz it's something you can rally around
It's a mobile hard point for the squad
Empty magazines and need to heal? Go run behind the mech and formulate your plan
one of its other vs bots is serviing as a distraction and additional health, even out of ammo you can leave it in a narrow gap or infront of a patrol and bots will attack it rather than walk around, bots will focus on it rather than you
like amko says its also fantastic moveable cover, and you can jump out and use your own mech as cover to throw down stratagems
i want a fastmech for moving quickly over terrain wheels cant cover, and an anti air/anti heavy laser mech ballanced by both weapons being quasers, so its SO slow against infantry
Oh shit, ride back, that's a blast from the past
Fast power armor that works like a mech would also be sick
Give me a fast power armor powered by AA batteries but makes me feel like a speed demon
I am not liable if I step on a teammate that has decided to use me for cover
that's a weird looking Caliban
One good thing about a Sunday-Wednesday work week is the content drops happen on my Saturday
The BR got me kinda hype ngl
Similar with my weird fucky 2 on 2 off 1 long day schedule
i spent all my super dollars on buying heavy armor so i won't be able to buy the back prolly unless i do a bunch of farming
i'm probably going to be doing farming later today for that reason
Got a few days for trivial berrypicking
I have 2000+
I play a lot

i have 16 hours so far
What you got left amko?
Oh I meant achievements but nah I getchu
Idk I dont look at cheevos
I have 8 so far from a singular session
Fair fair. And God I feel the harder we push back the automatons the harder Joel rubs his hands and plots
This number does not represent my total amount of time playing NV, I played it a LOT on PS3 and on a different steam account
i feel like with how the map is looking rn
we are going to be witnessing a MAJOR reversal
because otherwise we are just going to like
win?
I think I only have like 150 too
New Vegas is my Formative Gaming Experience
at this pace we will absolutely drive the automatons off the map
do you know how the galactic war worked in the last game
no
you push the borgs/bugs/squids back to their homeworld and they're gone until a new war starts
or they push super earth back to super earth
and if you cant defend super earth you lose the campaign
I doubt we're gonna have a war end so early
They're gonna do something so we can have all three factions at once
some kind of reversal is going to happen i think
For now...
this major order will be completed
yea
for now
inb4 they're like necrons and have underground vaults full of robots ready to start the war again
I can't help but imagine the map zooms out a little and it's like that horror tyranid scene
that would be cool
Just basically "well done you chipped a tooth on the behemoth".
The map is going to expand and the Bots are going to be a giant wedge pointed towards Cyberstan
And the Reclamation will begin
And the Illuminate will invade
god i hope the siege tank comes back
And the TCS will fail
that thing is literally a terminator H-K tank
Scariest thing about the siege Mech was that there is a very human mind directing this mass of metal and gun
also the Hive Lord and Great Eye
Deep inside there is a man
karan s'jet if she wasnt messing around
there's dead hivelord corpses lying around bug planets too
When did we start bolting crews into their tanks
you just said it's scary that there's a guy inside it
and that that makes it a mech not a tank
i really doubt they have a trooper in the tank tbh
im guessing it's just like
they stick an automaton brain in there
i see no hatch for them to get in and out of
More than it's a gigantic machine with massive guns but it is the "body" of a human mind directing all of it, it's not a vehicle, it's them
like, uh, a machine spirit from 40k (see: AI)
That and the thermite are my big takes from the new warbond
Aww, that was nice
randos who brougth autocannon
and team reloaded me all the time
Courtsey bow is the most important part of that bond
The fact the squat is a victory pose and not and emote is a crime
Let me squat to assert dominance as a fabricator explodes
I just can't wait to have an actual good battle rifle
Muaahahah, i love seeing my kills being higher than the total of everyone elses
Just ignore the friendly fire damage, hellbomb happened.
saving up for Expanded Weapons bay is going well
got 90 common samples, so i just need 40 more rare and 7 of the purple ones
their total is 349
ran a quick mission on Durgen just to have been there
unsure if it'll already be liberated by the time i show up later
<@&1206091872716595200> divers in chat
"I was there"
"Like once"
"BUT I was there"
hey
i was on Malevelon once too
I was running tibit, jungle planets are horrible
played it on my Brothers account cause he had to go do something and he was at the extract
i only died once
and we managed to extract
literally had no idea what i was doing but i managed
IT STILL COUNTS
I love the creek becoming this symbol
What was the necessity for the Cape?
i don't think there was a requirement
i just joined in like the day after it was given to people
i think everyone who played got it
iirc
Man these devs are nuts
?
