#Warhammer and Such
1 messages · Page 4 of 1
Ah, the mold I've been using for plaguebearers finally bit the dust.
Pour one out for a real one.

Well, I still have the masters so I can always remake it.
I'm hoping that GSC get a rocket launcer team, tat would be cool
did some somewhat heavy converting to get a dorf flamer for the gang
@naive abyss you may enjoy as a fellow short king enthusiest
vibe
i think i nailed the I CANNOT BE TRUSTED ALONE WITH LIGHTERS look
lol yeah
tweaked a bit more and its more or less the final at least foundational fluff i think
btw if you want an easy way to do ribbed tubing: roll the GS tube under a plastic comb.
ah shit thanks
oh nice
You'll get the same consistency so you can't really make like, bigger or smaller ribs but for most stuff it's fine.
https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/art/pipe-cable-tentacle-roller-complete If you have a printer on hand you can make your own roller too
This is a tool designed to aid in sculpting cables, pipes, or tentacles.
Simply print 2 plates, roll a sausage of your preferred modeling clay or putty, put it between the two textured surfaces of the plates (texture running in the same direction) and slide the top plate back and forth in the direction of the texture, applying gentle even press...
heh! that's a neat little device
could you folks give examples of the Aeldari being petty?
Well, that’s half of DEldar stuff
Lot of petty beefs
But unfortunately I can’t get something off the top of my head
what about cratf worlders being petty?
roller plates are very addictive
Very good digibash
I wonder how dark mec would look
Spikier and in more black
So basically goth
Jokes aside, probably a whole bunch of daemon engine shit, possibly including daemon engine cybernetics
Maybe throw in some salvaged/reverse-engineered xenos tech too
More insectile
skaven but space
like and the warp lightining cannons is fueled by like five psykers being tortured instead of a funny rock
P L E A S E give me darkmech,,,
I'd love to see dark mech happen (mechanicus was one of my favorite horus heresy books) but more than likely the closest we'd get is someone with vashtor as a cawl proxy alongside kitbashed ad mech forces. I hate to say
Armour done, skin in progress
does the Thousand sons warbands have any loyalty to Tzeench? I'm asking cause i know that doesn't matter to Tzeench
Lol no
They kind of hate him but keep doing what Tzeentch wants unwittingly, right?
Opinion is somewhat split and loyalty is a bit of a nebulous concept
The impression I get is they dislike Tzeench as an entity but are all about the principles he embodies
There are certainly those that take the gifts of Tzeentch happily
It depends entirely on the warband, basically.
As with most chaos, ye
You are comparatively less likely to find blind devotion though given the Rubric left only the strongest standing
Tzeentchian warbands are the only ones out of the 4 where some are trying to defy Tzeentch in some ass-backwards away. Ahriman most notably.
Every other warband following a chaos god is all-in on it.
Wellll
DG certainly will also have those less all-in
Mortarion is the shining example of such, even
Morty is a bit of an outlier there I think. Most other DG characters are pretty happy with Pappa Nurgle.
They don't really have much of a choice in the matter, more so than other gods
So you're looking for the distinction between "willing to do as they're told" and "happy to do as they're told"
I like undivided chaos who are super in
It's why I like chaos warriors and why I like WB
and why I made a warriors group so in on undivided they hate aligned warbands lol
I suspect I know the answer to this but how tricky is it to convert Heresy vehicles with the same chassis, like a Spartan into a Typhon? I feel like if people were selling conversion kits I'd have heard by now
i kind like the undevided chaos warrior vibe of a warrior who sees the gods as nothing but tools to their own power and thus need to carefully balance their devotions and offerings to retain their intependence (or their illusion of it depending on the story)
a sort of damned transactional relationship rather than one of religious fervor
Abaddon.jpg
For my group they see them as parasites
Like within my fluff they draw power from "pure" chaos
Which surfaces as evil glow energy and bale fire
And what exactly they are drawing on is very vague and conceptual but somehow it works
It's like the anti chaos god whose name I forget but more as a philosophy than a god lol
May I perhaps interest you in eternal siege warfare, big guns, demons only used as artillery shell payloads or robot pilots, and a heavy interest in marking industrial hazards?
If you like these things and crippling depression, the Iron Warriors are for you!
Hey! Those hazards are properly marked!
Exactly! We care about industrial saftey!
Which is why we mark all our dangerous equipment with proper warning labels!
Such as all our soldiers and weaponry!
The Iron Warriors: We have a better safety record in our factories than the Mechanicus.*
*Better safety record does not imply or attest to low amounts of industrial accidents, maimings, deaths, or mutations, only a comparative but slightly lesser level
Oh I'm already an iron warriors fan lol
My favorite chaos factions in no order are generally alpha legion, iron warriors, and black legion. But I do also like the thousands sons and world eaters
Alpha Legion is also very neat
Did a quick "a bit of everything" list with allies
Oh those cultists should have autoguns woops
If alpha legion ever got their own book it would be cool to lead cultists with individual csm sergeants
Yeah, Alpha Legion definitely have that whole military advisor role going on
Doing the thing special forces guys were in large part originally trained to do: spin up or expand an insurgency with just a few elite guys advising and training the local forces
I'd still love traitor guard or a cult codex Ngl
Yeah
Like I beg give us non marine chaos lol
The cultist army in HH kinda fills that role, I remember they had a bunch of neat modifiers to change the vibe of your particular army
Like going from them being brainwashed cultists, cybernetic dudes, beastmen, etc
Hey, the CSM codex does have one stat block for traitor guardsmen
That's basically a codex

I’m still playing 9th
I feel like my ideal traitor guardsman faction would be about exploring different aspects of the chaos gods than the space marines do
Also what do people here think of the whole inq28 movement
no idea what that is?
Kind of hard to explain
Massive kitbashing and diy rulesets
Turnip28 kinda spun off from that mindset
Yeah its a movement
inq28 is pretty much the best avenue for me to get the aesthetic i want in 40k
I just recall it being allot of the grimdark aesthetic and the sorta vibes modern mordheim gives me
That's the basis of the name and part of it yeah I think lol
probably started that way, then turned into a broader umbrella
Yeah thats the timeline
I could use a FOMO reality check
So I have a general game plan for building a 30k army, which I've talked about here before, and at least at present it involves a bunch of MkIII bodies (to convert into Breachers) and at least one Proteus to haul them around. With that in mind the new box set feels pretty tempting (even though I would probably resell the Dorito).
