The problem with that was gun ivy scales well but starts out at pretty bad actual damage. Your best skill in lane was that you had a lot of base movement but that meant not the most when the meta strat soon ended up being push the lane really hard and harass at tower

the shift queueing thing so you blink instantly after you're done channeling you...
it's a lot easier now because it has a cast point and not a channel. if you give your hero the command to blink to a location during the end of the channel you will simply blink the moment you are able
it might lose like one pulse if the spell has an animation backswing
so optimally you would probably like queue a tiny move or a directional move after the channel and then blink
or just get the timing down so you blink after it's done channeling, there's a really easy to follow sound cue for it
