They're hellish even with the bone blades
😩
oh actually
i saw the 2nd try to attack the first but i think it was just out of range
so it did work? but it still went for me
unlucky
It took me like a dozen attempts the last time I did it
oh yeah those guys are ridiculous
there are a lot of easier bosses
i've never managed to get bone blades to work either
Maria is easier than them
i agree
maria gave me room to breathe
i know I'm panic rolling a lot with these guys but
argh
The weirdest thing about the sharks for me is that all of the attacks are theoretically easy to parry, but if you miss even one parry you get one shot
yeahh
the biggest part for me is the camera. sure the arena is a little scuffed but you have some room, but when ur locked on and they tower over you causing the camera to scrape the ground
it's hard!
then you have to watch for the faraway charge in
pain
this is true of every souls gamehttps://youtu.be/tKIiiSd7DgM?si=LvIXiF0_87U_JUig

ok theres no way that imagery is by mistake
what imagery?
i hate sharks
It's evocative of a uterus
ahhhhhhh
Womb tat shaped like the guy above
i stg if theres a whake boss called monstro
if i had a nickel for every souls dlc with whales
how many dlcs have whales??
death
Aren’t they sharks
i assumed so
....oh right the Maya souls run
gonna be honest, completely forgot about it
i forgot how much i dislike the sentinel blocking the way to leyndell
fixed all my leyndell problems by simply going to the moghwyn palace farming area early and pelted that dumb bird for an hour
Lady Arclight looks Completely Normal dont worry about it
💪 making real progress
gotta love the crucible armor
a really interesting lore thing about dark souls 3 - the player naturally assumes that the Firelink Shrine you wake up in is the "real" one, and the Untended Graves are some copy.
But the thing is, the Untended Graves actually physically exist alongside the rest of the world, while the Firelink you start at exists in some completely separate realm.
Since Gundyr is younger in the Untended Graves, and the Handmaid from Firelink remembers you showing up in the Untended Graves but not the other way around, this implies that the Firelink you start at is far in the future, and the Fire Keeper is sending you back in time when you teleport to the rest of the world.
I assume this was prompted by zullie pointing it out in her newest video?
time being weird is a big part of ds3 iirc
yes
the opposite of a big bang is happening
I think that DS3 did the time is “convoluted time aspect” the best especially when you factor in the Ring City DLC
Yeah, and the final boss arena in the Ring City is like... the endgame point of it
Ok time for my tinfoil or minic-tear foil theory post on what we will or will not see in Shadow of the Erdtree
-DLC is basically Elden Ring 2 in terms of size, about as big as base Dark souls 3
-The seven NPCs all see Miqulla differently compared to the player with some seeing him in a more negative light. Of the Seven at least two will try to kill the player via questlines before the DLC ends
-Messmer isn't going to be the final boss, but rather||another envoy of an outer god Possibly the blood star/Formless Mother ||
-Miqulla is a legit good person, but plans keep getting screwed up by others unintentionally
-Godwyn will be referenced a lot but will not be a boss
-Miqulla and Malena's Shadow bound beast will be an NPC/boss
-Miqulla will not make any references to Melena or use of the needle in the DLC
-Messmer and Melina were the OG twins of Markia and Radagon
-Markia has sever father issues, as dad turn her into a vessel for greater will (see old man in portrait in gameplay trailer)
-Godskin knight "common boss"
-Golam eyed queen and godskins provided deeper examination, but the queen will not be a boss
-Messmer tried to burn the Edrtree once before using Melina which is why snakes are seen as bad and he was banished back to shadowlands
-Death blight was a condition before Godwyn, like scarlet rot
-St Trina is Miqulla's nightmares made manifest which is why they appear spooky on torch.
-Frenzy Flame/Sleep Dragons present
-Trick weapons in some form will be a surprising addition
-Male Caria royalty NPCs present unknown relationship
Frenzy Dragon oh no

Mini ||death right birds || god damn it LOL 😂
Damn they 'fixed bows'
Do bows actually deal damage now?
I can’t watch it now, but I’m reading these NPCs and they’re crazy backstories
mostly joking cuz they ||just added other ranged weapons w/ no ammo like throwing knives and perfume bottles||
Oh
that said there could be good/better bows in the dlc! that'd be very neat
Having finally watched this, I can safely say some of my predictions are probably true Like ||Messmer trying to burn down the Erdtree before and Frenzy dragon possibly this Bayle(?!?)||
god some of the new weapon classes look so fucking sick
namely Light GS, Reverse Grip Swords, Martial Arts, Beast Claws, and Perfume Bottles
Oh right the DLC is out
more sword classes
I'll catch up soon guys! I just got to Anor Londo in DS1
the dlc is not out
Londor*
I just left the asylum 😭
Shadows of the erdtree-
||THE FUCKIN POSE ON THE LIGHT GS WEAPON ART POBPIRIPRE4JTOPE4KGPRDMPTEMBITE||
||Also the throwing axe seems awesome||
something about getting Malenia down to 20% on the first try this file really feels good but damn, i fumbled it right at the end
(No spoilers)
I forgot to mention the biggest change with the Elden Ring DLC. They changed the background color of the Bandai Namco logo so you don’t get flashbanged when launching the game anymore.
More very minor spoilers to this effect-
||I love that its called the Milady lol||
||Big Evelyn vibes||
I love this weapon I want it
Adding to my list of “predictions”

STAY UPDATED"Drova - Forsaken Kin" is a pixel art Action-RPG inspired by the grim dark classics of the genre and the mystical allure of Celtic mythology. Dive into a handcrafted open world where your choices and actions shape the environment. A society has discovered the power of a dead empire: to capture the spirits that govern nature and rule ...

to the folks that suggested the crescent moon axe for ER: thank you, this run has been a blast; finally beat Malenia with it today
Golden Land weapon art is so juicy on it