I think everyone gets it no matter what
Just like producing so much so regularly, engaging super well, having regular item outputs, embracing player memes like the creek becoming this big thing and playing in it
yeah from what i saw there wasn't a requirement
i don't have it tho
Considering my other four player vs ai game before this was darktide the difference in support between the games is massive
yeah
it's a really impressive thing
I've been enjoying Alexus's posts over on the main discord, where he talks about balance and why
(use the From:Alexus | bringer of balance)
Oh that's good to hear
Wierd, it was supposed to roll out to everybody
Eg, his current take on Team-reloads.
"I'd say that the assisted reload is in line with our design philosophy. The cost is great, but you turn into a rocket turret for a moment. The biggest issue I see with it is ammo, you just spend it in seconds, that's not even worth the effort sometimes. That's difficult thing to solve, and we have some ideas how to do that, but it's not the most urgent thing at the moment
On the other hand, it's fine if some mechanics are there just for lulz and roleplay"
I think they joined after it rolled out so it couldn't roll out to them
Honestly, other than the backpack awkwardness (which has pros and cons in it's current state), i thin kteam reloads are pretty healthy
i bought the game on the 3rd
the ammo is an issue ,but you cget to Wreak So Much Shit
so i think i just barely missed the cutoff
Or this comment in regardess to the Slugger damage nerf, which is the sort of thinking i like to see from devs
Double my TTK daddy
Yeah
I've been wearing it because i just really enjoy fighting on the Creek
spoopy blue jungle is a great time
But it'll be hard to replace the Mantle of True Citizenship for me
i'm definitely considering upgrading to become a super citizen rn
games just super fun
supporting it more would be good
It's genuinely impressive how fun it is from the word go
and how fun it stays
I am nearly 350 hours in >.> and like it hanst got boring at all
The mission/op structure is real comfy too
Agreed
The procedural generation is incredibly impressive too, the maps are always very natural feeling, while being interesting to fight on.
The use of PoIs and bases as fixed arenas is ingenious.
And the build crafting in this game is satisfyingly deep without being obnoxious - you have a basic set of goals to meet with a build
(Chaff, heavies, bases - how do you solve these?) And a wealth of ways to tackle it. Which expands dramatically when you're with a team.
I wonder if this Thermite grenade is gonna make Engineering Kit more competitive with Medical Kit
Impact grenades are wonderful but the TR-117 armor is just a huge increase to survivability for me
if I can chuck a grenade at a hulk and kill it in one or two hits, I'd say yeah
being able to spawn with AT capability is big
Yeah
Going from 4 to 6 isn't a huge deal for some grenades
But if the Thermite is an efficient AT options, killing a Charger and Hulk in 2, then being able to kill 3 in one spawn is a massive death spiral stopper
Most likely
look, if there are in fact more bots to liberate, I'm all for it
many guesses are on the cyberstan front being opened
or the illuminate showing up
though I'd say it's most likely the bugs get planted on planets closer to SE invade
hopefully we see a new bug or two
like a 50 30 20 split of likelihood
50 bugs
30 cyberstand
20 illuminate
oh no, bugs on mars
we've had 2 new bots, only 1 new bug
so
I have to wonder if they'll balance that out

I already know the other bug they'll add and I'd prefer them not to yet :v
"babe, would you still love me if i was a worm?"
the impossible thing that i want the MOST out of HD2 is a multi-faction planet fight
bugs, bots, helldivers, and illuminate all duking it out
Watch the bugs actually evolve a way to travel planets
And Super Earths entire oil operation just goes tits up
Instead of using it to invade further, they just fucking leave
<@&1206091872716595200> anyone around? (activity 1)
We have to launch campaigns just to force them back into our space
And keep them from escaping
We're holding onto Hellmire by the skin of our teeth.