However, that box doesn't have stuff like characters I'd need to actually field the army, and I'll need time to figure out how I'm gonna go about the Breacher conversions. So should I just go for Age of Darkness, or jump at the limited-time savings on some key plastic?
For the record I do also plan on getting AoD, but I worry getting two big boxes at once will just create a pile of shame.
I'd do the time limited thing now and worry about AoD later
If you'll have fun painting the characters, go for those.
Yeah that's part of it, I think I could start painting AoD sooner
They also have the traitor enforcer datasheet, that’s two!
But 3 of each unit is only 405 points total so even boarding action is gonna need some cultists to fill it out
True, and you can use the infantry to test out a couple different techniques for your color scheme
This meme is still really funny
I'm going through my files
and I just found this again
I think I'll have my dukedom have an ongoing orc problem
Cuz bretts vs orcs is a cool aesthetic
FLESH HOUND on my shadespire team was a fucking nightmare to the point that i can't play khorne against my BF in that game
send your BF that meme
"Was this Ferrus again?" - Robby G, probably
It's apparently before lotd
Yeah by like 2 millenia.
Though with the way the warp is, could still be them (somehow)
Ghosts > Chaos This Post Made By Grand Alliance Death
chaos ghosts
whoa now
you know, orkz get little one man helicopters
primaris should have a lil helicopter with a lil primaris head sticking up out of it like the gunners for the speeders
tru
tbh my hot take is if any imperial faction gets a ghost unit it should be the sob imo
like via some weird desperate thing they find out with the right combination of prayers and rituals they can summon sanctified spirits of old sob or something
dont we already have ghosts in the form of the legion of the damned or whatever?
how canon or a thing they are these days is debatable
also id more call those imperial daemons ngl lol
i mean like honest to gods ghosts
Does the thing where you can play with different imperial armies combined still exist?
soup
nah not really? You can have allies from imperial agents, knights, and titans
but you can't really wombo combo armies
they did make dogs of war, but not like the fantasy one lol
the chaos knights armigers are dogs of war
so xenos mercenaries
legion are canon
noted
and human!
just like an ensemble "Mercenaries of the 40k universe" book?
id vibe with that, that'd be pretty cool
needa bespoke orky merc KT, though i suppose kommandos kinda fit that
we already have kroot farstalkers that are heavily mercc'd up
rogue traders can be cool
i stand by xenos mercs
would be cool to feature bespoke mercenary renegade sm
space marine mercenaries
we have enough stinky humans
bleh
stupid
bad
look im tired of humans as much as the next
but i like funny silly hats
xenos can have funny hats
are you saying they cant?
hell the funnies hats in warhammer are not human made
i wonder who else would have mercs. Eldar corsairs? Maybe Ranger mercs... Drukharii if hte payment is in people, I don't know if necrons would have mercs. LoV explicitly do have mercs and do merc work but would still be cool to have a unit more like... merc coded if that makes sense
nids definitely wouldn't have mercs
i mean ngl
xeno mercs should not be any existing xenos faction
gimme the weird shit
I mean, they already do exist, it would be weird to specifically exclude them
would it?
i dont really see why ngl
because its a book about mercs, but not THESE mercs, because arbitrary reasons
because we dont need even more rep of the existing
its a wargame give us new sculpts not just an excuse to reuse existing sculpts
It'd also be weird to intro mercs as a concept and then not allow the explicitly mercenary units that exist not be mercs because "they already exist"
i mean human mercs exist and id be annoyed at humans being in it
like i want wolfdawgs arts vibe tbh
Like kroot farstalkers exist. They are mercs. Possibly the most merc coded unit out there rn. If they aren't allowed to be "mercs" because they are a unit that already exists, that would be weird af to me
i mean heres my stance the more of prexisting stuff they shove in the less actual new stuff wed likely get. thats where my issue lies in it.
i dont want a new faction just to sell the same kits.
like if letting in all the existing ones didnt likely cause a noticeable lack of new kits then sure they can be in
wolfdawg should make their own 40k with blackjack
and hookers
their designs are always rad
theyre one of my fave warhammer fantartists
mostly what id want is just page space devoted to giving merc rules to existing "merc" units, but not photo space or lore space, since those are already in their own respective locations. A sort of "Oh you already have something thats a merc, here's how you can incorporate it"
for sure thatd be fine
Via like... "they have this keyword now, and this keyword works with any army with X limitations" or whatever
but like as someone whose already use to gw and is currently watching gw do its thing with old world a bit. id just not trust them to not go "one new kit the rest are just all the mercs tm we already made"

The Salamander in Pariah Nexus fucked
Yeah Sa'khan was cool
this is so cool
kinda wanna fit horseclaw/chocobo/axebeaks into some project now
Well there's The Old World right around the corner 🙃
probably gonna do wood elf if any for old world and they already have deer that I love and regular giant eagles
Nice, I thought it would slaves, but tzeentch is cool. I do wish they had cooler human models though, their tzaangor and kairic acolytes are the weakest designs of the human cultists of the devoted facions
rangers do merc stuff for rogue traders semiregularly
I really need to start checking the timestamps for stuff that I respond to
i like tzaangors but the kairic are very not the vibe for me
valid
ngl i wouldve loved slaves
but im biased
cuz im a forever slut for chaos warriors
i hope brettonia gets hoppogryph models
cuz ngl i prefer those to the pegasus
—Lord Gildas Frangeau, Bretonnian Noble```
this dude gets it
did some more tweaks with the big one being me realizing in fluff i cant really add dukedoms so made it a barony lol
I have good news
its finally done done i think lol
@lofty warren gib the goo news
did they get wrecked by the space wolves or something?
Huh, I'm surprised at Orks
Never underestimate da boys
It's so over fellow Kabalists
dang my joke didn't land
Do we know when the next data slate is supposed to be?
Mann i forgot how kick ass some of the fantasy orc sculpts are
the metamonday guy's 5-week WRs aren't quite so healthy tbf
And it being gorbad means this sculpt could totally return
not a huge amount in the higher side, but there are a few armies pulling lower WRs than the above
Man Ngl I am remembering how cool og orcs are
Like this fucks
https://www.warhammer-community.com/2023/10/19/heresy-thursday-deliver-dreadnoughts-and-shield-generators-with-more-drop-pods/ ooh, I didn't know about the shield generators, that's cool
And on top of it gobos share the love
Comparison with the GW stats
Looks like the armies able to go wide are climbing
Thanks to the recent point drops
Lov loving the grudge changes too
the midrange are certainly very healthy, much more so than pre-dataslate
it's just those sub-45s that sting

Idk why but I love orcs on boars
Btw somewhat bizarre question but how like badly would putting aos models on square bases mess up gameplay?
