and also you need to hold the button down but the wind down for the skill has you still running so you can often cue up the ridiculous windup after running out of rage and rageless rampage is terrible
definitely a better skill for a warrior who has access to way more max rage skills
nice la
considering how hard it is to get 100% crit in poe 2 I see why that costs a shitload
you can just chill at 50% chance and focus on multi
defiance is silly yeah
not even close
never didn't have it
blood mage plants
hell yeah I was thinking that'd be cool
this one
failed at the last boss
did a chaos trial i had, nailed it
I much prefer chaos trial unless I'm locked in
or if my build is just incredibly fucking fast
Did they change it so there's alternatives for the first two ascension points?
Or is it still sanctum only
sanctum and ultimatum
fwiw sanctum in poe2 is kinder to melee chars because of how the monsters & skills work
generally you do sanctum in a2, ultimatum in a3, and then it seems like they are looking to implement Ancestor in a4 but not confirmed 100% yet
Yeah it's TotA in A4 - it's there and you can speak to the NPCs but they blow you off atm
got some good relics in for this run
royal cache gave me a 4 roll jewel for my build but made all the rolls low
more than doubling your effective honour pool definitely helps
trial of time got hands 😭
but i def suffered from some bad afflictions buffing the boss
it's the low orbit urn cannons what get me if I try to do time too early
alright got my mapping weapons
it is hilarious how much less a good staff costs this league compared to a good talisman
not surprising but very funny
I am loving the part of wyvern build that is puking oil all over bosses to kill them
Ooof.
I really wnat to know what the hell is up with degens in this game and why they're so strong!? I think they ignore defences some how
If you have % of armour affects ele damage, that won't apply to degens
And Phys degens aren't reduced by armour either
There's also apparently a bug rn where ignites can stack?
Not sure if that was fixed yet
Yeah, it's just frustrating htere doenst seem to be a good way to defend against degens on teh ground like that
I mean the general way to not die to a ground degen is to not stand on it
Yes, very practial for the melee build 😛
I mean yes its a thing you have to consider and solve
Not every challenge affects every archetype equally
It's in the same spirit of, to quote from the Poe discord, "the best layer of defense in the game is 'reading your fucking map mods'" - sometimes your choices can have a detrimental impact on gameplay
Okay, literally: this isj ust an abyss mod turning up on things randomly, there's not a lot of soloutioons, and also: I was just venting ,let me vent on it being mildly annoying yeah?
I think DoTs are too strong currently compared to hits
there are basically no build options to mitigate dot damage right now whereas there are tons to mitigate hits
meaning I'm a lot more scared of the pool of poison left behind by the big slam attack than I'm scared of the big slam itself
which is a little silly
You did ping me while doing so; I presumed you wanted more of a conversation on it
Apologies, I forgot to turn the ping off
I really like that Last Epoch considers DoT mitigation to be important to represent and I hope PoE2 does the same
I do think there should be some things that you can't really mitigate and have to play around but ground effects can be so damned hard to keep track of I don't really think they should be one of those.
My bear build literally couldn't even see boss telegraphs under the 2 volcanos, 15 fissures, and meteor storms
so completely fucked to see what is on the ground ever
For me it's just shade walker, and it's just how mauch damage it's doing. it's a lot! And since i need to be in melee to engage with thigns, i realyl ahvent got a lot of counter play, otehr than a very annoying dive in dive out playstyle
Arrgh, i just screwed an item with a descration and lost armor 🙁
temple is way better now that theyve upped the drops
Noice
I'm still unfucking my temple, but it's improving
Also honestly the chests from the charge circles are really fun
I love the animations in the charge crystal circles just all around
very satisfying and nice that charge circles are worth doin
total value of this haul ended up being close to 200ex
never mind, i am no longer jelly
A single map that i havent even finisehd was rather generous to me
who needs pathing when you have garrisons
riding the boy train all the way to the vault
I am not sure my first attempt at a vaal corruiption is mcuih of an improvement 😄
Damage in this game is so werid
I somehow got two tapped in sekehmas, just.. really bizzarely
2nd boss, the aoes that fire off form the isdes of the room, one of them hit me, isntant freeze and then a second one hit me, and i just went 100 to zero
despite max cold res and everything
and adaption, and piles of armor to elment and all that jazz
Was enemy damage or crit chance juiced up?
I don't think so!
I had extra defences and everything from Sekehma too
I'm wondering if it was because it was an envirometnal effect, it was somehow just ignoring my armor?
similar to the ground degen issue>?
My honor didn't even budge, i just exploded, that was the weridest part
So i guess my honor resist was still working fine
Extra extra annoying is i had glowing orb and it didn't proic that
Respecpped to ORcale, and whoof. Shaman is just not great for werewolf comapred to the sheer insasnity Oracle gets up to
also hahahahaha wow. I had the theory that i didn't actually need herald of ice
...Yeah, that was true, Lunar Blessing is bonkers
