So between that, her lack of stun, and her utter uselessness in a teamfight, she relies heavily on the team being able to make moves for her to actually be useful, and requires that her team drafts to cover her weaknesses
Which is to say she's honestly a pretty awful support IMO, you really want your supports to either be opening up more flexibility and creating space, or doing something worth the loss of that, and she doesn't provide enough value to be worthwhile from what I've seen

I will point out there is also an upgrade to Force Staff called Hurricane Pike which specifically pushes the target away from you but also grants you a couple of extra fast auto attacks that you can hit them with at any range. I point that out because it's a really good item for ranged right clickers, and as mentioned with her passive Enchantress especially likes it, but I'm not sure if that was what was happening there

She shouldn't get good farm, but she does a lot better than AM mid, and probably better than a lot of actual melee mids, between Dagger to CS, evasion to make her slightly more able to do creep manipulation without eating too many spears, and Blur to let her farm the mid camp early
(With the "can attack from Blur" facet)

so I think after a few levels you should get mostly zoned to just dagger hits

Yeah, I started getting zoned hard at 6-7, but I think a better Huskar makes the lane really unplayable at 5
With stronger sidelanes I think you can actually keep the tower for quite a while though, PA is pretty dangerous to dive for if you have a support with TP up
But he can absolutely zone you off of last hits (except from Dagger) once he gets spears level 3