Old one creation bros WW@
Some AOS bases are way larger than WHFB. Chariots are on 120x92mm in AOS, whereas they were on 100x50mm in fantasy.
Largest infantry base was 25mm in fantasy, now it's 32mm in AOS.
Now you can get around some of this by putting square bases atop AOS ones when playing, usually with some blu-tac.
Hahaha tau are fine
hmm anyone got a 40k list theme for me to run around with?
Lol noted
You see that a Tau go-wide list heavily featuring Kroot did fairly well in a recent tourney?
Like with the current points IMO it's the strongest list
Being able to sit down and declare
Space Marines but it's "oops all other Imperials" as much as possible
hmmm, ok, I'm unsure how much I can do with ally rules as they are... but I suppose I'll find out
thoughts on the 40k card game?
combat cards? was fun, and decently possible without money; last time i played, a lot less friendly to free players imo
not particularly complex

@naive abyss I know I'm late to the party but I love Fantasy Orcs and Goblins, Grimgor is one of my fave characters, just the hardest motherfucker ever
I'm fond of the gobo characters and gorbad
Skarsnit and Grom are my favourite gobbos. Grom's whole deal of being a super-sized goblin rules (especially making his goblins not fear elves), and Karak Eight Peaks being a free-for-all between the Skaven, Dwarves and Goblins is so much fun
I don't know so much about AoS Orcs and Goblins but one thing I really loved about Fantasy greenskins is they don't just break stuff, they break your shit, kick your ass and then get dug in. Half the issue with reclaiming dwarven holds is the defences can often still be used, just now by orcs
Been rereading the siege of terra books to ramp up towards the The End and the Death V2, and jeez, I really think they are quite well done.
Had an idea for edgy Horus Heresy Ultras that wouldn't have any mechanical effect and would be inefficient to source bits, but: give random characters specialist weapons from enemy legions, say they're trophies
Ever since I heard the story about that censured guy at Calth I've liked the idea of "Ultramarines like mucking about with weird swords"
thats why yvraine and robbie G get along so well
swords
honestly they say that the Ynnari are all about the nascent eldar god of the dead, but I think its just the nerdiest sword nerds in the entire Aeldari species forming their own sword cult
"Haha yeah, we need to find the like 5 coolest swords in Aeldari history. For the Ynnead of course. Definitely."
My main thing with aos greenskins is I adore gloomspite
Just gobos dialed up to ten
For real, they do rock
Ye ye
i like that dragon mount they have
the one they gotta beat on a screaming competition before they can tame it
what was it called again?
yes!
It always looks like a roided wyvern to me which isn't necessarily a bad thing lol
And wyverns were the flying mounts of Old World orcs
i like it cause of how grumpy it is
Valid
My fave mount model for aos is probably some of the stuff stormcast have
Like the new characters dragon and the hippohryphs
oh stop the presses, new recruit has the new detachments for SM?
gotta make a new wolfspear list using vanguard detachment
Built like a movie poster
lol something i just realized, Wolf Scouts now cost like 40 more points than a normal scout squad
putting a lot of value on that power weapon being an option
not very meta, but it feels cool
going back through and adjusting theme lists with more appropriate detachments feels fun
gun drone?
finally, tau accepting the superior gun technology
well the ironhead borrowed a few spare drone parts a while back
Tau gun drone with a pump action shotgun taped to it energy
So humble bundle has an interesting offer related to the warhammer ttrpgs.
With GWs realse of the new Tuskboss on Maw-Grunta I decided to knock up a Beastboss on Squigasaur for Orks in Warhammer 40K. Kitbashing this fella it soon became apparent he needed something a bit more '40k', so taking inspiration from some old Ork fluff he became a rear wheeled CyBoar!
Hope you enjoy, and if you're interested in other Warhamme...
man this conversion fucks
im trying to use a contrast for the soft cloth elements of my tau atm
so far seems to work?
it's really good with a preshade
im a dumb butt of course and my basecoat is a metallic, so the bloth always seems vaguely metallic unless i do more than one layer
pre-shade like an oil pass or?
ah in that scenario I'd recommend getting back to a matte black by brushing on abaddon black or equiv
preshade is when you like, paint the value (light-to-dark) and then add the colour on top
notably you can do so really quick with a zenithal spray (spraying white on a dark base from above so the top gets highlighted) or by drybrushing the same (highlighting the raised areas of the model, like in slapchop)
and then with a translucent coat like a shade/glaze or a contrast paint the value will show through but be tinted the desired hue
ahh yeah, so im working with fewer resources so I'd say that its prolly not an option atm
though i do have abby black if i wanted to do additional passes
gotta weigh how much i want to for basic firewarriors vs if i think im fine with/happy with not doing so
this paint job fucks
Very good NMM
also still gotta test my accent color for my battlesuits
its like a bright pink/purple
which looks pretty nice in that it pops
btw
age og sigmar orks
in 40k green skin is a slur
what about age of sigmar tho
are they actually called green skins?
yeah its like not shiny nmm its like grungey nmm which idk i dont see often and it looks great
as a collective whole yes
also idk if its even like a slur ngl lol
i think its just a convenient umbrella term to say all variants of violent fungoid that were dealing with
i asked about that once and folks said yes
so i just thought of it that way ever since
for sure
it kinda is but is also probably the orks preferred collective term at the same time
not that the orks would care they would probably take that as a compliment
also like it helps prevent when writing about them from just saying ork so often it becomes a meaningless word to the reader lol
which isn't necessarily contradictory
for sure
i have no like strong feelings
ive just never really though of that so much as an umbrella term and way to like vary word usage in the writing lol
on another note. im like so bemused at this critique of the new bretonnian foot knights lol
if only cuz this is one of my fave "classic" warhammer fantasy models
cuz like giant gorgets are just sorta a universal thing to me in warhammer lol
that model fucks pretty hard
makes me sad its only brettonia getting a refresh rn
ive played historicals GW gimmie the weird shit
well its not a refresh really
but supposedly tomb kings, empire, and orc/gobs are getting a few new things too
the one im happy about is the boar chariot for the lads getting updated based on current rumors
new imperial models mean new theoretic mordhiem fodder tho
like 6 are imperial related if you count vampires witch ill admit are only imperial as they are counts
out of 13
err 12
its modeled after how a lot of real world slurs work
which iiiis uncomfortabe!
if it makes you feel better they are ostenisbly the worst thing you could ever meet
pound for pound
i mean i guess?
theres a very decent argument thats a daemon or like various other chaos things
If you're slinging slurs at an ork, you probably don't like them. If you don't like them, you're more likely to try to kill them. Trying to kill them means a fight. Orks like fighting
Ergo, orks likely actively encourage terms of derision amongst the other races and factions in the setting
Also, if you yell an insult at an ork, it's a great excuse to attack you, regardless if whether or not they felt insulted
i still love the ork/orc word for dwarfs
stunties
its just such peak orciness of a word
I'm the farsight novels the orks refer to the tau as "gun-runts"
Painted a night world camo howling griffons sergeant :)
just as a one off thing
inspired by lots of nights falling asleep to cult of paint haha
need to go back and brighten up the weapon markings
need to invest some time into a proper shooting box one of these days
nice nice
I like her headdress thingy
Oh I like that.