One of the greatest glitches of all time š«” Credit: u/MiddleMix1195 #helldivers #helldivers2 #helldivers2gameplay #helldivers2fyp #helldivers2multiplayer
probably a good thing that some of the patriotic Helldivers disobeyed the orders of Super Earth and didn't all flood the Automaton front
we need people defending against the bugs
i wish we could add the super to any title
i wanna be a super space cadet
would be fun
I'll hop on the mire after lunch
I think super private would be fun
I like we need to be like rank 100+ to be considered a regular private
Super Death Captain
In the meantime, wanted to ask the Spear Enthusiasts in the chat if it's got any neat breakpoints
I've been messing around with it but can't seem to figure out any unique utility it has beyond "slightly farther fabricator sniping"
we're so bloody close y'all
until they fix the spear lockon I'm not using it
lets goooooo
Pretty sure I nailed a Hulk with it the other day and it shrugged it off
literally half the playerbase is on that one planet
more than that actually
fully 2 thirds at least
wait what
?
Spear needs to be buffed
Omicron was a mistake
They are trapped on that hive
God it's hilarious how badly we got smacked by the bugs the moment we touched their home sectors
poor fuckers
Remember the Hellmire 26
i did not realize that Severin was the only sector the automatons were currently holding
they're barely holding it, they only have durgen
Theyāre almost gone
7319-2071
yeah they are getting FUCKED
unfortunately that does mean the bugs are totally fucking us
because everyone is over in Severin
we're about to lose Mirin, though we have Draco at a good 39% at least
It's a problem that hellmire is our bottleneck
cause no one wants to go there lol
i mean 4 sectors still isn't a lot
they should add termanid allied humans from the civilians left on termanid seeded worlds
humans who work out it was actually really simple to just live with termanids
and are like "oh this is way better than super earth"
No everyone wanted to malevelon, no one wants hellmire :v
I love Hellmire
It is a jump packs paradise because the firenados don't go into high ground like rocks
It literally is Hell
I want it to suck more
no I mean malevelon 2 as in āuseless planet weāll never take until thereās a major orderā
I donāt think it has any supply lines at all
Just like malevelon
So as per chat I tried to vary it up on the automatons and it went pretty well!
what is up with the supply lines shit anyway
I guess I hadnāt realized you could shoot devastators to death with some primaries tbh
i heard about it but i have no idea how it is relevant
A classic image
it affects what planets we can get to and how fast
and we can't fucking see it in game
Itās how we can attack and what planets they can attack
which is A Design Decision
enable supply lines in the top right of the map
"some"
under the zoom button
More like All
I am concerned by the way this guy is leaning out of his aircraft
Like, devastators only have medium armor on their torso but everything else is light
They can be killed with anything but people act like they're bulletproof
Its puzzling
but we do have supplies coming into Estanu and Crimsica
Also joel totally isn't putting a finger on the scale of durgen :v
blue is progress red is playercount
they're annoying because heavy devs can be hard to snipe the heads off of and rocket devs have a lot of damage and aim punch
i don't get it
Shoot the rocket pods for the rocket devastators
I love that there's less that 2% of players over in bug areas
Yes, everyone in the reddit acts like you need to one shot Devs or you die instantly or something
The progress stayed somewhat consistent despite changing player count
They normally are destroyed but they do damage to them
Medium pen is nice for devs but not even close to necessary
ah, so despite increase in players which should increase progress, the progress has been more linear
yes
I mostly kill them with light armor pen weapons like the punisher or sickle
i see
Or rather, the drop in players should have lowered progress but it didn't
oh yeah
that is a MASSIVE drop in players there with no appreciable effect on the progress of liberation
I 100% thought it was necessary lol
you can just headshot devs, their face is light armor
It's really not, it's the brute force way to deal with them but the best way is just precision
With the punisher you can stagger them and open up a clear shot to just pump their gut with lead
The head and the unarmored tummy are weak spots
The sickle is absurdly good at this because no recoil you just walk the shots onto their face and the high fire rate basically guarantees a kill
I for one appreciate how accessible automaton weakpoints are.