I love the moon axe's moveset but I wish it didn't look so silly
'big fuckoff axe' is my favorite weapon type but they're consistently worse than big fuckoff swords in most games I've played 😔
you don't like its visual design?
i think it's by far the prettiest greataxe
it's mostly worse mathematically than the longhaft, beyond its unique r2
(which is really good)
all bosses except elden beast done, ready for dlc
The really thin blade and long beard make it look uhhhhh
Flimsy
I much prefer the basic greataxe visually
Its a big thick wedge carved with runic patterns and shit
But alas its moveset is 'oops all overhead slams'
im a simple man, my fave weapons overall are like, base Longsword
Dark Souls 1 Claymore my beloved
i'll admit base greataxe looks excellent too
This reminds me
I'm sad the only ash of war infusable greatspear is the Lance
I wish there was something more like the Treespear where its like
Spear But Large
I am using a lance with glintstone pebble to great effect but
I'm still mad that all of the native blood infusions are sword-locked
what are some other fun underused weapons...
ive done like, moonveil+moonwife sword, spiked caestus, and og longsword
and now the moon axe
ah
marika's hammer
Elden blade or whatever its called
Not everyone uses it, therefore, it's not underused!
That's 8math*
@crystal meteor Have you considered doing a strength/faith build with a Cinqueda + Clawmark seal & Bestial incanations?
Or just make a true samurai build - Uchi + Wakizashi, have a bow
Ooo that sounds fun
Have you tried the Highlanders axe yet?
Take it, roar medallion, jar shard
Then slap beasts roar on it
You now have a gun
And a really good axe natch
sacred relic sword iirc
if you mean the sword that funny slug makes out of radagon
So what're the best PvE Weapons atm?
moonveil is still a monster
Honestly "Lots" seems to be the answer
Anything with a powerful art of war - Blasphmeous Blade to just name one example - is a winner
Anything with bleed does extremely well for 90% of the game, and a lot of bleed weapons can easily switch to being Occult for still excellent AR scaling when you're dealing with bleed immune stuff
And the Bloodhound Fang is an hour 1 weapon. Hell, that thing is almost too easy an option.
Crescenet Moon Axe or Axe of Godfrey c ome well recommended if you put the effort in, being really nasty greataxes (and CMA can get t he excellent Stormcaller Art of war)
I'm running around as a pure dex build in PvE using a Keen Guardian Swordspear with Stormcaller, and I'm a meanace
pure physical builds can play with the greases a lot, which is a big bit of fun in PvE - they add a chunk of base damage, so any fast attacking weapon with a grease is monstrous.
and fire grease works in like 80% of cases and is Very Easy to make
Lightning Grease is a bit later in the game (Since you gotta get to atlus plateu somehow), but is also very strong in a lot of cases - if something's strong vs fire, it'll usually be weak to lighting
and then there's stuff like Blood Grease etc if you're running Bloodhounds or similar
Something fun to consider is Guard counters, if you've never done that.
Colossal weapons iwth guard counters can be esp hilarious, you two hand, take a bit of chip damage and then KA-BONK
Notably, if you wanna do that, consider:
https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Greathorn+Hammer
As it heals on kill ontop of being a great hammer
I might also suggest the bolt of granssax
Simply because it can kill most things before they are a threat
i did enjoy the crescent moon axe, its chunky and made my faith build a lot better.
AoE is really nice in a lot of PvE, so if you can either equip a nice AoE art or its something like the Sword of Night Flame youre gucci
Oh right I need to like
Power through at least DS1
Then do DS3 with a mod to gay marry Anri
And then look into gay marrying in Elden Ring
orphan is kabooming me
i went to go fight laurence instead but realized i was missing his skull
timeless classic
This channel about to get so much traffic soon. I promise as a vow to help anyone here if they’re stuck on a puzzle/quest in the DLC.
assuming you dont get stuck
Anyone got recs for good armor for the Onyx Lord's Greatsword? Most of the gold armor doesn't look great
The Cleanrot set is clllllloooooooose but a lil too pale
The OLG is the best weapon for my int character atm
The only time I’ve been stuck was with the ring city puzzle there was no way to figure that one out yet someone did, I was worried that Elden ring was going to have similar puzzles but it didn’t but after hearing about ||forge dungeons || in the dlc I definitely think something coming that’s just as obtuse
Lyndal knight set?
I tried that too- a closer fit shadewise but still rough
I think I settled on 'cleanrot and grit my teeth'
d's armor?
I’m a simple Jack give me the raging wolf or basic knight set and I’m set
You need to kill satan to access Shadow of the Erdtree, right?
Real Mohg yeah
You will also need to Kill Rhadan as well
Aye, I have currently did most things before the great blasphemy.
Cardinal sin rather.
Gotcha just wanted to be sure 👍
I keep feeling I might want to restart because my main character is sort of locked in a no-Melina space at the moment and idk if that will be relevant
Well not restart but just make a new char for the DLC but that's so much content t'do
It'll be neat to see the mohg steam achievement percentage rise
Im considering camping out outside of mohg for summons duty
Am I crazy or did the godslayer's greatsword's ash of war's poise get nerfed at some point
It feels like everything knocks me out of it
i know pvp poise got a big update a while back, not sure about pve
but wiki comments seem to say that something in patch 1.10.1 seemed to have nerfed its poise
Why make two bad bitches fight?
Welp back to a quality build it is then
oh I did that earlier
recently and back when requirements were announced
NGL seeing the giant fire makes me think at least part of a fire giant was used in its construction
there's no way to convert an NG+ save back into an NG save is there?
I'm probably not gonna have a save ready by the time shadow of the erdtree comes out
Sounds like you're gonna have to speedrun to Mohg
i'm going to be out of town when shadow of the erdtree comes out
I should actually go thump Mohg on this new playthrough
weridly, I just now have a shiny +25 Guardian Swordspear
Woinder what i'll use that for.
sounds of dex based violence intensify
yeah lol it's gonna be rough
i might just take my ng+ build in cause it sounds like the difficulty clamping mechanism means the game won't be too easy even if you're overleveled
"Yeah that's true, but I'm pretty sure we reached the limits of that line of thinking when speaking of a world ruled by a despotic space slug basically enslaving reality, and generations upon generations of people, to its will, and where nearly everyone/everything is dead, undead, or decaying. "
This just makes me laugh as summaries of elden ring go
its been nice getting a lot of free souls sitting outside mohg's place with a summon sign
He's a fun boss for co-op tbh, slow swings give you a lot of time for chicanery when you aren't personally waiting for the delay
And you can tell when you help a new person over a mountain
its been nice with my healing-faith build while still smacking him around with big axe
i just pop the healing over time spell and then chuck lightning and hit with my axe weapon art
I had a good time meteoring 'em during phase transition
Rarely a boss evolves a hitbox big enough for that
...Wait what?
I was expecting a challenge!
I thought i'd have to work for it!
Instead i just rolled her >.>
How?!
Swordspear + STormcaller
Mimic tear also helped, but like... yeah, she can't do shit against keen swordspear and stormcaller
It just staggerlocks her
I assume you mean you two tried her?
Yeah, two attempts took her out
i died on the first one because she spawned right ointop of me cos of the cutscene
and then when i went okay, let's see how a proper attempt goes
uh, she got pinnedi n a corner and beaten to death for her first phase
dodged scarlet aeonia and then second phase same as the first
I didn't even use my physik flask or anything >.>
Yeaaaah she's real susceptible to stagger, and Mimic Tear remains the strongest summon
Still impressive to not die to some of her more distant attacks and phase 2 nonsense
Mimic tear's real strength imho is... it costs health
Like that alone makes it so fucking good
and scales directly with the fact that the better build optimizer you are (and i'd say i'm pretty good)
the better it gets
like my mimic tear is copying a 51 poise, Turtle shell on my back, two-handed Keen Swordspear +25 with Milicent's, Rotten Winged, Green Turtle and DRagoncrest Greatshield - aka, i'm an absoloute tank with monstrous AR
764 AR atm
this probably contributed to the malenia woes
YEP
as it gets like 3x your health if you level the tear
It was pretty funny to just go "...oh, she's dead"
ik guess i should do the classy thing
and put my sign down
and help out some others
Thank you though! I am happy i thumped her, just like, oh, i really expected to sweat not just "yep, she be dead"
Borealis of the fog killed me more ;.; (Borealis and the other dragons are just bad fights though)
They just need horse strats, they're better than other Soulslike dragons by miles
Well, they're mostly similar, just we now have a magic doublejump goat
Even then! I think Soulslike is at it's best with human-equiv bosses, and the big show off bosses are often very unfun, partially because of the camera controls
There's a lot I love about the games, but they've got some really horrible UI and UX experiences, the camera being one of the worst things (esp when you come from stuff like monster Hunter that has a really strong set of camera controls)
See I love the UI but yeaaah, camera can be cursed sometimes. I run into trouble in catacombs more'n world bosses though
doubly so for 'we jammed a wretched tree snake into this catacomb, as a prank'
they've gotten better at spectacle bosses but they need to make them all spectacle tbh
like ice worm and divine dragon were great fights
agreed
ludwig p2 and orphan feel pretty tight and more soulslike
on the other hand there's like
One Reborn
Living Failures
I find too many turn into ankle hacking simulator. You did all this lovely work on the fire giant and then he's off screen most of the time
yeah fire giant is one of the ones i'd say is bad
they kind of need a gimmick to anchor it -- ice worm would have been dogshit if the only damage you could do was to its face and it didn't have the railgun stun
I at least appreciate that with fire giant we eventually hack into it's ankle so much it actually breaks.
Been putting down my summon sign for Mohg and just pelting him with boulders.
I should go help with mohg
Stone of Gurranq has such nice stance damage.
Maybe I'll go beat up Dragonlord and then just go look ma! I'm a stormcloud!
I'm somewhat hesitant to go through with the Cardinal Sin since it's a big world state change before dlc.
Speaking of, there's one boss who isn't bad, but how he's used make me very sad, and that's falling star beast
It's likely nothing, with dlc being all new area(?). But for now I'm stopping just after fire giant.
Because the impact he would have had if the first time you fought him is getting ontop of that mountain and then what the fucking fuck
Instead he's in an arena that doesn't suit him, and just randomly in the world earlier and it's very 😦
Iirc the world state only updates once you dunk on black blade, it's fine before then
fun fact throwing rocks at people to make them fall down works in real life too
Oh ye I feel that a bit. First saw him in a small chamber in the mine you get teleport trapped into.
Gurranq says fuck the police
Small arena where it can't even run around.
I like Elden ring a lot, but it needed a stronger editor
"Try it, consider it." eeehh probably
There's just too much and it really hampers itself with the copy pasted bosses
A lot of whom aren't even good copy pastes. I think the tree spirits still have the bug where if you posture break them when they phase change, their ai breaks
Because they are trying to use the AI for the wrong phase
There might be a bit too many fallingstar beasts, but it's not as bad as with some others.
And at least one can kill you with its grab but shoving you out of bounds, or shoving your ashes out of bounds with its grab
Tree spirits are extra weird, because they seem to have been designed as an overland boss, and make a ton of sense when you fight them on your horse
Ulcerated tree spirits after the world change just being everywhere felt like mockery.
But the catacombs do them zero favours and they're all over there
Much easier if you just take a good Shield and guard counter them
Turtle Shield with your built in barricade that even acts as a block when activating, you rock
I think just due to how many tree spirits there are I can just reliably dodge 100% of their attacks save for phase change ground explosions (I'm bad at noticing them under me)
My reflexes are iffy, and I always struggle with souls timing
I'm used to monster Hunter/Character action games where dodging is somewhat reactive+ let's you cancel animations
While soulslikes are a proactive defence where you have to plan ahead, and I'm not great at that
Heavy shield plus Barricade skill into guard counters with something heavy is very good in ER