It does seem like a very... reasonable compromise for a Howling Griffon.
:D
I mean all power to anyone who wats to do the quad-color thing
the heads overall fuck ngl
like unironically the new foot knights sorta sold me on the fantasy of bretonnia lol

WARNING : FUCKMOTHERING STORMBOLTER
granted most people dont need the hazard stripes to realize that the storm bolter should be avoided but in the name of safety it was reccomended
by space OSHA
hmm, should have gotten a "no dont eat" and "front towards enemy" in there
ooohhhh, nice!
(But yeah, who is putting hazard stripes on everything? "In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war, and the occupational safety and health administration"')
for one it looks cool and humans like that but also i think its something that sort of lost its meaning in 40,000 years?
like from industerial hazard to just anything thats hazardous
like a gun
or a space marine
Yeah I actually had seen that suggested, and whatever I dig it.
The association of black and yellow stripes retains some association with danger, so people use it to be threatening.
Of course, this is 40K, where the aliens who got robo-skeletonized happened to have a pyramids-and-scarabs aesthetic during the later Cretatious period, "it's just like that don't worry about it" is the only answer to like 90% of the setting.
They had the Mayor Dave mini handy.
dare i ask whomst
Judge Dredd. For a while Mega-City One elected an orangutan named Dave to be Mayor.
Not, like, a hyperintelligent orangutan or an orangutan that could speak or anything. They just voted an ape from a zoo to be mayor because who doesn't love an orangutan?
and Citadel used to make Judge Dredd minis back in the day, and so when they were writing their original IP do not steal they put in the Arbites and the Jokero for anyone who, y'know, might happen to have some Judge Dredd minis sitting around the house.
god its been a really long time since ive read dredd
Dredd is great, and also you definitely get an idea of just how much, uh, inspiration the old GW crew was getting from their copies of 2000 AD
Dredd is something i love but i cannot reccomend to anyone because boy when the joke is facism sometimes it just reads as facism and people aint that good at reading these days
not a strong decade for reading comprehension
Have any of them been
Yeah, genuinely literacy has been kinda cratering in the US over the past 2 decades ish
man ngl im still puzzled by why i really like bretts vs orcs/gobs
like its still not dorf vs orc/gobs but still
and for some bizarre reason my brain doesnt demand i make my warhammer fantasy army ideas be paired off in rival sets
maybe due to the fact like they all can concievably encounter each other while still being my own made up blorbos
seeing as the setting where most shit happens is smaller than the continental US lol
ill give AoS this i think their Orrcks or whatever have a stronger vibe than the older lands
i like gloomspite
but beyond that i prefer the og
the new stuff is good though
just idk im still so in love with boar boyz
and beyond the newer giant boar aos orcs dont really have that for me
i like thats what the gruntas are suppose to be
but i just find their design weird
like its like in a sorta uncanny valley of i know its meant to be a boar of some kind but it isnt really?
love the new big boar though
still debating since seeing the 40k cyboar conersion vid with it if i wanna try to convert it for my 40k warboss or use teh artel model i like
I had the pleasure of visiting Rick Priestley at his home and chatting with him on the creation and development of Warhammer Fantasy Battle! In this video we cover the very early days of the game, and what was going on behind the scenes with the company.
There will be a part 2 of this interview, covering 4th-6th edition fantasy.
Please do like...
hmm
we were talking about "green skims" earlier
and even of it's a stlir i cant help but think about an ork taking that as a compliment
cause "green makes u da best"
well in most fluff they love like shit talking
like in all settings talking shit is a past time for them usually lol
they sure do
i can see it yeah
the skatross seems pretty controversial, some people love it and lots of others hate it
its grown on me
besides, don't the admech already have tall, long legged, easy-to-snipe walkers already?
this guy
ironstrider
lot of people hate the ironstrider too
i like skatros but its pose leaves something to be desired
conceptually though its great
I love everything about the ironstrider except its price tag
I started 40k with a box of skitarii, and then realized that I had picked the most expensive army in the game per point of model
At which point I switched to knights
yeah, poorhammer did a video on it and ad mech were mathematically the worst
I'm a weirdo who likes the ironstrider with auto canons
I know lascannon is like gospel
Autocannos have a good kinda mid-range roll, where they can put out enough shots to put a reasonable dent in squads but also be damaging enough to harm a tank/creature and being a tad cheaper
But I guess some of that has gone out the window with the “no cost upgrades” thing
Autocannons are quite solid into Dreads and the like
I'm not trying to gatekeep but if someone doesn't love the Ironstrider I have to wonder what they think Warhammer 40,000 is.
I don't like a lot of AdMech models but the Ironstrider does fuck
The Skatros is just amazing
Very silly (positive)
"neeeh it's goofy it needs to be really serious like when Vikings in power armor fight space elves with guns that shoot ninja stars"
i adore the dumbshit 40k models
the floating chariot being pulled along big giant space wolves?
fuck yeah
I mean someone can just not like the design without it being a "it's too goofy" thing lol
and in that chariot is a man named Wolf the wolf of the planet wolf? even better
Yeah, sorry, you're right, 100% fair.
It's like how I don't like the admech transport really
Cuz like it's a bit too just straight ww2 for me lol
Yeah like, I think the AdMech fliers suck aesthetically
Also like I know what the HH ones look like
My preference is much more in 30k Taghmata
Same though I ping pong a bit
Like I like silly admech but sometimes I wish they still had more of the like Idk cyborg horror
Like its there still but Idk
But yeah it's definitely not a thing of too silly though for me lol
Considering my goof ass Napoleonic militarum lol
I mostly wish their ground transport had legs
Admech fliers should be biplanes
Id have liked like weird vtols
Live just weird like propellor thing
Hell like a 40k gyrocopter would've fit
will they fix the problems with the osprey?