Esp when you cast it with 69 rage (I swear, i did not actually set out to get that number)
and it proceeds to just rain hell everywhere
What's extra funny is while it has an icd, the way they changed it recently means one swipe sends a whole hail of moon bolts crashing down
if this isnt the one run to make it all the way, im giving up on trials
ok turns out
1 billion boons
not having every affliction
and 10k honor
was enough
what the dogs doin
pouncing!
(it doesn't look like you needed the 10,000 honour)
yeah pounce is just all around great utility
do you use minion life or anything? my dogs die so quickly
oh sweet
My werewolf is wolfless cos freezing mark. Sorry buddy!
thanks for this tech btw this is working great.
no prob!
glad i could help :3
Does your build not need/use freezing mark?
this
I want to switch to oracle but im anxious because shaman is so straightforward
Oracle has felt pretty straight foward too. I'm a bit more squishy, but that's solveable in teh long run, esp if i drop Blood magic
But like, the sheer damage output for Frost Wolf oracle is huge
So you're not doing this: https://old.reddit.com/r/pathofexile2builds/comments/1pr345u/oracle_wolf_minion_t3_xesht_showcase/
Bear and the gang 😄
I'm a gardener, clearing the weeds so that the crops may grow.
One thing I'm really not liking about druid is the ease with which you get stuck on geometry
I've died a lot of times because I got stuck somewhere and had to use pounce to unstick
and pounce was on cd
@keen dagger One good piece of tech for Oracle - you can spec into Mind over Mattter + Mana Remants - because everything crits, you always make mana remants
so you constnatly fuel yourself. You can also use this to give yourself crazy cdr via Khatal's REjuvination
Man, this is sooo much more tanky than any of my previous werweofl soloutions
That got me some very nice upgrades accross the board
new 35% boots (had 25% before), unique arbiter gloves (The 50% immob + do more dmaage to imob enemies ones), new helmet. Good stuff
Notably, all up i am no logner afraid of shade walkers now - i can actually tango with them
the only things that are scary are rare primal spirits and rare abyss seprents, buoth of whom can just one shot me out of the blue
which tbh when the primal spirits did it was very funny
the serpent is a bit scarier because i can't freeze it
https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/Nekrofancy-7289/character/Bonedrewid seeing what oracle shennagins people are doing is very funny
Explore economy and build overviews for the action role-playing game Path of Exile.
Notables: Yes.
oracle is so wild
I'm getting to the point now where I need multiple div for any slot upgrade
I was pretty concerned until I respecced a bit and started dying much less
I slept on flame breath cus I was worried it would be like rampage but it's much more comfortable to use
I'm also level 85 and I haven't even seen the second corrupted nexus like ???
also just saw my first unique map
I guess that's pre-0.5 problems
really do hope they can sort this
lmao if you devour kulemak's vessel in the first phase they are invisible for the rest of the fight
Oh nooo
I'm still a little more squishy trhan i'd like, but it takes things like getting chain stunlocked and all my mana going poof, or chilled ground, or a one shot to actually do me in
generally i'm fine
oh ff
game going oh you are spirnting now, instan knock down
That shit pisses me off, i tapped the dodge button, not held it
Ugh, i am apprently on tilt, just died a bunch in a row. Mostly where ij ust keep epxloding out of hte blue suddenly?
Update, i have since managed to solve my tanky issues
its not often i can actually craft an item for myself when approaching level 90
I guess I actually really just dropped this and desecrated and got lucky
Still, dat do be nice
Also i killed arbiter for the first time ever, and got a Morior i managed to sell for 19 div.
The humble scour+alch keeps winning
luckily alchs mow work on magic items at least
Yee
What a wild world with no scours, guess that saves on busy work
The idea is to generally make ground items more interesting
Instead of finding a base and alt spamming into regal into scour, repeat
Now you're looking for blue items with usable affixes that you can add to
Yeah I'm just hitting red maps in PoE1 and upgrades are becoming tougher to find since mod tier matters so much
yeah it's like a 3-4 div hat. I can't really use the crit chance too well but it's more health es resist and armour than my old one anywway
Doh, i justcompletely faceplanted to a strongbox
perils of using MoM and not apying attnetion, yo ucan end up swarmed and no mana and then dead
I wonder if having a skill with that support that lets you attack with insufficient mana would be helpful
Itr might be , acutally
Though it only works while surronded, but himm, being suroprned is when things have gone to pants
yup
Just need to rember to swap back to efficeny for bossing
constricting command mind over matter defy??
Nah, I'd torpedo my already fragile defences doing that. I could like try and build into CC, but I think I'm better just getting an even chonkier helmet/chest piece etc and stacking armor
dont worry it was a shitpost
Everything must be taken seriously!
Also ooof, I lost too genor. Need an even better weapon I think, map bosses have gotten extremely tanky with all the added map boss level
my weapon is 700 edps +5 attack levels which cost me 4 div and is doing pretty well in 6 mod t15 maps
hoping to upgrade to a phys weapon so I can leech a little bit but I'd need another 5 or 6 div to keep dps numbers the same
it doesn't help that talismans are incredibly overpriced cus they are just always moving