And I will always, always grumble about how shit the feedback on parrying is, with no way to easily tell if you're just missing the timing slightly or if it literally can't be parried
Oh I never got good at parrying to actually do it in Souls/Elden ring.
yeah the boss reuse did hurt the game in the long run i feel. i mean there are plenty of bosses that are fine to reuse but they went a bit overboard with it
(the way the parrying relies on colliding frames together is also iffy)
Otoh when you do parry Nights Calvary and dump them on their ass is very funny
i learned parrying in sekiro but never got confident with it in souls
I will pick something with parry, fail a bunch, finally get a parry.
And go - nice, time to put it down.
it's probably a mindset thing - i don't need to use it so i'll just default to the safer roll/block
I honestly think they needed to probably cut Caelid, maybe even mountaintop of the Giants
caelid as a whole? Caelid was probably the most memorable area imo
Or make Caelid actually link directly to the underground and expand that.
mountaintop i can agree with
Deflect is Sekiro is a lot clearer compared to parry in other souls game I think
It's memorable visually, but very awkward interns of gameplay flow
Boss reuse makes sense if you go from perspective of a player that will not try to find everything.
Maybe.
I did painfully "had to" comb through every location.
I think they would have been better to have a more distinct limgrave -> overland route (Liurnia, mt gelid, atlus)
And an underground route (Caelid, to underground area, to atlus)
i think most players are going to try to get the most out of their games, at least this type of game
missing parry in sekiro still blocks
thats the reason
failed parries in souls still have a partial block mechanic for a few frames too, don't they?
uuuhhh
What I would have done with Caelid is actually make the area sunken - like play up that Malenia and Radahms clash has turned the entire area into a giant sunken area, and you travel down it and then into the underworld proper
I think they really missed a trick earth expanding the underworld and it's interlinks to the overworld, but w/e
Yes, you have a proper pparry, and then there's a failed parry where you take damage but reduced
and then youre back to being fucked
Unfortunately "failed parry" and "can't parry" are literally the same feedback
You know you missed the parry entirely when you just take full damage, but there's a sound cue and partial for a failed
and taking any damage is usually a failure in souls
He kinda is the police though
That's why we kill him. We're anti cop here in The lands between
Anarchy in the UK!
Wait, hang on
he also isnt a fan of himself
Ish? Like there's a reason 60 vig is standard. And having the poise + HP to tank a hit as you wind up is a big deal.
That and the fall of past 60 vig is hilarious
Think I've mostly been doing 50. Feels comfy enough for me.
6 HP per level of vig after 60 or worse iirc
On my 4ish runs(?)
You're only missing about 100hp there iirc
So 50 is fine
Anything more than 60 is just a waist
Waste*
4 runs, 3 age of stars endings, unless new ending with DLC probably the 4th as well