No
good.
It's even worse
It will demand even more sacrifices
Lol
fuck hang on i have a picture
Oh it's far worse
Lol
Lmao
God I love that picture so much
this photo pulls me back in time
Every time I see it I laugh
They maybe could but whatever’s going on with it now is way funnier
i feel my knees turn to dust
Peak marine corps core
Are you ex-military, Atlas?
Similar vibe:
donkeh
no i shattered my leg getting hit by a truck, but my entire family is
oof
my sister joined the core in my sted
Is that a fucking gun mount on a donkey lol
they got their blood one way or another
Not just a gun, a MK 12 grenade machine gun
Though it’s definitely just being transported
Lol
The first ifv lol
THERE CALLED ZOOMBURUK
I’m pretty sure you might be able to set it up to fire, but you’d have to train the donkey to not react
Lol yeah
the one that really got me was diving out of a car on the highway, that got me a pretty cool head scar
i am happy to live a boring life in the woods with my dog now
a very well armed boring life
My brother loves the ironstridee but not the skatros
Oh huh yeah it does occur to me with auto cannon changes, it shoots most things pretty well, but does not shoot real big things well
Str 9 is solid against, truly, lighter vehicles and all types of infantry
The cliche answer is Khorne
Orks, obviously
The funny answer is Tzeentch cultists baiting idiot khornates into coming there
Also necrons
Halo stars
Chock full of then horrors unknown and unknowable
Can't huck a rock but for striking a eldritch beast from before the concept of thought and life
I love the concept of a halo device, despite all those horrors there's still something in there ticking away
Granted that tech also gives birth to more horrors but ya know
No appreciation for ornithopters?
Didn't they get one
Yeah the Archaeopters
Ngl i find it hilarious how many times I've had to remind myself this isn't a chaos lord lol
Honestly I kinda love it
I really like the dragon design
And I continue to be like "yup definitely making this a chaos lord"
dragons sided with sigmar ever since that fateful time a dragon just casually survived the end of time and buddied up with sigmar
Well that was (implied) to be Sotek
And my headcanon is because they shared the comet
This in no way is gonna stop me
And tbh I find it lame that it's just "no dragons for chaos"
When imo they look the coolest on dragons lol
Also early on khorne had a dragon via fw in aos
Idk how canon it is now but still
But either way my lords dragon has fluff to justify it as is lol
Oh was it? I'd actually presumed it was one of the sleeping celestial dragons from Calador or possibly the emperor of Cathay
When I'd read that bit like a long long way back, I'd not gathered the idea that it was implied to be Sotek
I mean isn't it literally dracothion?
Like I thought it was stated to be him
No yeah it's dracothion
oh yep there it is; admittedly I'd read the end times stuff a long ass time ago
and i don't remember the dragon being named there; but it very easily could have been
Yeah it's Dracothian but Dracothian is implied to be Sotek
Is it? Looking through the lexicanum it didn't seem like it?
Also it seems there's fluff to support chaos dragons
Like it mentions that dracothion had a chat with the slann and felt real bad about the death of the world that was
but didn't seem to imply that they were sotek the whole time
Dracothian is a giant star lizard associated with the Heavens, destiny, foresight, friends with Sigmar, enemy of Chaos and ESPECIALLY Skaven
And the Lizardmen are now wholly associated with stars as well
It's never outright confirmed but it makes a ton of sense to me.
I've been working on this undivided chaos warrior army idea and I'm currently going insane by how AoS bases things.
There's shockling no consistency here.
Fucking...chaos knights are on 75x42mm bases, as are the much bigger varanguard. You'd think knights would be on 60x35mm like a lot of other mounted models but nope!
Hellstriders are on 60x35mm, which makes sense! But huh wow Seekers of Slaanesh, which use basically the same goddam mount model, is...70x25mm.
Seekers especially are odd because the PDF that GW put out about base sizes in matched play put them at 60x35, but the webstore has'em on 70x25.
Weird
Very.
Good thing I'm a collector lol
Like I'm just gonna put seekers on 60x35 since that makes the most sense but knights especially are like...why.
That's a ton of footprint real estate going on.
I wonder how archaons base is gonna compare to the new dragon dude
Also another odd thing: daemonettes are on 25mm, whereas plaguebearers, bloodletters, and pink horrors are on 32mm.
For what reason? Fuck if I know.
holy shit archaeon is on a 160mm base
what in the god damn
In fairness it's a big model
His mounts way too big tbh
He gets so lost in it
Which is a shame cuz I like the idea of the mount
Just wayyyy to big
It very much suffers from early aos business
It's kind of a mess of a model.
I have the same problem with the bloodthirster in that both are kind of a mess and have a bad silhouette.
At least AoS has official base sizes. 40k doesn't and sometimes they just change them lol
God, yeah. 40k has never had official base sizes beyond "what the model came with" which is a real shit way of doing it.
Like cool my 3e daemon prince came on a 40mm base, what'cha gonna do about it
Tbh I've recently fallen in love with the old gorbad model
wrong base here but just Idk it's just good to me lol
Similar feelings about the boar boyz tbh
Also I'm oddly nostalgic for this specific style of box gw hadlol
on a completely seperate note, boards that big in all honesty are far more terrifying than i think they're given credit for
That big as in what?
You mean boars?
Oh lol
I mean yeah the boars in the fluff are meant to be scary
Boars in general are scary
yeah, im mostly saying that because boards in irl are effectively tiny compared, and yet still are incredibly dangerous
I mean there's boars that big irl
Also your phone refuses gym acknowledge the existence of boar lol
there's an irony here
there's no boar species that hits as big as the ones orks ride on average
considering how tall an ork is compared to a man, every single one of those boards is standing as tall or taller than human
dammit
get 'em on elks
at this point i need to make a board riding ork
or moose
I mean I'll be real razorbacks can get really big
The tallest boar ever recorded was I think like
5 foot at the shoulder
Which is CLOSE
ork riding one of these
riding those with boars painted on them
The welves own that look lol
I love orcs on boars Ngl
And dwarfs on ram/goats
Tbh that's the one thing I wish og fantasy had but I get why they didn't
really what im saying is that a boar that size is many times scarier than like... a horse or even a normal moose
magic meese need not apply
I'd rate it the same as a moose but I'll agree to the horse
Oh yeah even a regular pig will kill you
Yeah
Late but rogue trader is awesome
So excited they are making a video game of it
In general I feel like "Not a horse but something actually worthwhile in a fight" is under utilized
Generally I agree
Warhammer loves that shit though lol
Like most factions have at least one thing like that lol
i see the like "These boar boys a broad equivalent to knights as shock cav" vibe and i think to myself "Nah, them boars gonna make a mockery of shock cav on horses. Only point against them is orks don't use lances; but lances also don't come with wings so even a mortally wounded boar is taking the horse with it."