So that's not joel that's the scaling at work
This isn't hard confirmed but data shows that they have implemented liberation progress scaling vs total player count
So as the player count goes up the effect of each player is reduced and vice versa which is why the progress looks so smooth because while the total player count has risen or lowered the % of the playerbase has stayed consistent
oh thats nasty i love it
so it really DOES matter what gets focused on
more than just how many people are there
Yeah
Yeah Helldivers.io has a section that explains it better
https://helldivers.io/
They don't want to have the actions of people be meaningless during low activity hours
So it scales
going to do a bit more farming for super credits
at 215 atm
doing it on durgen to help out

even if i am doing low level missions for farming purposes, every bit counts
iām almost hoping they make it back to Meridia. Miss fighting bugs in the jungles.
It also makes it much simpler for them to plan how hard and how long liberation is since they have consistent output from the playerbase without huge spikes or dips
so close
illuminate about to come in with that steel chair
Nah, the cloaked fleets will go outside the edge of Super Earthās known space and take Cyberstan
<@&1206091872716595200> get in loosers, we're going Helldiving.

I'll make it 4 then
We arent voxing, or at least, i'm not @rotund marten
but it looks like everyone else is?
actually i think we have 4, so you will need to start a new group
oh if you're with the 3 in vc then yeah
wanna hop in HORUS misc?
Me?
misc
You, misc and alex would be anotehr crew
but you're welcome to join
Liberation progress scales with percentage of playerbase on a planet
The graph itself is tracking the wrong thing; if you just had it based on raw player count, every time NA went to bed the rest of the world would basically be watching every operation fail
yeah
that makes sense
me and my singleplayer looting missions are contributing to the percentage
Yeah, the normal way would be cooler but i like the inclusivity
Sometimes you get the ultra late night koreans
I've never seen any jp usernames
But a few korean ones
For Democracy!
'
:D
all gooped up
?
no bugs here
Or botting
WE DID IT
i did my part last night!
will they have some cutscene
would be cool
nicee
ah makes sense
yeah the game is one month old and heldivers 1 didnt have them
hd1 didn't really work the same as this does
also i read that hd1 was a bit different
hd1 was purely liberation and decay and galactic wars were fairly quick
guess we'll see!
yeah tho there was some lore. like how they lost the defense of earth and so went got a new earth
extracting now!
LETS GOOOOOO
only 92????
MANAGED DEMOCRACY IN ACTION
because
final mission on Durgen was hella lucrative
No more bots only bugs
got 9 samples and 50 super credits or smthn
beautiful
almost certainly
new bug mutations?
or hoping it's the illuminate show up
Maybe the illuminate
bug / illegal broadcaster alliance
Oh
this is...
the order IS done, this was done in post
Oh
yayy more bots to fight
looks like this is the leadup to something that may happen in the future
so we're really really going to get destroyed for this then
Direct cyberstan invasion.
We are in the "learning phase" after all
Call me an idiot but I love the moment of victory before everything goes so so wrong.
I want to see just
We're about to be red wedding'd
where is this statistic from?
like actually just massive
give me a 40k titan that can only be killed with artillery and airstrikes
is it an official site or what?
not official but it's something you can see in the code iirc
This is when they bring back the dogs from HD1 en masse
No absolutely not
we already have hunters
I will fucking riot
No not the dogs
The bugs don't know what's about to hit them
Considering that one planet has 11% and another 7% of the playerbase, they're about to get ran for everything they got
Now we wait for the shoe to drop
šØ
well
Peace, obviously

i guess i'm on bug duty now
considering the time window, we'll probably see a big reveal tomorrow
give the bugs hell for a day or two before we inevitably start detecting slipspace ruptures in the west at -1000% per hour
it was very much intended to finish late sunday(eu time)
i have only fought the bugs like two times so far
so i am going to have to learn i guess
it is late on sunday eu time
So bugs like stuff that can deal with crowds or heavy armour, so EATS and a shotgun, arc thrower with a missile eagle or orbital railgun
Later, eu sunday time
aliens are planning a sneak attack during the eclipse
source: i am swedish
generally more stratagems are good against bugs but less weapons are good against bugs
500kg bombs are importoant for the bile titans
precision weapons especially fall in favor of immediate close range damage
way more important for bugs than bots
the airburst bombs are great for clearing hordes of bugs, and your own teammates
(I know, that's why I said it :v)
though this is kind of weighted towards getting owned by a stalker so you can definitely survive with one aside from that case
Note, I always find clearing nests a lot harder than clearing buildings
God
On higher difficulties you can have like 20 bug holes in one nest, while even the heaviest bot base has like what, 3 fabricators?