My 150 ss build is wretch start, 60 vig, 15 mind, 70 Dex (+5 from Millicents), and the rest dumped into end for flexibility
Oh, and 18 str
Which is enough for all the cool Dex weapons I care about
Mainly the flexibility is it lets me wear some heavier armour for the drip/resistances, or use the pulley crossbow, or carry misericode etc
Just a whole set of nice options I can whip out
Surprise katars are always nice in pvp
I had a funny earlier where I got summoned to stop a red, ran past them an engaged the cleanrot Knight, and the red was all I've got Penguin! Rushes in.
Penguin: I active stormcall, catostrophically owning you and the clean rot
... Then the host pancakes then with the sledgehammer. It was great
Doing arcane currently so I'm mostly annoying invaders with bees! swarm of flies or jumping in with arcane twinblade.
Surprisingly a lot of people get caught with Eleonora's twinblade weapon art, especially the retreating second half.
BEEEES
That's such a fun spell
Not the best for damage but in pvp it's such a good harassment tool

There's something very funny about how transporter traps/the four belfries can make your map end up looking like this
the marks of your blunders
Trying to farm out some weapons but they just are not dropping:[
This is why I'm a big propent of just using cheat engine to drop this stuff in while you're offline. Saves you a lot of sanity
Most wholesome Elden Ring Invasion
Went up against these two guys, I stopped right before fighting them
One of them did an emote
I was trying to figure out how do do it back
We did the jumping thing of friendship
Then I had what was basically an honour duel with the host
Lost by a hair but it was a damn good fight
Hear me out: Vigor is a bad stat and should be removed fro mteh game. And your HP should just... naturally go up as you level
This post broguht to you by the fact it's really easy for players to screw themselves by not leveling vigor, it's not actually providing an interesting build choice (You want 40, and you probably want 50 or 60, you almost certainy dont evenr want anything more than that), and the way weapon upgrades work you can just... get your minium reqs for your weapon, make sure you arent fat rolling, then level vigor for X boring levels.
I like leveling Vigor, its a tangible core bonus and you can choose to forgo it for a risk-reward situation
I wouldn't mind if you got a small touch of health like y'do with defenses but you could invest more
It does feel somewhat of a tax at some point
hot take I think soulsborne stats are bad period and sekiro did the right thing by dumping them
they're needlessly granular, extremely easy to screw yourself on, and encourage really boring builds because you find a thing that scales with X so why bother putting points in other damage stats
this was a sekiro turn-off for me
Sekiro doesn't have a good way of "I am walled here, so I will go and do some other stuff and get my stats and equipment up to help me here", which i enjoy in the stat-system soulsbornes
Yeah I like the handcrafted nature of stat-having, something would feel off if it was just gear swapping
Sekiro is a really cool experience but its also my least-favorite of the fromsofts for some of those reasons
I personally think it works in Sekiro due to how tight Sekiro is mechanically
But it wouldn't work in Dark Souls or Elden Ring or whatever
I actually agree with you broadly, however I think they're fun to level up bit by bit, and really good for thematic reasons
Honestly I kinda like the stats system, but having to respec if I want to try out something that doesn’t fit my build sucks
Weapon upgrades on the other hand are annoying as hell
numbers going up makes my brain tingly
i love everything about sekiro but also i don't mind being told i must be this tall to go on the Xargatan Greatblade of Resigned Ennui ride
Like, from a pure game dream perspective, yeah Elden ring stats are bad
But from more ludonarrative perspectives, they're very fitting, and psychologically a lot of players really love the incremental gains feeling - the experience they provide is valuable (even if again, I think vigor is a mistake).
I think you could stand to clean up stuff a bunch still, there's various improvements that could be made
But stats still have a place
I think stuff like poe big trees etc work much better
because then you're pathing to specific buffs picking up other random stuff along the way
like dark souls has to do weird hardcoded scaling limits you have to Just Know About otherwise there's no reason to not put all your points into strength cause you have a big sword or whatever
meanwhile in poe just heading to strength nodes means you probably pick up other stuff long the way etc etc
like
the alternative to dark souls' stats isn't "sekiro" it's like every other rpg system in the world
even dota got rid of just levelling stats in favor of talent trees and stuff
See I feel so opposite about POE, that style encourages even more hard-core build following, you can get so absolutely screwed in trees, requires so much knowledge of the game
Its also just a lot to read and I like doing that but Gamers(TM) tend to... well, AKI is currently like 60% of a popularity poll in Sf6 because she's first on the list alphabetically
the mechanics are in the game in poe, something I can't say about soulsborne games
like yeah it's complicated but you only need to really dive deep into the complexity if you wanna max out some hyper specific optimal build or whatever
and the little nodes do everything they say they do
the 'soft scaling caps' etc are just, like, community word of mouth tribal knowledge stuff
I remember playing bloodborne on my gf's playstation once, she wanted to see me play it, and when I levelled up I looked at the stats and decided to level bloodtinge cause it sounded cool
and she had to jump in and stop me
I feel like Bloodborne's a unique situation compared to like ER :|a, there's different tiers of murkiness and balance, you're not wrong though. Though soft cap stuff really only gets encountered once you're deep in the games, and you can at least see the stat giving less of a boost when you level..
it's really not that deep
like I started playing lies of p and immediately had to turn to my cule's fromsoft veterans and the were like "okay you should level the health stat to N and then level a damage stat to X, which is probably 30 or 40 let's google it"
???
like the amount of heuristic knowledge you're just supposed to know is kinda nuts
i've gotten through all these games
it's a game for people who've been wiki walking and trained by their elders
ime it was really easy to fuck up build pathing in poe too, though
which is why i'm foggy on it
I agree that fromsoft stat stuff is oblique and fucky, but I don't think poe's skill tree is the answer for something easier
because it has more trap skills and less direction
and more hyperspecificity
it's something I like as a weird little goblin creature
i don't think there's rightly a way to fuck yourself over in a fromsoft unless you like.. only level.. endurance, or something, it's not 100% clear but the stats are there and the items tell ya what they need.. idk, there's room for both
but I've seen a ton of people get super overwhelmed by the poe tree
or go in the same poor directions as in From games by just going "I want to do everything, I'll take all stats"
fair enough, I don't think the poe system is the greatest system ever myself
and giving themselves a ton of grief
I prefer old trees like the ones for diablo 2 etc, but I can understand dismissing that cause it was class based
I think the PoE tree is easier for someone already familiar with its interface
frenzyflame giving you the look
I just think "6 unexplained stats that work on mathematical formulas with 5 digit granularity" is like. not the winning strategy
because instead of "level your choice of these stats that do this"
I think my favorite system ever in this open world rpg space was honestly Outward
Outward had no stats, no trees
you just had to go places
it's "follow this byzantine path and do esoteric mapping fuckery"
and learn stuff
If outward had a respec option, S++, please, sequel
from people
outward's progression is great yeah
the only way to learn magic is to find the cool shaman guy and ask him
and that honestly fucked
strong exploration layer
every new land is a whole new set of build options
there are a bunch of magic types and all of them require different fuckery
yeah
but all of them start with "go drink from the MAGIC SUGAR MOUNTAIN"
which is great
and tbf there were some like "stat" skills too which was fine and good
'The fuck is Adaptability'
like you could go to the dude in your village and learn basic goddamn fitness
so you have a decent stamina bar
one of my favorite outward moments was like. till and I heard a rumor of some crazy wind shaman guy beyond the ghost pass and we were like... maybe we should go find him? cause till's a wizard?
and one adventure later cause fuck the ghost pass, we did find him
god, that fucking zone
and he was like "arcane magic is for bitches, check out harnessing the natural world around us" and till was so utterly enchanted
and he became a shaman
not knowing what corruption was
and that was so cool
and then just
yeah the horrible radiation poisoning
randomly instantly dying
outward went so hard
and going ?????+?+?;?5?;;!!!
My build was decided the instant I talked to that merchant and went 'the fuck do you mean this game has a pistol in it'
we never died to the corruption but like, running into damage you simply cannot heal ever (not quite true) was so spooky to us in the early story
that was my second character, blood is so FUN
when we realized "oh ashley is gonna have 12/100 corruption forever no matter how much she rests cause she touched ONE magical uranium bauble" put the fear of god into us
blood bullet fucks