i have no idea why my phone refuses to acknowledge the idea of a boar being a thing
its board or bore
Well horses in warhammer are just built different allot of the time lol
Like I think that's vaguely in the fluff
Especially brett ones
ah yeah thats fair blessings and magic and generalized fantasy lineage might bridge the gap
And they do just honest to gods have flying horses lol
And hippogryphs
And with the empire there's the demigryphs which also are cool
Cool models too
I'm hoping to convert the imperial general on gryphon as a hippogyph for my baroness
Falling that I found a good stl
Cuz I way prefer this to the Pegasus Ngl
demigryphs are sick, one of my favorites
gryphons too
i like the idea of pegasus knights far more than i do the actual appearance
Hippos are also good lol
as they already feel a bit goofy? Which is weird to say with a game with as many enjoyably goofy aesthetics in it; but the pegasus knight visually for some reason just kinda doesn't work for me
I've never been big on Pegasus
It feels not leaned into flight animal for me
Which is an odd sentiment I know but still
I have no issue with bretts having them but I'll just use hippos instead
i know you mean hippogryphs, but i did have a chuckle at the idea of brettonian hippo knights; with hippos blessed by ze lady
I posted a fluff quote a while back I liked that's about that
"Brettonians will turn anything into a mount given half a chance"
I mean hippo cav could be cool tbh
agreed
Not as bretts imo but still
—Lord Gildas Frangeau, Bretonnian Noble```
Reposting
Cuz tbh it's a cool quote
Also I like the dynamic with hippos being like very "you gotta earn riding one"
Bretonnian Chargers are indeed built different
My knightboy Aiden's mount Milo was based off Argo from Shadow of the Colossus
Agro, not Argo
Basically the canonical height difference
Comically large horse and comically short man
Aiden went a-venturin' when he was 16
Lol
Man Ngl Im enjoying how ironically freeing for me the size of fantasies setting is to me
Cuz it's so small that brain doesn't get stuck in a lurch having my homebrew and etc actually all have fought each other or etc
Cuz it's like way more conceivable than in 40k or aos for me lol
comically large lance i hope
Just wanted to hop in because I noticed the convo while skimming the chat. The seraphon view dracothion and sotek as separate celestials/old ones and have separate starborne hosts modelled after them
I would not trust hippo cav not to try to eat friendlies, including the rider
Hippos are mean
Also they’re not especially fast
Heya.
Does anyone here play KillTeam? :3
I've been meaning to get into tabletop and kill team seems like a good start point
Especially since Necrons are getting some pretty good stuff in it 👀
Ye
A bunch of people here, yeah
oh perfect! On which platform? I have set up on TTS
thats where we did last as well
Oh perfect, how usually is organized here to ask for a game of KT?
uhh... not really at all lol; you kinda just ask if anyone wants to play a game of KT and then hash out the details after
with someone who says yeah
Oh nice! Thank you
same kinda goes, honestly, for normal 40k games; just isn't like super common
Well this is helpful. Lol
So uh
Something about T'au IDK
T’au are muchos cool, I wish they had more lore
I got a WH40k discussion going in #lancer-general asking about making Lancer frames, and possibly a manufacter, inspired by the T'au Empire.
Glad this thread was made.
Tbh I think that T'au are the only faction that actually feels like a 100% sci-fi faction and I kinda respect that
Agreed
I can’t believe there’s sci-fi in my space fantasy
I want my FUCKING SPACE DWARFS
And then there were the people complaining that the T'au weren't dark enough for WH40k and even that their design was too 'anime'. Lol
Their tactics are actually based on modern-day military tactics instead of being some weird approximation of historical armies so I like that too
THE VOTANN DON'T EVEN HAVE A STORY BOOK
1 YEAR OF EXISTENCE
0 BOOKS
It’s not even anime!!! It’s mil-tech
And they’re based for it
I mean I love my Necrons but even I gotta admit that they're basically just a stand-in for an "undead" faction
Leagues of Votann are a thing too
Tecno-undead
Aren't they a more recent addition though?
Yeah, AI have rights there
yep!
They’re coming back from the bone zone
well sorta
Still chanting CIB CIB
they're new as a faction, but squats have been around for a VERY LONG TIME
They're close but like
They're basically dwarves
Dwarves that see this as people
The Leagues are really cool tho
I could honestly ramble on my thoughts about the T’au for a while
I've been a tau fan for forever myself
Heck yeah
My favorite is how people say they are commies but like
They are a CASTE System ffs
if gw aren't cowards then meatkin will be the canon name for non ironkin kin
I do think a lot of surface level tau fans kinda miss the darker overtones because of the bright colors
AI have rights in the imperium!
Union would get along with farsight I think, which is high praise for a 40k faction
It’s right to destroy them
It’s right to annihilate them
It’s right to abhor them etc
A repost, something I can very much see adapted to Lancer. With NSPs and drones in general.
https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/T'au_Drone
Called Kor'vesa in the T'au Lexicon, is a form of robotic artificial intelligence extensively utilised by the T'au Empire for a variety of combat and non-combat purposes. The mobile variants of T'au Drones exist in the form of sleek, disk-shaped machines which are well-armoured and equipped with small, anti-gravitic engines and manoeuvring jet-thrusters so that they can hover and skim across the ground. As they hover over landscapes, rotating back and forth, their sensor vane(s) constantly transmits vital information about their surroundings. These types of Drones are most commonly seen employed alongside the warriors of the Fire Caste.
Although small and somewhat innocuous, those foes that underestimate T'au Drones often pay for such a costly mistake with their lives. However, drone intelligences can also be found built into a great number of technologies developed by the T'au Earth Caste. There are many different types of drones utilised by the T'au in varying roles; these can range from mundane civilian uses to multiple combat roles.
People see "greater good" and scream "COMMIE" because McCarthyism is alive and well
I mean, Farsight goes to great lengths to break down the lines between castes, but like... the enclaves are still an isolationist military junta
Yeah, is not like "Mind control"
Is cultural control, is shaddier, is subtle
it corrupts your children
They’re a strict hierarchical system with a veeeery clearly defined ruling class.