bug holes are hard because there's just more of them so you can't just yeet a 500 at a base
Air strike keep winning
so it means you have to get in there with the moshpit
just need to be very strategic with your strike path
Grenade launchers are great for clearing groups of bugs and then closing bug holes. You just have to worry about ammo
grenade launcher supply backpack is just so comfy
holy crap we did it
Autocannon also good vs bugs, can also close bugs, and its good vs all the mediums, just less agile than the GL
we'll never see them again
As always there's never any consequences to our actions
Imagine if they do this and then they just leave it like this forever
i am so sad that i'm on a 4 day business trip in a few hours and will miss The Consequencesā¢ļø
abandon development on the game and leave it with only three bug planets
with no new updates
after the warbond drops
Noooo
I can't get on soon, are there actually no more bot planets
Unqualified victory super earth eternal
welp
Victory for me who doesn't like bots
time for something "unforseen" to happen
i do not like fighting bugs
this sucks
i really don't get how people enjoy this more than automatons
bugs are awesome
they run at you and you spray them down with a machine gun
then you get cut down by a fucking hunter
both automatons and bugs have their own brand of fucked up bullshit that annoys the hell out of you
what annoys me isn't the enemies
Is there a new major order?
its the random teammates
what the hell do i do about the big ones that run at you
my bullets are just bouncing off
eat-17 to the head
i don't have whatever eat17 is
well we do have a swath of bug planets to go
got a recoilless?
Itās the expandable anti tank support weapon
Explosive rounds to the exposed backportion, air strikes, fire...
i have an autocannon
Itās one of the first ones you unlock
so if the bots are gone for more than a day we at least have something to do
Yeah the oneoff shoulder rocket
Then you should be able to unlock the EAT
Auto cannon kills a Charger in about 3 shots to the butt
the only bug thing AC cannot kill is Bile titan
yeah
or flamethower
i just full auto into its butt, so i don't count the shells š
I would say if your issue is chargers use the Recoilless
I'm liking the Laser cannon myself.
I mean EAT, Recoilless and Quasar can all one shot them
Just because of sheer sustainability.
I am a certified recoilless rifle lover because killing chargers with it is maybe the most satisfying thing in the game
i wonder how long the war gaps were in hd1
ok yeah i am just not going to play any actual missions like this
i'm going back to farming super credits
That's giving up insanely fast
Whatās wrong with the missions?
its your prerogative but I wouldn't dismiss half the game (or maybe 1/3 of the game if we get the illuminate soon)
People are offering valid suggestions and just hit with "this is stupid actually"
you can take much more aggressive positions against bugs since they mostly don't have ranged weapons
Did we win
but you will need more horde clear imo
we did
I feel like these first two months have actually been a preamble to the real galactic war
afaik we aren't actually officially in the second galactic war
Sorry, whatās the problem?
Equip the punisher
Wear light armor
Throw grenades
Arc thrower and falmethrower also v. good into bugs
Identify status applicators for target priority
the flamer is great
It flames and wurfs things and makes ahahahaha noises.