Mhm. I've been sticking to 2 portal maps just because I blow up occasionally and loosing the map is super frustrating
Yeah, i don't like the portal design currnelty
The exp loss alone is such a harsh penalty
https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/TheZombiePenguin-1291/character/MacCuill This is my current setup, if you're interestd
Explore economy and build overviews for the action role-playing game Path of Exile.
:((
There's nothign i can do about that!
but it's so upsetting
I know!
Also i ended up just removing that and tweaking a few other htingst have helped a chunk i think
hell yeah
HOLY SHIT
Divine orb, 2 abyysal echo omens
all from a single abyss
3 of them now from this map, and i havent even fisned the abysses?
there's somethign funky with Ulaman's legion where it multplies the mf every time it dupes a rare
I got my es recharge delay down to 2.1s now
which is very nice, and added in the "Defend with 120% armor when not at low es" node
I'm at 1.2s heheh
nope. rend / flame breath wyvern
Jenny is gardening.
I'll share what I got when I get home
it's not super optimized atm
The bestial mtx for the plant skills is so so nice
Really vibrant, deep glowing red
I love how it's also just CC for days
Entangle hitting up to 90% slows, hinder on hit and also pin build up
One thing I'm interested in checking out is if a poison oracle is viable?
It's more poison itself - I'm not convinced you can play it left side
I mean it's possible my damage is pretty good
I just ripped through her
And also without a dedicated ascendancy
I'm very sad about the poison change overall from poe1 ngl
Okay yeah the overwhelming consensus is that if you're not playing poison on a PF then you're inting
inting WHOM
the double poison ascendancy point is just absurd
it's pretty toxic
rendering all 3,000,000,000 triangles of atziris glorious buttocks
(I noticed it being pretty bad during campaign but fine in maps)
I think mtxs are just shittily optimized
I opened the game before I typed that double poison message and I'm still waiting to load in
oh it just happened
7 minute is wild
Explore economy and build overviews for the action role-playing game Path of Exile.
this is where im at right now
i do need to go do 4th ascendancy but ive been busy
whats wild to me is that they haven't made a showcase video for them, either
Vherry nice
realized amulet and glove upgrades were actually in my grasp and got those
10% off eleweak immunity now
I should go get the insulating hide circle actualy its quite good
28% armour ele and 35% faster start in 3 nodes
really need a belt upgrade with an extra charm slot since im using sacred flow
1.17 seconds recharge delay now. I'm probably not going to get any lower than that without building bad
I actually removed that cricle to get Reinforced Barrier instead, because the 120% armor while not on low es goes a long way
https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/TheZombiePenguin-1291/character/MacCuill Current iteration of things, EHP of 22k which is nice
Explore economy and build overviews for the action role-playing game Path of Exile.
yeah I grabbed both
Contuining to optimize my build mroe in little ways
lots of fun, honestly
Actually managed to make Artic Howl useful too for my build, so that's nice
Blazing Criticals on it + Exposure and potent expsore, so it's an ice little damage buffer
incredible
hell yeah
oh, that wasn't me - that was my guildmate who is in HCSSF lol
The PoE1 SSF experiment is still going good, the graft tree keeps on showering huge dps gains; what are good flask setups for general use? I got one that gets rid of corrupting blood but past that it's brand new to me since they reworked flask affixes to key off ilvl now
My general flask setup is like, Granite/Jade depending on tree side, Quicksilver, Amethyst if needed, Silver/Diamond depending on what kind of build I have
And then if I have unique flasks, replacing the latter of that list with whatever unique I'm running
And finally a life flask with CB immune if I don't already have a jewel for it
And then all the usual good stuff on suffixes - % defenses, MS%, crit chance if needed, reduced curse effect, attack/cast speed etc
If I have reduced curse effect on multiple flasks, does that add up to 100% to remove effects?
Unfortunately not - you'll only get the benefits from one flask
I'm not sure if it's the strongest effect or the newest one, although I suspect the latter
Don't forget to instil your flasks for "reused when charges reach full" for the most autonomous effect
"reused at the end of flask effect" works as well but you need to click it in the first place at the beginning of a map
And also if it ever runs out while you've not fully recharged it
Is there a good source of flask charge generation that's not critical hits or Pathfinder because my Deadeye is currently using Precise Technique so critical hits are off the table for the moment
Yeah for my current atlas tree I got Legion turned off since I just didn't have DPS for a while (was about 130k before a 6L unique got me to 250k and now a nice graft tree rare has me at about 600k), I might have to try me some legion in an alternate tree
Legion is more a skill-choice check than a DPS check imo
Obv DPS is a part of it but some skills are just so much better to play legion on
Yeah I'm doing Lightning Arrow into Thunderstorm right now after spending a while with burning arrow + BA totems and it's neat but I still gotta stop and shoot and so it's not like a Cyclone kinda moving DPS situation
LA is still p good for being ranged and pseudo aoe
I'm doing Delve+Betrayal+Heist on the current tree so might try some other activities on trees 2+3
Yeah it's clearing league hives pretty good at least