The Ethereals are obviously the bousgoius and the other castes the proletariat.
This tbh
I mean there's also the actual mind control that is the foundation of their society
I ignore that because I don’t like it
Also, the sense of galactic manifest destiny
Votann problem is that they forgot how to fuck they are all clones
Yeah kinda feels like a cop-out to make them more "grimdark"
The mind control is debatable. Especially since that one Xenology book is no longer canon and very much Imperium bias. A tech priest.
I mean
yeah debatable is right
but there's plenty of evidence for it other than xenology
Well, its not psychic in nature from what's been discussed; as far as I know the exact nature of hte effect ethereals have on Tau citizens remains clear but enigmatic in nature
The clones are pretty stable tho
Their real problem is that they can't repair their god computers that have been running for several millennia
Would be better if it was 'mind control'
As in
They make you want to do what htey want by their culture, like how a Shogun makes a Samurai kill children for 'honor'
Cultural prapaganda I'd allow, but straight up mind control I'd argue fiercely as a T'au Empire main player.
AI dementia , ya
Besides, imo cultural propaganda makes a much better story
So obviously it's mind control, because GW have the best writers ever
Honestly it’s even scarier it’s cultural instead of any sort of… mind control, which I find stupid and complete derails their narrative.
Yeah I was gonna say Union is probably not gonna be a huge fan of a totalitarian military dictatorship even if that’s a high point for 40K governance
tbf, the calming effect of Ethereals on Tau has been documented since like... 1st edition
agreed
Yeah that's the Genestealers stick
I'd still argue that anything you can throw shade at towards the T'au Empire, other factions, ESPECIALLY the Imperium of Man, do so worse.
1st ed of tau, no 1st ed of 40k to clarify
The imperium is not a high bar of governance
Yeah the “there’s something up with ethereals” lore is quite old
Fair enough.
They would probably send administrators instead of war fleets though
the nature of 40k canon is that both are kinda true
I also see my family in the T’au because they all grew up in the east bloc of Europe.
The imperium is a cautionary tale of governance
But many still seems to see the Imperium as the heros somehow.
I mean the explanation of ethereals having some kind of pheremone isn't that bad considering how quickly they went from the Stone Age to being a notable presence in the galaxy
And the old lore about the Tau being an Eldar project for unknown reasons
Or hints of that anyway
Though I think GW has kind of abandoned that angle?
I think that was the xenology contribution yeah
I don’t remember it coming up much in a while
I hope, for the good of the setting, that we don't get a clear answer to this question.
Agreed
Old lore is kinda eeehahaheahajahdks…
But I do hope we get more T’au books written by more authors than one guy
you know what I want?
A resolution for the yellow king
That too!
because right now is a nothing burger >:V
im perfectly comfortable with Ethereals having a very clear manipulative effect on other tau that is explicitly not psychic but otherwise rather mysterious and enigmatic
GW is fairly good about not doing “Han’s last name is solo because he traveled alone and needed a fake last name that one time” style over explanation
Which like, thank fuck
What do you mean? We have Jerry Space
The pheremone idea is still from that Xenology book of a tech priest dissenting aliens. Questionable writing aside I am glad it isn't canon anymore.
I personally think the pheromones lore is dumb because of much more mundane reasons
The Tau WEAR MASKS A LOT
arkhan land and amar astarte being the reference here
Also if such reverence is so deeply ingrained in their culture it makes sense
You can’t pheromone someone who’s got their own NBC-tier filter or self contained breather
Honestly at times I trust more a Ork Mek than a Tech Priest because Tech Priests sometimes just
Don't really know how their shit actually work?
its also a bit fun that even Farsight feels the effect when in the presence of the ethereals
its not like directly mind control
but like a powerful emotional effect
ethereals don't be going "ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL"
Yeah, is like , all of your life you been conditioned to respect and see Ethereals as that ultimate being
Is conditioning, manipulative, not psyker mind control
Xenology is less “not canon” and more “explicitly the ravings of a semi-lucid tech-priest fabricating or massaging results which justify his lab to the inquisition so he’s not a heretic”
Anyways uh… here’s my guy 👍
Homeboy is making shit up
BIG GUY
heck, establishing the enclaves was a source of great personal consternation for Farsight; he didn't literally go "Fuck them Ethereals, we're gonna make our own place with blackjack and hookers"
On a kinda unrelated note, anyone here ever heard of the Q'Orl? They're a race of intelligent ants that supposedly have one of the biggest empires in the galaxy and apparently have tech that easily rivals that of the Imperium.
But for some reason GW just kinda doesn't mention them anywhere.
https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Q'orl
Then again... their main source of lore is from Xenology and some expansion of the Dark Heresy TTRPG so maybe they were just retconned out of existence.
The Q'Orl, also known scientifically as Bestiola Superior, are a type of intelligent, advanced insectoid aliens that lived in the galaxy and were native to the Swarmworld Loqiit, located in the Segmentum Pacificus.[1]
Yeah
ANd Farsight still believes in the 'greater good'
Because Farsight still believes in the greater principle of The Greater Good and the preservation of the foundations of Tau society
I'd be fine with this!
I mean that’s what it is
He comin to get ya (shoot you from 60”)
good guy!
He keeps coming to convenient conclusions for the Imperium
oh yall tau players got any custom sept lore you wanna just drop in?
Man
The Imperium is so fucked
“You can end the ork menace with antifungals haha”
T'Au: dropping sick massive mechs
Ad Mech:
I do not, I simply have a sick color scheme for my guys
“Just poison the root tyranid (the ripper) they can’t adapt around that”
valid and still cool as heck
“The Tau aren’t an ideological opponent or problem they just use kind control”
Im going for a metallic color scheme atm
Etc
This is really fucking funny
Heck yeah
It’s actually a neat piece of lore if it’s true
Less a Sept and more the idea thst my army is a left behind isolated unit scraping together whatever they can with guvesa allies and without any Etherals so a scraped together command structure
That the “original tyranid” is the Ripper or a common ancestor of it and all other Tyranids are descended from psychic land piranhas from another galaxy
I doooo… pulls out a piece of paper
I just can't fucking get over the fact that there's this big fucking empire that is potentially more of a threat than several playable factions and it's just not mentioned anywhere except for like two books
It’s so mundane I love it personally
My custom sept story is, in broad terms, a recent expansion project headed by Sacea, converting a hive world that surrendered up to Tau standards; and i sit the narrative present to be in the middle of that, with overworked members of every caste in the coalition work with mostly well meaning humans to convert the hive's tech and infrastructure while also having to deal with Imperial, Genestealer, and chaos insurrectionists, along with an orkoid infestation at the bottom levels
I’m skeptical of the “attack the Ripper DNA” strategy but I like the origin
Have some lore for this funky fella!