episode 25 of Steam Dumpster Diving with somehow, once again, even more "souls-likes" you (probably) haven't heard of
twitter: https://twitter.com/Ir...
Don't suppose anyone here might have a spare beastman cleaver?
Are you on PC ?
"You are nothing withou Two Fish, One Fish!"
Sending you my energy so you may kill albernaurics
I've only beaten Godrick so far\
Close enough to getting there i believe in you
yeah i'm in the same boat
thankfully the game itself is pretty fun and a lot easier your second time through (not even on an ng+ build)
I've gotten a few characters ready by cheesing the level system via albernauric death near mohgwyn since you can get there absurdly early
what, just get to moghwyn palace approach and wait for the absurd blood albinaurics to walk off the ledges or something?
the normal ones also give a lot of runes
if you have aoe spells or a large weapon you can kill a lot of them very quickly, and even if you accidentally die to the bonewheel skeletons red ones then you just pick up your runes and start again
is that really any faster than the bird farm?
bird farm is good until you get enough damage to kill the sleepy guys
you dont even need to start killing all of them tbh, you can reliably kill 2-3 sleepy ones before a red one aggros
but also i just hate timing the bow shot lmao the stupid tree is always in the way
bird farm is def 0 risk tho thats why its better at lower levels
If you're on PC, going offline and using cheat engine. Simpler and sanerer than the farming
Its fun to watch the number go up, especially damage in real time
What's more simple than exploding 20,000 frogmen
That is also fair! Just wanted to point out it's an option
It is, but I am generally averse to using cheats in an online-capable game for safety reasons.
to be clear i am not averse to it since its fundamentally the same to me as like, genning in competitive pokemon, youll get to the same result whether you spend the time or not
i just dont trust myself to not fuck it up and get a random ban or w/e
Valid. The way elden ring works, at least, you can make it quite safe - as long as you arent online in the game, and you don't go online with anything illegal to have chated in (Dummied out items, or obviously fucked up character stats) you won't get hit.
Cheating in weapons, etc, works fine as long as you're offline.