Have PC back and running!
bear drood flew through act 1
Thought I had some guild gear
Naw, bear druid is legitimately one of the strongest early game builds I've ever seen
My dad and I were playing one and it can very nearly facetank the entire game to at least the end of a2 on mid ssf gear
Furious slam covering most of the screen at level like, 3 also helps speed up the leveling peocess
Yeah
I threw ancestral boost onto the slam
And its like, a good 3/4 the screen, feels like
I do feel like it overshadows fury of the mountain a bit
Whixh I feel like is thematically cool but like
Worse damage, worse area, not sufficiently good enough autoaim/speed
the slam does retrigger Fury's fissures but it's certainly not the most efficent way to do so
Which i guess can be useful against bosses who survive the slam
But Maul is a better rage gen and gets you stood up
And yeah for retriggerinf fissues, shock totem seems the natural choice
God, the ability to aynch trade inside poe2 is a game changer
I swear to god if PoE II crashes one more time while im in the rewards portion of the trials of the sekhemas I'm going to lose it
I'm looking at picking up PoE2 soon (potentially getting to do some co-op with friends). I've got a fair amount of ARPG experience in general, but all my POE1 experience is following a guide. What's the bare minimum homework I can do to have a pretty good time with a first playthrough, assuming I don't care about going infinitely deep on the post game?
Honestly with PoE 2 you can kind of just pick the gems in the classes recommended and pick skills that buff it and be fine. respecs are pretty accessible
That's huge, I think POE1 was pretty stingy with respecs when I played.
I assume that means for skill tree routing that while there are objectively major buffs that you need to route for if you're playing hardcore, you don't have to worry about knowing all of them in advance for casual play?
you can get along pretty well by aiming for notables near your start that buff your main damage types and resistances
I would say following a guide is still probably the best way for a newbie to get started
But I always wing it in PoE2 until I get to maps then I have to do some homework
Mhm. I'd rather wing it if I can, if only so that if co-op does happen we're all about the same level of jank
From skimming around elsewhere, it sounds like most classes are viable (even if they aren't balanced). Feel like pitching me on any of your favorites for a first playthrough?
So if you're just following the recommended gems:
Warrior: Slow hard hitting mace attacks and lots of shield synergy and earthquakes and fire
Mercenary: The FPS character using a crossbow and grenades. Uses all elements and physical
Monk: Quarterstaff Martial Artist. Uses lightning cold and physical.
I would recommend merc a lot its a novel experience and the character has very fun voicelines
noted! thanks for the recommendations.
I think my friend said he was running merc for his first character, so it'd be funny to have that be everyone's first experience
honestly for this patch in particular
id very much recommend trying out druid
the shapeshifting skills are a blast
and it helps that theyre pretty powerful too
same goes for the plant skills
yeah druid is very enjoyable to play
oh and if you want some starting gear @ me, im done with the current league and have spare stuff and some currency
that's pretty enticing, I do like shapeshifting. So are plants, like, traditional entangle/slow/damage AOEs? And the animals are...beefy bears, fast wolves, chaos damage wyverns?
the plants are physical/poison based
and you can use a storm skill to water them to empower them
bear is focused on slams and fire/phys damage
wolves are more speedy, they have some minion mechanics with you summoning extra wolves (im not 100% sure didnt play wolves)
and dragon is fire/lightning stuff afaik
cool stuff. and the way the skill tree works, you'd probably look to use exactly one of those at a time rather than switching back and forth?
I've found that the forms you tend to only use one because they all synergize but everyone uses werewolf at least a little because of pounce
during levelling you can definitely use both spells and forms because of the weapon swap passive you get
you can have tree 1 tied to your Talisman (shape-shifting weapon) and tree 2 tied you your wizard staff
that's news to me. you get to advance two skill trees at the same time, not just swap gems?
So you have one base tree, and over the course of the campaign you'll gain 24 points that can be allocated as weapon-specific points
huh! super neat
how come?
Just cus of their location on the tree and how shape-shifting works
I definitely took a lot of shapeshifting/attack nodes on tree 1 and spellcasting nodes on tree 2
love that, that might cinch druid as my first character. I always found it weird how ARPGs love to give you a second weapon slot, but it usually only exists to confuse people when they hit 'w' and swap on accident
For reference, you swap weapons automatically when you use the relevant skills in poe2
You can be spamming spells and then tap a bear skill and you'll autoswap to your talisman and use the skill
And then if you hit a spell skill, you'll autoswap to your caster weapon, untransform and cast
its very smooth
So druid makes use of the weapon swap system intuitively, while say a Sorc that wants to have one weapon for fire spells and one for lightning spells needs to actually do the admin for it
(you can select which weapon to use per skill in the skill menu, but it's just another thing to remember and easy to forget when you're testing things out)
Druid is incredibly fun, you can eat so many faces
Leopard MTX coming to a store near you
Sometimes I wonder why I hate myself so much that I continue to play Chronomancer
What's wrong with/good about chronomancer?
A combination of mechanics that just don't feel good
Like one of the branches gives skills a chance to not consume a cooldown on use, and then a skill that resets cooldowns (but is itself on a long cooldown)
You're not going to play a build that doesn't function if you don't hit the 33%, on top of the long cooldown spells just being largely unplayable
One of the other offensive nodes is a pendulum buff providing an increase to cast speed and aoe which alternate (so when you have max cast speed you get min aoe, and vice versa)
This ideally wants you to play an aoe spell that you want to spam, but cast speed especially has mechanical implications for your build (mana regen etc) forcing you to either play around it or build for the worst case (and also ngl I don't think the buff looks all that good? 30% increased cast speed on average?)
This also doesn't play well with the cooldown node where you won't be gated by cast speed
The final offensive node is an okay curse-based one but a) curses don't feel great without speccing into them and the curse itself I don't think scales with curse investment, and b) it backloads its damage so it's not great for rares and pretty unusable for clear, leaving only bosses
Defensively it gives a minor slow on enemies close to you, better recoup (which you probably don't care about because CI) and then a weird skill which is potentially good but like
It's more of a panic button than a defensive layer, and also backtracks you