I use breaker incendiary, impact grenades, cluster, rover, quasar or eats, and air strike or rail cannon or a different support if I chose eats
personally dont like quasar against chargers
Breaker Incendiary is brutal now
the chargeup is too slow
recoilless has no chargeup and it's reload is about as fast as waiting for the quasar cooldown
its usable but tricky
gotta do it from range or you're relying on some pretty narrow windows
recoilless reload
I mean there is the big difference that you can do other stuff while the quasar is cooling down- yah
just tossing EATs every 70 seconds is like having a quasar without a chargeup
Bugs do love making great use of that 3 second windup
the real benefit imo of the quasar is that you dont need to target priority as hard
if there's a bug you hate, like an annoying brood commander or stalker
you can bap them with it
I honestly prefer the chargeup to the RR's reload
Fuck you random Hunter- QUASAR CANNON GO
same time, but you can move at the cost of it being front loaded
but with an RR you need to like, pick your targets because you only get 6 shots per resupply
6 shots is usually enough to deal with big targets like chargers or annoying spewers
but
yeah I'm more talking the act of firing it itself
everything past that is just more of a bonus
I can use it in split second situations
there have been times I've seen a charger charging me so I whip out the recoilless and kill it and it slides to a stop infront of me
Mother of liberty
I cant find it anywhere
Very in character for them
I remember it looking like ||A cyborg-ized flood from halo||
What are they?
bugs
Ok so now theyāre dropping the pretenses
Weāre just going to secure oil fields
(The oil fields are bugs)
going to take a break for a bit
Imagine if we somehow manager to wipe out bugs and there's just no missions for a day
š
I feel like if that happens arrowhead has a big emergency button to unliberate a bunch of planets
Woah...since when was the goop after the mission a thing?
where my medals for doing the major order at
War is good for the super Earth economy, how can it be bad?
They're usually a bit delayed for big ones like this
ah ok
We've completed a second major order before getting the reward for the first one once lmao
Ah shit
I just realized I never got to fight the gunships or Walking Foundries
I never encountered them
Gone forever now, sorry.
Hopefully the bots are back by tomorrow when I can play again

Really brave of the devs to permantly remove content
following in the shoes of destiny
destiny 2 pilled
lmao
They did it with HD1, didn't they?
New enemy is terminid fabricator striders where the pilot is a scavenger
With HD1 the factions respawn after a bit I think
just a bot gunship with a shrieker pilot
I'm very excited to see the heavy flyers in the bug front
This but unironically (in the context of helldivers 2)
I hope it's like a giant Quetzalcoatl or a giant spore filled blimp
Imagine just fighting and it suddenly becomes dark then you realize it's just a shadow above you
In HD1 the factions reset with every new war and wars lasted around a week or so
Dang that's kind of long
Tbf once a faction gets wiped that meant you were getting close to the end as everyone then dog piled the remaining 2 factions
Also a week might be overstating it I havenāt played in a while
We're gonna have to deal with the creekers again once everything resets lol
I just thought to myself
Helldivers 2 has got to have one of the most unique new player experiences I've seen in a live service game
Like, Let me give an example.
We made them pay for the creek
Say you started playing destiny 2 today. You'd go through a scripted campaign designed by professional game designers with a ok ish plot
huh just noticed we got rid of all the robots for the moment.. well that was fast
Say you started playing helldivers 2 today. You just missed us driving an entire faction out of the galaxy and 2 months worth of in game history
Goddamn right Iāll be right back at the creek
In this video we will cover the entire mechanics of the Factory Strider. How/Where to find them. And every support weapon that can kill them. I tried to cover everything, and now that you know this about factory striders, you can go out and easily beat them. #helldivers2

It's weird to think about for me because I was here from the beginning
I saw the first liberation of heeth and angel's venture
I started a week after launch when tbe major order was defending malevelon creek and armor was broke
Such a hell scape to be thrown into
You can take a diver out of the creek, but you can never take the creek out of a diver
I never stayed long enough because I only go where the MO tells me to go
It was such a brutal experience when I first started playing
It's also cool seeing how far we've come in two months and the plethora of new stuff we're waiting for
We have another premium warbond on the way
I am kinda sad we won't be able to use the anti air rockets vs the gunships for a bit
Not bots I tell you what
they be shimmering
metal gear
Ohhh
just wondering, have any of you else gotten your medals from the previos major order?
Those are one of the terrain features for planets with the lava blasts hazard
They'll be delivered later on, as usual
major orders like this that have a fuckload of players to be rewarded takes up to a few days yeah
Itās the like āvolcano forestā biome planet
can you delay it to thursday high command i'm at the medal cap :(
ah fellow medal saver