DLC preview spoiler: one of the new incantations shown off in the redbull streams was ||PEST THREAD SPEAR||
or well idk if it was 'shown off' but i caught it like
pausing while a guy was scrolling through his spells
but what about the hot jar man
Did you see it in action 👁️
Or just the name
If I can get one self indulgent pick, I want an actual projectile version of frozen lightning
I love that stuff but the ground stab is just
Poor
just name. the spell icon in the ui stuck out to me when I saw it for a split second so I went back and did the ol' pause/unpause mash until I paused on the spell being cycled through in the ui
Oh, fextra is starting to get a trickle of stuff too
Not gonna go off too much cuz of spoilers but
One incantation makes me Very Happy
At least they buffed up poise on longer casts
At launch I think pretty much anything would throw you out of longer incantation animations.
fun fact
not surprised
the dlc has historically been the best part of any fromsoft game
first dlc to get GOTY
Same
Somehow, despite this disjointed nature, I was still astounded at what I discovered. But I mention the word exhausting often, because “Elden Ring” demands much of its audience, whether it’s through the skill required, the mental acuity to push through hard challenges, or the literary sensibility to understand a nonlinear narrative logic. Some of the most important areas of the game key to understanding the story are hidden in obscure passageways and require a keen eye and good spatial awareness.
This rules
Eeeeeek
I am having conniption fits
I want it...... Milady......
man i need to figure out how to be a wizard
i am just really struggling to find a way to be first and foremost a wizard when i can just stab them with an upgraded weapon and they die a lot faster and more safely
This is written like souls dialogue
i have the rocks and the rocks stick, i also have a +4 sword of saint trina and it makes the people fall down in a much more practical fashion
I use magic mostly to pull and also thin dudes out from safety usually
Like, glintstone arc can chew up groups, pebble can lure people while doing damage, so on
I think the plain truth is that largely speaking, faith/int/arcane builds will be Stabbing With Smartness most of the time and supplementing with spells
Funnily enough I wind up relying on spells more when using incantations over glintstone, despite incantations ostensibly being the 'jock spells'
Cuz stuff like Lightning Spear and Frenzied Burst has a higher chance of killing someone in one shot that most sorceries, which are better at being spammed
i recently levelled a dex/faith kinda guy for the dlc and generally found the damage pretty uninspiring until i got, uh, ancient dragon's lightning strike
The endgame spells are fun, the black blade incantation makes me feel so cool
and now it suddenly does something
step 1.9 the special stick for rocks
its best for going where you arent supposed to yet
rock spamming to get moonveil early is a fan favorite
honestly, frenzied burst is by far what I use the most 😭
I could do all those big unpredictable booms, or I could simply shoot them with a gun
True
Lightning is very cool
One of the incantations shown off in the preview streams has got me like
Frothing at the mouth
I will post it in spoilers because I NEED to talk about it
||Knight's Lightning Spear||
||You charge up and huck a lightning spear like normal... then a big ass summon sword ring of floating lightning spears appears around you and homes in on what you hit after a delay||
||Like a weird hybrid between lightning spear and the glintstone phalanxes||
👀
i can scarcely believe they are implementing an actual quality of life feature in the inventory
ikr
i'm sure some (other) grognard is going to be out there saying that having to either painstakingly go through every tab to find the new thing you picked up or just resort to googling it is an essential part of the soulslike experience in accordance with the Bielefeld interpretation and this feature means elden ring is not only no longer a soulslike, but actually for casuals
Recent Items... holy crap
yeah i need this at least as much as i need the expansion
This makes up for the incoming swamps
i need this for the expansion
I like new hair 😌
yes.....ha ha ha.....yes!
Alright, preorder locked in
Boiling slightly
Supposedly the Martial Arts are similar to the Bone Fist from DS2
oh shit are those dreads?
Getting ready for DLC, so need to completely revamp my character ofc
Thinking Dex/Faith/Arc Whip build
Throw on Bloodflame Blade for spice, and need some kind of bleed range option
throwing knives, discus of light, holy pots
checking walls and light fixtures in case they have chicken in them
There we go, Undead Paladin as a RL150 Dex/Faith/Arc Bloodflame Bladed Keen Urumi with a Burred Bolt Pulley Crossbow. Armor is Royal Remains Helm, Depraved Perfumer Robe, Briar Gauntlets, and Nox Greaves
DLC Ready o7
Lord everyone is getting ready to storm the beaches
I still gotta beat Mohg this week before the DLC drops
This is going to be my first time actually fighting him and I am mildly concerned
it's fine, don't worry
just beat him up
i honestly have as much trouble with those rapier fuckers on the way up than i do with him
My sense of difficulty is probably a bit skewed from the time I've spent repeatedly bouncing off of Malenia 😅
I think I'll be fine though
uhhh yeah you have nothing to worry about
if you've gotten to malenia then the fight is going to go 'impressive speech > you beat him to death'
Hes a fun fight imo, keeps you moving
If you summon a 'Sweet Reiko' for help against Mohg, dats me
Tip for mogh is just, bring the correct items (moghs shackle, the Purifying Crystal Tear), and stack up on Burst Damage
You have to Burst him down in his long ass phase transition
Also, for some reason he's pretty weak to Bleed
Blood for the blood god!
he's weak to bleed but he allegedly has a little enrage when someone has recently lost blood, including him
I remember I struggled super hard on Mogh and then one time me and two summons DPSd so hard that we had a second phase with just a sliver of HP left
dont forget the special soda
It's not too uncommon for Mogh to just not get his second phase lol
and theres a suprise tool in the sewer
His second phase is too cool to miss imo
Man, i just cannot find a weapon i like for an arcane build
it doesent help it fels like arcane is super hard gated to being later game, becuase Vigor tax, and then various otehr stuff
I liked good ole Reduvia
It's just not clicking for me. I dunno, nothing qutie feels right and it's frustrating as hell 😦
i just beat radahn yesterday no way am i gonna beat mohg in time
Could just Occult-ify something, yeah?
@graceful sinew I mean, we can probably all help you zerg Moghy moo
I have been! nothing feels right! (Well, as much as i can, i dont have tghe black whetstone yeti n this playthrough)
it's an option if nothing else works but tbh i kind of want to do another actual run of the game
just to get warmed up and get my build set up
What kind of stuff have you been using? Morgott's sword was p fun but can't recall how hard it scales
I wish the Sacred Spear had a wider moveset, Mohg really puts that thing to work
I've been trying out various weapons. Great Omenkiller Cleaver, Great Stars, Bloody Helice, Reduvia, Spiked Cestus etc
I think my prior run being Swordspear spoiled me. Much simpler stats, much more flexible weapon
i've just been sticking to the good old zweihander
but i might switch to the greatsword since i'm leaning more str/fth than quality
so which DLC weapon types are ya'll excited about?
I'm too blind to know of them, bwaa
The most I've seen of the DLC outside trailers is a reviewer like 'I'm 60 hours into this and I still don't see the end'
I can list them, if that's not too much spoilers for oyu?
the only one i know about is the one and i bet that's gonna be dex, so no good for my current build
I shall pass o7 but thanks for askin
Give us two martial arts, one strength-based Heihachi maulings
Light greatswords are the one i'm really excited about
Milady 🥺
i thought thats what feet are for
No, feet are for going barefoot and being mysterious
I wonder if they’re gonna put some of the new weapon types in the base game, it’d be a shame if they were all only available post mohg
by the sound of it post mohg is another 60%
Still though, it takes a while to get to him
backhand blades or martial arts tbh
Can't wait for the Light Greatsword and the megakatanas
oh yeah and light gs
My need for excessively long sword grows
or as I've been calling them 'twink greatswords'
I literally only chose Urumi as my main weapon because it is the longest sword in the game
The ultrapoke
I wonder if all backhand blades come in pairs
Brains are silly. I totally failed to consider using Katanas as an option for Ocuclt, and that i actually really like their moveset
I'm hoping not, I wanna use one with a shield pretty bad and it would rot my brain if one was just hanging on my hip during it
Also: Have been working towards getting the last few achievements for platinum while bumming around before the DLC drops
Good news: Only one achievement left 😄
Bad news: Three fingers 💀
Fuck it, my int char is in the mountaintops
I will sacrifice her
Now to figure out how you actually get into the subterrenean shunning grounds (again)
Look for wells in the sandy parts of the capital
Ye, I figured it out
There's a TON of just Wholly Unrelated Sewer that throws me off every time lol
The first run through was truly 'WHAT DO YOU -MEAN- IT GOES EVEN FARTHER?'
Almost like they were trying to bury something >:|a
i love the bit in the shunning grounds where the game gaslights you into thinking you're going through the same floor over and over
i need to see the oob of that
From what we've been told, they're all paired. But it does mean they can block and then guard counter in paired mode, and apperntyly they're pretty good at that
Realizing you want to go a different direction in NG+ for your Bloodborne char but not wanting to go through the entire base game just to respec...
no respec is rough :(
Granted
I did a quality build
And I'm looking to go into Skill/Bloodtinge with the Reiterpallasch soooo
Not
Horrible?
Hopefully the DLC makes the respec material renewable
Only having a set amount really sucks
Update:
😔
Gladiator fit yeaaaa
This run is teaching me very funny things
Like 'the only time mountaintops of the giants forces you to fight something is the fire giant'
I just Torrent'd through the whole ass zone
I remain grateful that I'm both on PC and also have zero compunction about cheating to get around really annoying limitations like that
does the respec have a workaround like in ds3? (you can respec but close the game without exiting rosaria's menu, it saves the respec but doesn't take the item/decrease the limit until you close the 2nd menu)
i doubt it