Thinking on it more, the ascendancy has interesting mechanics that you might eventually be able to build around for something you can't do on a different ascendancy, but it's just supported by the current content
it's thematic: it's an ascendency from ✨ the FuTuRe ✨
most of the stuff that gives you "chance to not use resource/chance to not go on cooldown" is kinda bunk since you have to build as if that doesn't proc anyway
Yeah I found my crashing lightning build last season just sort of considered any proc for power charge retainment as gravy to just turbo annhilate a boss rather than a reliable effect
And I think I had something like 50% retainment
it's a fine mechanic for something that happens in bulk, but cooldowns are not that
Yea its a shame because like, thematically its cool, but I'd be better of respecing to either Storm or the new one for Sorc
Probably Disciple in all honesty
Disciple is stupid
that's the djinn one?
oh yeah those are super important for crafting top tier gear
Oh no I'm fully aware, I'm just surprised by the price
I think divines are also depressed compared to previous leagues since the temple optimization made a lot of them and theyre not really that useful
so stuff that would sell for 1 div sometimes will sell for 10div
Its made it easy for me to basically get gear that I've wanted so far
I've just been selling vaal temple items
I have long since stoppedp laying hte season, had my fun, but it was nice to log in, find i had a bunc hof divines in my shop, buy up a bunch of perfect jewelers, then teleprot over to a friend who's leveling, dump ten perfect jewlesrs, a few divines and a bunch of level 5 supports on em
very early on in POE2 (level 10): does anyone have advice for getting a talisman that doesn't suck? I feel like it's hurting my damage a lot, but I'm not sure how much currency I should throw at the problem.
very early on its going to be kind of random
keep an eye on what Renly is selling thats your best bet
you can also transmute the white ones you find to improve them and pray for damage mod
since vaal temple exists you will also be able to craft a decent one once you unlock the first temple most likely
I kinda wasted my first temple :/ I wasn't really sure what to throw modifiers on, so I kind of leveled things at random. Is the basic logic early on to dump everything into your weapon first, then something elses?
oh yeah
weapon and boots are the most important slots early
(boots need movement speed and nothing else matters)
ok, cool, at least my instinct to upgrade my +move speed boots was good
I don't know if it's just the wyvern animation or what, but druid feels so slow. There's a real temptation to figure out what character can build movespeed soonest and reroll as that 😅
wyvern pretty awkward early
maybe try werewolf
it is the fastest and also moves faster when walking
also I think it works the best out of the box
Yyyeah. I wanted to do dragon things as early as possible, but rend and wing blast just aren't it. Maybe if the power charge generation was more reliable? (very annoying looking for stuff online and all the answers are just "Use this end/post game gem :)"
Are there any early Marks I should be looking at for pounce?
Just freezing mark but honestly making the dogs is good
they distract enemies and increase damage
wyvern gets a lot better once you have some actual build because it really needs good attack speed to feel nice
but its pretty fun later
that was my build this league
My dad and I found bear to be absurd early on
Just a slab of meat and you can get huge aoe early on to rush through mobs
You also get I think 40% of armour against ele damage in bear form which I imagine helps
yeah, absolutely a good call. Werewolf immediately feels like it's Doing Something just taking its skills in order.
See if you can trade for a decent talisman early game, like an amora mandragora or something
Honestly I'd just search for the basic talisman renly sells, with the highest +% phys damage dealt
@open sphinx i have a bunch of leveling talismans from when i leveled my bear if you want em
I'll bear that in mind! I like playing ARPGs as solo or co-op self-found, but if I hit a wall I'll reach out
yeah the package is very smooth. you'll be very happy once you get cross slash
This is a normal amoutn of ES
yup
es kind of scales insanely in poe2 compared to what you get from armour or evasion
not innoculating?
I probably should grab it at some point
Although honestly I already have capped chaos res
really unless you need to pay life for spells it just frees up like 4 affixes / couple augment slots which is pretty hefty for level 90+ optimization
I think I'd need to replace a few pieces of gear if I did that
Which I should be able to afford?
Tangentially related: I believe there's a new defensive setup in PoE1 now
EB CI MoM
haha what
no, you get to replace a few pieces of gear 😛
Something foulborn lets you get 100% Phys/Lightning MoM
So you convert 100% cold and fire
And then you can run Divine Flesh CI which stops you taking half of all ele damage at base
Alright I'm goign to give CI a try here
I lost some ES because of one of my nodes converting health to ES but it'll be fine
nice nice
Its weird saying I have a headhunter
🙈 I do not have enough cold resistance for Geonor
working on it, boss
Well....
gg go next
I'm in danger
Litlte bit
Unfortunately for them, Lightning Conduit
Always nice to give a big monster a little bit of BIDEN BLAST
Also made a mercenary tonight and I think it's funny that he's just A Guy with a Gun
he's very sick of this shit
Phrecia league 2 coming up
huh
time to dig up all the phrecia builds
oooh
and honestly
last time my biggest issue with phrecia was the idols
now we have async trade
so i can just buy idols easily
Haha they know it too
With the new Asynchronous trade system getting your perfect set of idols has never been easier!
I read that as phyrexia and got real concerned for a moment
Ugh, magic crossovers have gone too far
I have so much fucking currency
Good gods
This build isn't even at maximum power, I'm missing a +spell skill amulet
Meet a shapeshifter with the worst acid reflux imaginable - an Oracle with a mean case of gastroenteritis. This build by Pants has a fun theme and makes very interesting use of lineage support gems to bring forth a volatile barfing lizard, powered by chaos.
Thank you to Pants for this slam dunk of a build. Please check out their detailed guide ...
@open sphinx
what a beautiful rubes goldberg machine of a build
found a minor upgrade to my talisman
I love orbital strikes
Also for those that wonder how well my current build clears things
gotta say, I wish POE2 wouldn't give me giant fuckoff quest items that I can't stash.
luckily you should be able to use that one immediately
I have no idea why they still put quest items in inventory lol
yeah, took me a minute to realize I was supposed to go to the front of the caravan, though (and an embarrassing number of map transitions...)
I'm more annoyed by the titan relic thingamajigs, which were stuck in my inventory for I think two entire vaal temple runs
I can't tell if I'm running into a skill tree bug, or if it's user error. Is there some reason I'm missing that I can't allocate Wildsurge Incantation here for my second weapon set? I can activate any of the other nodes connected to the attribute node beneath it...
I don't think keystone are permitted for weapon swaps
🙈 🙉 🙊
well that's a design choice that cost me a couple thousand gold fighting the refund UI

