So there’s the whole thing where replikas all have roles they’re supposed to fill, and rules for how to handle them to make sure they don’t get “persona degredation” - which I’ve gathered to just be developing individuality, making them less predictable, less easily controlled, and less useful in the eyes of the ruling power

Then Elster’s guidelines are basically “do not form attachments with the Elster,” which is violated by having a relationship with Ariane

And they have the chance to go against this by basically getting relegated to the mother of all dead end jobs

Maybe it’s just that I’ve read more than a couple GL stories in the last month where one member of the couple is worried what being out as a lesbian could do to their careers, and pattern seeking brain is just going ham, but it feels like there’s a rough parallel there

Like that’s a real thing to worry about as a gay person depending on where you live and work and it feels like you could read some allegory for that kind of thing into this aspect of the story

  1. the ammo economy is very unforgiving

you're welcome, I'd say the biggest tip is to not be too afraid to use your flares, if there is a nasty enemy in a connecting hallway it seems like you're gonna use a lot, it spares resources in the long term to just get rid of them ASAP rather than get clipped a couple times and have to shoot them down later

Ok so I spoiled the game for myself by watching powerpak's video, and it did leave me with a few questions. Like why are all the replika units being driven to aggression if their going mad from arianne's bioresonance? Wouldn't despair and self destruction make more sense considering what arianne is going through. Or is the replika's violent behavior meant to imply that arianne has anger in her over being left alone to suffer?