can you just use cheat engine to give yourself some extra larval tears or is that a bannable thing?
As long as you're offline while doing cheat engine stuff
it's fine
and as long as you dont go online with dummied out items or hacked stats etc
i use cheat engine for inventory editing stuff all the time and havent once been banned by following that simple rule
(I am allergic to grinding in single player games)
i don't think ER is that grindy on a full playthrough but if you're just speedrunning dlc readiness it would be rough yeah
Eh, it's grindy enough for various consuemables that can't be bought
Resins are a big culprit as an example
ah yeah the crafting system was a....mixed success
Rune Arcs also
and the item system has never been great in from soft games
tbh i'd be happy with them dropping or de-emphasizing the actual rpg elements of the games and honing in on the exploration + combat
i mean using all the different weapons and builds is great fun, but actually making a build in ER isn't fun in the same way that it is in, say, armored core
Mm, it's a complicated topic
i honestly think in the case of a lot of hte craftables, they should have commited more to the Cracked pot bit
i.e you have "infinite" cracked pots, but you can only carry X crafted cracked pot things with you
yeah that'd be nice
I think they need to have a rethink of their spell/crafted item split too, the spell and item using UI is atrocious
It made more sense in the DS1/DS2 days where equipping multiple copies of spell was a useful thing to do
but it was still bad then
I wonder how much NG+ will scale the DLC stuff >:|a, i have a character at just-before-final boss and wondering if so many NPCs bein' dead will be relevant
i kind of regret throwing my save into ng+ but now i'm wondering if it would be faster to continue with my ng save or start anew on my + save
tbh i'm already at altus on my regular save so i'll probably just ||cheat|| in a few levels once i get where i need to be and call it there
Okay, platinum for ER acquired
But At What Cost
The cost is that it only lasts a day before you have to do it all over again for the DLC
😭 @Adamantium19897 immediately thought of you
💖 752 🔁 132
My int character 3/4ths of the way through her playthrough when I realized I need frenzied flame as the last achievement
Urumi is being extremely annoying rn
Why is my megapoke not on target when I'm target locked
Because someone applied a curse of some sort to whips as a weapon class in fromsoft games
I have to aim it manually and actually learn how to play my weapon now, ridiculous
The Urumi megapoke is still cool as all hell. But it's annoying
So
Do you figure the eclipse stuff at Fort Sol will come back into play in Shadows
Like, whats the over-under on Miquella going into the Land of Shadows to ||properly revive Godwyn||
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-Xh4vbs6go HYPE TIME RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH
Witness the birth of a God. The coming of a Lord.
And follies better left forgotten.

Hey remember how we were discussing the last boss moving too much like.. 12 hours ago
Added new feature to summon spectral steed during the ||Elden Beast||
Added new feature to the colosseum: crafted consumable items that have been used during a battle will be replenished at the end of your session. ogh
amazing
"Fixed a bug in The Queen's Black Flame Skill that did not apply poise when using this skill." From today's patch.
Replying to something from over a week ago I know, but just remembered when reading patch notes
Is it out yet?
This feels.mildly relevant to the DLC
And I don't belive so, we have like 9 more hours or so
something like eight more hours i think
WE’RE SO FUCKING BACK
Here are the release times
6:00 PM 😭
i think if you're in NZ it is out, which means i technically have access to it. but i just hit leyndell so 😅
time to mute this channel for the next like two weeks
I might drop in here to celebrate progress in the base game when I start, but yeah otherwise I won't be reading it too much
good luck gamers
alright thoughts on the drip going into the dlc?
Looks nice, although perhaps a larger head is needed. Also, have you thought about the unaltered banished knight chest piece?
amazing new thing in the 1.12 patch notes
||you can summon Torrent during Elden Beast now||
🎉
Increased the poise damage of the Torches weapon type
Okay but why
Also nice they buffed the zamor curved sword the day after I started using it 😌
all fire weapons get this dub
Getting together an all flame character
Exploration/Gen PvE drip for the DLC drop
Flame Of Frenzy, Bloodflame Blade, Surge O Flame, and Explosive Crossbow bolts
Apologies for the screencap quality, still haven’t figured out how to transfer PS screencaps to my phone easily
Here's my drip, an undead paladin thingy
Nice
Niiiice
Ive got an Urumi for The Holy Poke
Really need to figure out a better way of taking screencaps but general build stuff there
are you on Windows
PlayStation
ah, I got nothing then
i got marikas hammer, the black blade, and the cruicble knight weapons at the ready
Haha no worries
All Hail The Holy Poke!
Godslayer great
Was my final boss weapon
My main exploration build is blasblade, serpent curved sword, lots of ancient lightning spells and some black flame stuff
Played around with Chungus build as well with the Knight’s greatsword as a main
Love the Knights greatsword
I really want to try the blasblade at some point, but I just can't escape Dex/Fth
Such smooth R1s
Played around with this looks as well but it just doesn’t perform as well against lots of units
Please place this in the erdtree spoilers thread 🙏
Should we keep dlc spoilers in the dlc waiting thread?
No worries
#1251763655578488872
I purged the YouTube algo so I can avoid the spoilers as much as possible
But at a certain point I’ve resigned myself that some stuff I’m just gonna find out about, and have learned to live with it
whuh
hmm should ER talk be in here, or the other thread (or either)
other thread
So um. The increased movement distance on zamor curved sword attacks might be a bit ridiculous
This is how far you move from one r1 chain, starting from the grace
... interesting choice for Lords of the Fallen to go 50% off on Steam the day Shadow of the Erdtree drops
Forgetting how you switch ammo types for crossbows [PC]
heavy attack iirc
Hmm, I'll try that
I must find a way to use my Burred Bolts and my Explosive Bolts at the same time
Please keep dlc stuff in the dlc thread. And mark it as dlc spoilers
Ah i did not see the thread
TO THE SHADOW REALM WITH THEE
found the fucking ||Dragon Pit||
It was three posts ago 😩
under the effect of jailhouse rock, the target can only remember three things before trading the oldest for the newest
The input speed adjustment for menus thing they put in the new patch is very noticeable, to the point where if I didn’t know about it I’d think the game was eating my inputs
Huh, looks like you get new loading screen art even without owning the dlc, neat
its the tantalus thing about the nearer it is the worse it feels
…I have somehow gotten a noble’s estoc and two noble’s slender sword before getting the aristocrat’s hat
Do you not have teh cash for it? 😦
More or less yeah
Long story short I have the money but don’t actually have access to it for an indeterminate amount of time 🤷♀️
Just as well I guess, I still need to finish up my dlc character prep anyway
its on a pit and the pendulum type mechanism
slowly lowering towards the steam account
MMMMMM
Congratulations on obtaining the dlc!
Download the patch first
i have
THE TIMER HAS BEEEN AT 0 FOR 6 MINUTES
OH GOD IM SEEING PEOPLES GHOST WITH NEW ARMOR
Is that the download/install timer?
its the countdown to activate
Maybe restart the console?
You just hear a mumbled “good” and he goes back to sleep
NEW ;LOADING ART
AND THE EMOTE
WERE SO BACK BABY
alas now i must go to the thread upstate
Indeed