Shas’el Vior’la Shi’he…
My T’au
and the coalition leader juggles the work of bringing the greater good to the hive and avoiding doing what Shadowsun did when she discovered gsc in a hive
every major set back has him like... finding any excuse not to do that, cause he believes in the potential of the place
pilots a enforcer crisis suit as his hero's mantle, its upgraded armor serving him well in the tight confines of hive tunnels
Make the hive world an awakening tomb world to really make things extra spicy
Also, hot take, the Emperor was a terrible father who slow loss of humanity from so many centuries of life caused him to not realize the way he treated his primarchs and how he tried to handle the existence of the Chaos Gods by trying to hide their existance was wrong... It is what allowed them to win, with so many of his sons falling prey to their temptations and manipulations. Especially not letting Magnus know what he was doing, so he wouldn't consider the most brute force way of getting a message to his father to warn him about Horus or be tricked by Tzeenech. It was the Emporer's fault.
That's ice cold:p
I was running with my commander being Shas'El J'Karra Che'Lel/Commander Mirrored Lightning
Not even that hot of a take a lot of people agree that the Emperor's overall plans were kinda dumb
And that he was a terrible dad
The funny thing with tau being called commies to me are craftworlds and the lov are way closer to that lol
Yeah the CWE are the real commies
They are a… Ghostkeel pilot and their mentor was also a Ghostkeel pilot and did a lot of sneaky stuff and information gathering.
They pride themselves on their ability to sneak around and gather information for the Ethereal commander and has taken control over their cadre a few times.
One instance they and their mentor and the remains of a conventional cadre (without an ethereal) had to work together with a shattered battalion of Guardsmen against a genestealer cult that woke the fuck up.
To say it again: People see "greater good" and scream "COMMIE" because McCarthyism is alive and well
Okay I don't know what is wrong with me today. Almost all day I have been making way too many typos and mistakes in my posts. Sighs
While lov are like socialist meritocratic hyper materialists lol
its definitely a thought, but on one hand yes, on the other is it a bit silly to have all those different elements at the same time? Makes Shadowsun's strat that much more enticing I'd think
Oh for sure
Don't worry about it too much
Is the T'au economic model hinted at anywhere?
At some point or another Commander J'kara gotta be like "Shit's fucked man, I don't think I can salvage this". It's a possible outcome, but for now, they remain steadfast
God bless
There are mild hints all over, but nothing really concrete
Shi’he is more… “fuck it we ball, for tau’va”
I think they basically have a total command economy?
I don’t remember any discussion of private enterprise or a market or anything
Honestly I think the setting you got going on works pretty well
I just suggested the planet being a tomb world because I gotta represent my favorite faction
(It may be in lore I haven’t read)
I need to uh… work on the oneshot of Shi’he in the encounter with the Guardsmen
Random but I'm glad shadowsun has her own mcguffin now
What's funny, is that the T'au Empire are really the ONLY faction actually trying to form alliances with others, believe fully in the idea of working together and uniting for a better future and not screwing each other over. The only faction not allowing hatred and fear to control them or their actions.
It always felt weird that farsight only had one
I do run Commander J'kara as a closet Farsight Sympathist who sends supplies to the enclaves on the dl; but also thinks that maybe FS took things too far because of his Vior'lan hot blooded nature. He also presumes that Farsight has been doing the Stasis tango and doesn't realize Farsight is effectively immortal
What is her mcguffin?
Surprises me how the Eldar dont make alliences with the tau
I mean that's also true of the votann more or less
Aeldari see the tau as ignorant and naive children mostly
As a whole, I agree
Although Imperium/Eldar alliances do occasionally happen. I mean hell I think one craftworld has an Inquisitorial Embassy on it.
Fucking Elfs
they do interact with tau on neutral terms occassionally; but the aeldari don't really forge lasting alliances or anything with em; and they certainly don't think twice about deflecting trouble onto tau over fellow aeldari
I mean it's because the tau go " join us" and like most eldars cells start to vibrate in anger at that
Remember though how every time these alliances break apart because of either the Imperium and/or Eldar betraying the other.
Anyways uh, I keep rotating my OC in my head
She is the like uhhh "prophet" of the "goddess" of the greater good
What are you referring to btw, as far as shadowsun's mcguffin?
The goddess of WHAT
The whole goddess thing
There was also that one (in)famous Blood Angels and Necron alliance and Trazyn the Infinite as a whole but those are aren't really statistically significant in terms of how open the faction is to alliances.
theres a warp entity representing the collective belief in the greater good sourced from the mass belief of guevesa, kinda. They met it when crossing the cicatrix maledictum
Oh god
Goddess T'au'va is a Warp Entity that has recently been created. She is the personification of the Tau and their guiding principles.[1a]
It seriously pissed shadowsun off
Yeah she's not a fan
True. There was that big thing where Yvraine helped revive the big poster boy Primarch, with the two of them actually leaving on amicable terms though as the one big alliance example
Though now with jokes that the primarch now has an Eldar gf. Lol
There's not really any like... lasting alliances amongst the bigger major factions in the setting tbh. most factions do end up in alliances of convenience with others though
and some last longer than others
Votann are just like "give us minerals we give you guns"
Rock and Stone…
Does that mean the tau are starting to have a warp participation?
Because i am down for Chaos T'au
Votann are just like "give us minerals we give you guns"
Sometimes it isn't an offer
Warp doesn't mean chaos inherently either
water spider in the farsight novels got posessed
ROCK AND STONE
Tau just haven't particularly changed much in regards to the "We have almost no presence in the warp and skate by generally undetected and unregarded"
Yeah though it's very rare with tau
Common T’au W Ngl
The entity is due to the psychic races the tau have mostly
Fair
I love how kin treat the warp
"Mind Science" for the tau
they're totally gonna figure it out
just give the Earth Caste time
Just as a resource rich but like deep sea space region
I love that the kin have AI navigators and that the Votann themselves somehow have a warp presence
Anyways uh… have fun discussing Warhammer, imma come back when it’s a bit slower
Aka dangerous and requires diving suits