it does make sense because hotswapping a lot of keystone would be weird and potentially incredibly powerful
hotswapping out of CI would be a bit silly yes
yeah. snark aside, I get it. but it's really not communicated at all as far as I can tell (like, you could have a "keystones aren't permitted for weapon swaps" hovertext) and also not intuitively obvious when this keystone is kind of vanilla
Yeah definitely needs a pretty obvious tooltip
I'll live, but it's frustrating. not a great moment when you think you've had a breakthrough in Engaging with Game Mechanics and it's actually just. not alllowed.
POWER
Exhibit 45: Turtle Shell now has "Regenerate 8% of Life over 1 second when Stunned"
excuse me
if this can stack
this is stupid busted
Well, I assume its two fold: One affix determines which defenses gets boosted, and another determines what it ALSO counts as for soul cores, as it has 6 slots for soul cores
Ok, the DB's screen shot is outdated
so guessing people are looking for a pure ES roll on the defensive
the soul core double count is an after throught
Probably yea
I can't really use it because I run CI right now
Unless I grabbed some uncorrupted gems
Either way I'm happy and scared
time for path of exile 3
sadly, i cant go this time

jokes aside
im assuming this means poe 2 release in november?
Probably act 5 8.0
I'm not sure they'd do an exilecon just for one act
I mean, PoE2 was originally just going to be an update
yeah
but poe 2
was a 19 ascendancy + a whole new campaign + a huge mechanic rework update
in the end it was an update so big they made it its own game
had to make a new game to make melee feel good
They scope crept themselves into something bigger, yeah
it was more a thing of keeping the identity of path 1 since so much was changing
I think we're saying essentially the same thing haha
That was the motivation behind making it its own release, but they certainly weren't planning on doing so when they started work on it - all the changes just started adding up as they wanted to work on more and more things
allocates frazzled
don't need an amulet for that irl
This one's an Erich Schaefer game so it'll probably take some of the lessons from Torchlight 2
oh! I totally missed he was one of the torchlight devs. that's really exciting, torchlight 3 imploding was heartbreaking
Torchlight 2 had a lot of interesting ideas for the time so it'll be interesting to see a modern take separate from Torchlight Infinite
So Phrecia 2 has gauntlet mods haha
is this good?
Not sure what this is meant to be? Not an openable file
lmaoooo (minor spoilers for phrecia shenanigans)
and then Alira ||summons K'tash, the Hate Shepherd||
It's plaintext
okay but it's shown there as a file without a file extension
i cannae look at it, cap'n
Android/Windows when you show them a file with no extension 😱 😖
Linux when you show them a file with no extension 👓 📄
Trial of Chaos is toughie, huh
yup
as always with the trials, if its too tough right now, just come back once you're nearly done the act
Looks like they might be using the skeleton of her Phreicia ascendancy?
the actual nodes change, but the large selection of options would stay
im looking forward to seeing what the updated breach scarabs and breach atlas passives look like
The Genesis Tree will remain as a method of growing rewards from the flesh of your slain enemies, but Grafts will no longer be available.
rip grafts
They never really let us keep borrowed power
At least it removes them from the gift pool
i really really really hope the new breach scarab is not "Your maps contain a breach."
uselss nothing scarab when i'm getting that on my atlas tree or from map device crafting anyway :(
Additional breach
I'm imagining rarer/more wombgifts, increased graftblood, guaranteed Hive Fortress / boss encounter
With the base one being additional breach, yeah
It’s been over two months since the launch of the Last of the Druids, so soon it will be time to talk about the next big update for Path of Exile 2. Towards the end of April we will be announcing our full plans for the 0.5.0 update including all the changes we will be making to the endgame as well as the new league! It’s a pretty huge update...