I've been having a rough time in DLC lol
And here I was worrying about overleveling

and that's all I will say before vanishing
Flame, Fall Upon Them remains an absolute problem solver, post-buff
I'm Arcane/Faith and juust enough Dex to play with some weapons and it's got so much variety
Can't believe they buffed Dragon Communion Seal but hey not complaining
what did they do?
Buffed the scaling on Dragon Communion and the Faith/Int Seal, for whatever reason
They already had some of the highest ingame
yeah dlc is making me do a roundup of all the flask items i missed
did she forget to install source???
eat your heart out Malenia, there's a new comically long one handed slashing sword
flowing sword ass kit
Hmm… do I be a bit silly, perhaps a little goofy, and embrace the frenzied flame to incinerate all that divides and distinguishes on my dlc prep character
the shit in here is gonna give you so many ideas so it dont really matter
So many ideas…?
there are whole new potential build gimmicks that weren't feasible before that are solid now

New discoveries:
-Spark aromatics are insane
-Miranda powder is a pain in the ass to farm
does madness do anything in pve now
Spark Aromatics have insane Dexterity scaling
Like
It’s ludicrous, they’re oneshotting machines in PvP
and now since consumables get refunded after
Why the fuck does Siluria's woe deal 2898 damage to a boss with 80% holy resistance!?
Overpenetration means many hits? Maybe the phys/holy split is weighted one way
Also I’m remembering why every time I’ve fought Fortissax I’ve gone “fuck it” and used something like pest threads to cheese him, the camera in this fight is a mess
It doesn’t even overpenetrate!
I thought they added that sometime >:|a well! is a gift for the windup time then
the crucible weapons are really good
Okay apparently the cranial vessel candlestand is also incredible
'Behold, Cave!' remains a stalwart and cherished travel companion, and a great way to tell when there's an influx of new players
Thing has been healing like every 30 seconds
Why are there so many good str/fai weapons and why am I only now noticing them!?
Doesn’t even have its own seal
Hey Godwyn was Dex/Faith too!
I think siluria’s tree might be one of the most absurd weapons I’ve used in this game, and that’s saying something
It deals insane damage with a long range ash of war, it’s better than most of my incantations
Only downside is that it deals like 50% holy damage when you’re not using the ash
I think it got hit in like every buff patch, they were really trying to spread the power level of unique ashes out (away from Rivers of Blood and such)
Same with axes, they've improved every time they get a chance
it also looks cool
all the crucible shit rules
I've never had enough endurance to try the armor
idk how folks resist throwing some points at magic or somesuch, game has too many toys not to be able to try a good chunk of em
I get around that by only having 40 vigor and putting sine of the points in endurance
Faith strength is ludicrously stat hungry I can’t afford any more vigor than that right now
50/50 Faith/Arcane was a big investment, but also applies a sort of 'mad cackling sorceror' level of hurt to spells
The crucible knight armor boosting crucible spells is just an added bonus to the fashion tbh
Honestly, faith has so many flash spells and weapons that using it is some of the most fun I’ve had in elden ring
There's just so much variety to it, not that Int -isn't- cool but their flavors are.. lighter, half of the gravity spells are the same spell
That said everything Carian is very cool
and gravity
magic is cool in this game
heavy weapon faith just bonks so well
I'm struggling to decide on weapons, used two greatswords for ages and been using Eleonora's for a while but i crave new nonsense
all the faith weapons ive found are very bonk
Just hard to get away from Bloodblade Dance obliterating things
Light greatswords!
They're quite tempt, I do have a Carian Knight char but I can find her something even more fanciful and wizardy
Sort of going from a Darth Maul to a Count Dooku with how Bloodflame looks on the twinblades/L Greatsword
tbh, i dont think Bloodflame is a great pick on Light greatsword
like it kinda works, but if you actualyl want bleed, well... infuse it bleed
at that point you're not using bloodflame anyway
Now, Blackfire Blade...
Yeaah, thinking about that as I use it
Just gimme a Light Greatsword with raw bleed, Flamberge, to me, you are perfect
Does anyone know if you edit out the modded items and whatnot from a Seamless Co-Op character they can be used in regular online? friend is a-struggling
from the little i read on the mod page, seamless co-op saves can't be turned into regular saves iirc
I gotta say I really appreciate the dlc making sure everyone know this game is queer as hell
Maybe I missed it cause I'm fighting for my life but more specific please?
A bit of late dlc spoilers but I will say that there are two critical plot points about a gay relationship.
You can talk about it with spoilers in #1251763655578488872 if you want
Will do
I'm sure this was a good decision
The hardest part of the decision
Closely followed by having to find fashion that goes with being covered in horrible burns
ngl I don’t really like how the scars look so I’ll just use the backup save I made
You can turn the scars off
Neat!
I wish we could choose which version of Fucked Up Eyes we had
Honestly Melina going “I’m so disappointed in you” alone makes me want to go back to the backup, despite it literally not mattering in the slightest
There's a noted absence despite her only showing up for churches beforehand
DEPRAVED PERFUMER GARB MY BELOVED
Okay I’ve successfully guilt tripped myself into going not incinerating all the divides and distinguishes
At least until I want the achievement
You can cleanse yourself later on
Just need to take Miquellas Needle to the Placidusax Arena and boom you will no longer by heats fireguy
I know but it still feels bad
Her voice acting down here is A+++
the barely concealed rage, the choking on words as she begs you not to do it
shes so well spoken the entire game until this moment
I just noticed I had the flame of frenzy as my selected spell, neat
Oh man. Elden Beast with Torrent is... fun??
😱
The Radagon->Beast feels like the Ganondorf->Ganon transition now lmao its so cool
shocking news
fights meant for torrent are fun with him and not fun without
gaius
van Baelsar
time for the FOURTH PHASE
😱
tbh i always thought elden beast was a good fight
then again i don't actually use torrent for any fights besides the erdtree spirits
I didn't mind it but it feels great with horsey
torrent is just a liiitle bit too slow on the dodge compared to being on foot
Yeah, I don't tend to like fighting on Torrent for anything more complicated than trash mobs
Or dragons, but that's mainly because he can outrun their breath attacks
...as it turns out, Mohg really doesn't like being hit by destined death or black blade
Took three attempts and the first two were both just me being too greedy when he was one hit away from death
Admittedly I somehow managed to bring his health really low even after nihil so it wasn't as hard as it could have been
black blade is so good

alright now torch only

fucking splendid
I have obtained the dlc 😌
shadow that erdtree