Play the Mirage expansion for free on PC and Consoles on March 6th PST!

so I stopped playing phrecia in A3, figured I'd give it a go again
wanted to play Animate Weapon of Ranged Arms on a Servant of Arakaali, but didn't have the currency for the gem
ran normal lab once on my existing character and got it haha
oh lmao didn't realise phrecia ends now, thought it'd run as normal with Keepers
Oh boy, here’s hoping Templar doesn’t have my ass a third time in a row
Because if inquisitor holy hammers is real I just might
Why the fuck are people so pessimistic in the comments
cause people commenting on reddit and youtube cant enjoy games
in other news
creator of poe lore videos is now a narrative designer :o
oh hell yeah!
Her videos are great
but I have to wonder what that means for her channel lol
In Path of Exile: Mirage we're adding improvements to the Currency Exchange, Campaign and more! Find out everything February 26th
oooh favored trades is really nice
really good changes all around tbh
Have they spoken about a scion rework at all?
i assume that will be left for the livestream in two days
<t:1772132400:R>

Time to do a shop run rq I guess
Also finally watched the qol vid and they're neato
The tgem thing might get me to start anim wep this league
yeah the tgem thing seems real nice ~w~
Should drop the prices of some of the gems a tad, too
I wonder if anim weapon builds ever keep a stock of white bases for like, bossing lmao

🍿
off the back of breach 2.0, get ready for breach 1.0 2
looks real neat
imbued gems owo
new exceptionals??
NEW ATLAS?
god im so hype
okay this looks cool af
new ascendacy for scion
Reliquarian is additional Scion asc

oh fuck
leveling gems will be such a money maker this league lol
fr
just selling raw lvl 20 gems for people to gamble with
oh it does copy things in maps
hell yeah
krangle league 2
oh fuck
new BIS for non-unique builds jfc
abyss belts are still real good
oh boy
this is chieftain self ignite blade
thats really hot
yeah
sweep rework????
getting haste shrine
in fucking 2026???
lol
- aura levels
icicle mines scion
WIDOWHAIL PASSIVE????
THAT WILL BE SO BROKEN
oh fuuuuuck
oh fuuuuck
@rustic grotto so plan is reliquarian uniques will change each league
I'll probably play at least one scion ig
oh this is very poe 2 lol
yeah 100%
no more "play only dunes and favorite dunes so you can actually sell what you farm"
how do unique maps work :o
yeeeee
oh i guess they still just drop?
yeah I assume
ooooh
oh look its tablets
oh god the juicing
this is like the memory chains right
kinda yeah!
not even a tink on that filter smh
qol! qol!
ok how do scarabs work
you just chuck them into the slots below the map ig?
ground loot improvements?
oh thank god
lmao
people are gonna juice this guy to hell and back
fractured veiled mod?????
thats huge isnt it?
Templar League!
oh nice
AYO
WTF
this is stupid
extremely stupid
its 100% gonna be up there with the highest priced gems
oh hey
pocket support
cold archmage

eyy
ok so you can just have kinda old breach if you want
"WE'VE WOKEN THE HIVE!"
juuuuice
oh neat
moving graft skills to supports is a nice move

QOL LETS GOOO
i assume this is just gonna be the video from the other day lol
plus maybe more but idk

cuuuute
oh these fuck
god theyre getting really creative with these hideouts
finally
bdsm mtx
LOL
la creatura
LOL YOU CAN STEAL PETS FOR A BIT
ah yes
blood sacrifice the map device
not the first one somehow (i think)
god im so hype
Looks like a very interesting league for sure.
oh hey octavian in the q&a
the poe 1 and poe 2 starting to split and be more specialized is nice to hear
ye not having people jump between projects constantly is good
re: kingsmarch it's at least now something you have to consider, instead of being a thing you really should be doing in addition to everything else
tying currency rewards to ore/bars instead of crops means you have to do it on your atlas
doubling currency from core drops is neat
bias to better bases is nice
im glad how mark is approaching this
"well do what we can extra with the time we can, we'll do more in the future, its just an ongoing problem"
excellent way to approach a farming economy as complex as poe
yeah for sure
huh interesting
so theyre shifting weights instead of dropping more
THIS IS A BUFF
god, i love chris
but i do think the game is doing better under mark
at least in terms of my personal enjoyment
oki got the weapon effect
ill just read the q&a summary later
ooooooh
the helm one is fucking nutty
its that one unique but better?
cause its on a rare

this is nuts for pconc of bouncing
the snowmage support looked crazy
i can reserve all my mana+use eldritch battery to pay for mana costs?
@grizzled hamlet
HOLY
there's a new currency to change the enchant on a cluster
WHAT
yeah
without removing the rolled notables on it
daaaamn
crazy buff to golem elementalist if they can just keep the one golem notable and have a good enchantment
the chaos damage explode cluster notable getting fractured... imagine
oh pog the mirage area floodfills walkable areas instead of being a circle that you lose half of because it spawns next to a wall
good good
and there's a button to return you to the portal if it's a tunnel-heavy or w/e map
Mirage maps drop that mirage the whole map
Harbs are gone
lmao they were just gonna put it in harb text in the patch notes
upgraded harb uniques are in the core pool
Blessed orbs reroll shaper guardians
some of the new uniques have foulborns already
FOSSILS ONLY FROM DELVE NOW
delve farmer buff
oo
breach tree can't make rare weapons or quivers, fusing rolls down
what does fusing rolls down mean?
it means instead of simulating 150 fusions on the item and taking the highest amount of links it instead rolls a smaller amount
instead of rerolling 150 times on that node it's down to ~60

depending on patch notes i'll try blight of contagion occy as my starter probably
Kirac crafts are gone as well, but most of the stuff they added went to scarabs
So like the +legion scarab adds another one to make up for the missing kirac craft
its not like chaos had much value before?
but yeah we'll see how that shakes out
They straight up said in the q&a that chaos value in this league is gonna drop
fair enough lol
Which'll affect the economy for low level trades
Reliquarian nodes stack with the uniques where it's not a boolean

Ziggy anchoring the Devs rn lmao
ziggy usually does a great job with the q&a's
he has experience leading them at this point
Notes up
Int stacking has been gutted
and CWS
LOL
Portal: No longer has its casting interrupted by self-damage.
Oh?
Int stacking though
Int now gives 1% increased ES per 10 int, instead of per 5
Shaper's Touch gives 2 acc down from 4

fuck that one guy in particular
@rustic grotto above
I really want to see what the actual nodes do though
if Mystic Refractor just gives +proj that'd be nuts
widowhail being there is already nuts
We do have numbers for a couple
only a couple though
i probably leaguestart pyroclast mine reliquarian
I've been meaning to do a nova build at some point
and Astral Proj Reliquarian might be the excuse
Could be an exceptional Trinity
WHELP
guess I’m playing Templar for a third time in a row
I hope there’s an inquisitor league starter that’s real. guardian is gaining HUGE stonks tho
Oh, it is yeah
Became a Dex gem
Here are the 41 shown
im sure someone will label all of them
sentinel of radiance with permanent uptime is fantastic qol
guardian leveling in acts will just be summon the sentinel once and then run past everything spamming convocation
link it to automation asap
Wait really
The Guardian's Sentinel of Radiance Minion no longer has duration (it is a permanent minion) and has approximately 36% more Movement Speed. Note the Sentinel still doesn't persist between areas.
Insane guardian buffs
yeah
I’ve played guardian and heiro, and since this is the Templar league I guess, I’ll do the third ascendancy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Juvl3aa_udg but smokie dodged patch notes
10m damage on league start. 50m damage in mid game. 100m damage in end game. Play this build before it gets nerfed!!!
In all seriousness this is the best league starter I've ever played in SSF. The damage numbers you get for the level of investment are unlike anything I've ever seen before. Very smooth progression from beach all the way to Ube...
i have an mspaint inquisitor build
* firestor mof meteors (could look very funny with all the meteors)
* crackling lance of disintegration (no aim big shock)
* frostblink of wintry blast ON AN INQUISITOR (very funny)
* desecrate+volatile dead?
- flame surge of combusting (looks cringe)
* ethereal knives
* ball lightning
* purifying flame
* ice spear
* spark of the nova
* flame dash of return
* blazing salvo
* glacial cascade```
alternatively you could do flicker strike of power inquisitor with an eventuality rod as your weapon
you take the crit chance+critpen node and then take the battlemage+zealotry charges one
and with the cast speed from that your spellslinger frostblink basically makes you wand flicker strike
and then your real damage comes from another spell that you are also spellslinging
Wild
Actually doing heist tho lmao
I wanna play the new atlas not be stuck in heist (/j)
if you are playing trade you can just buy the item
also if you are playing trade doing heist first day and then sanctum rest of first week is pretty solid this league just because by then you can cash out and then switch to farming whatever broken mapping strategy people have figured out
Eblade got triple tapped
Sorry, only double really (unless you were int stacking specifically)
Lost half the es bonus from int and lost the more es mult on qual
Interested to see the numbers on Holy Strike (or w/e the part-minion one was) but otherwise might go Abso or Dom Blow
Ooh they might have added +100 (stat) to the maven belts
Mapping is gonna be so nice though. I hope the endgame rework in Poe 2 mirrors these changes
I mean
It kinda already does in a way?
Since the map items in Poe 2 just have a tier
when I saw the reveal I literally said out loud "oh, they brought over waystones"
except, crucially, unlike PoE2 you can just run the same layout
OH right
Hm
I bet they change that
Since they’re probably testing some ideas for Poe 2’s endgame rework with this
The cross pollination between the two games has been really cool to see
The new invasion mechanic does require you to run multiple maps other than the main one to juice it....but there's just a node on the tree to ignore that part of the mechanic that everyone is going to take
I’m not sure how hard I can predict for Poe 2’s endgame rework based on this since I haven’t played Poe 2 endgame that much but yeah
but i feel like i can def say that there's gonna be some strong similarities/equivalents between the two systems (/pos), except that poe 2's is infinite
theyre pretty different games
well, what im saying is that theyre def using this poe 1 league to test some ideas/refine the poe 2 rework
again it is REALLY cool seeing how the two games are informing eachother rn
are they?
this feels more like a poe 2 to poe 1 transfer to me
were getting generic map drops
tiers instead of specific maps
like the tablets in path 2
Hey, just an update on this one. The Widowhail node has been changed since the showcase in the livestream, and the Howlcrack node has been replaced with Brass Dome. We will fully reveal the Reliquarian on Monday (NZT).
the widowhail node did seem nuts
While yes, it's also attached to the Reliquarian so I was so-so on it
Oh, hmm
It occurs to me that if you don't really want any of the jewellery nodes on Reliq then it's very easy to Bloodline
Waiddasecond
King in the Mists node
Reliquarian is getting something from this
40% life as chaos damage
poe2 cross pollination
oh wow they finally made a reason to play scion aside from "i have infinity money"
s h e n a n i g a n s
I'm not sure I'd want to play Reliq if I weren't doing something stupid tbh
Like Bluster/Refractor (assuming it's just +proj)/Astra value pile might be fine but also do weird stuff!
with t17s removed, how do we get the new nightmare maps? do we know?
will they just drop like normal
It's voidstone related aiui
But yeah nightmare map items drop and then you select the one you want to open (they're in each corner of the atlas and show you what Ubers they're associated with)
So assuming the last voidstone has the same mod, you have a 6.4% chance for a T16 to become a Nightmare map when you have all your voidstones socketed
i see
