afaik the stated reasons have mostly been around in game lore and voicing?
the lore
I mean I guess it's cute the Fighter has an adoptive father
But outside that what character lore are we actually working with
Sorceress gets a lot of barks in Act 2 from being an exiled Maraketh
I was really surprised by how few pieces of unique conversation the warrior got in a1
god I remember an interview about how they were planning on streamlining the campaign experience to make it less of a chore when you're playing it for the Nth time
think about it a lot when I'm doing a whole bunch of pointless back-and-forth teleporting to talk to someone to advance the plot one space requiring me to talk to someone somewhere else
I find it to be pretty smooth tbh
lot of people you don't have to talk to
they could make it more intuitive what you have to skip
a2 definitely feels cumbersome though because of the caravan mechanic
but I forgive it because that's one of the sickest hub areas in a game
I just find the A2 fetch quest to be a drag
mm, was actually thinking of the Hooded One routine in A1
but also yeah A2 having to run to the map every time
yeah that definitely stands out in a1
run to the map to load this area to load into this area to run to a dude who tells you this is not the area you're looking for to run back to the caravan to run to the map to load a new area and finally load into a new area
a3 is pretty smooth aside from the huge map sizes which they are fixing and holy shit PLEASE drop the sacrificial heart from Viper if you haven't found it yet oh my god
I had to run Utzaal twice last time I did a3 to find it
A3 is nice except for trying to return to NPCs after portaling
My friend and I have also found A2 has a really weird issue where your connection starts stuttering until you get connection dropped
oh yeah time travelling back is a pain
Happened a few times, including the defiler fight
luckily Witch Hunter let me facetank that fight so the stuttering wasn't a problem
the a2 defiler fight is a joke
it has one dangerous move which is the fire breath and that's solved the way every other attack is solved by standing behind it
I wonder when Druid will be added
sounds like it's next up
Well, now for hte painful thing
Trying to replace all my gar with good starting 65 gear
my advice is to drop a div
I got one during campaign, so you know!
There we go, resistances capped and most of my gear slots repalced/ugpraded
havent touched my rings other htan to throw 2 exalts at one which slammed +11% resists and 16 strenght, so, lol
that's actually useful
and my amulet needs replacing, but i'll wait till i have more currency
need faster booties too, only have 25% movespeed ones
well, dont have chaos res capped, but otherwise
replace the gloves yet
?
I did.
Right now i'm just running sekehams to clear out a bunch of 2 asc barayas and get good relics so i can do mny 3rd asc
i tried sekhema for 4th ascension and i dont think its even possible on this character unless i get crazy attack speed somehow
melee & slow attacks does not work well when you're not supposed to get hit
Maybe, maybe not. I think there's ways to do it on warrior
probably a real one handed build will have an easier time
or if you're skipping the reduced attack speed damage nodes
Dunno, my last war build to do thigns was a magma block build
so... It uh, blocked it's way through the tiral
andm ade htings blow up
Spearfield and Rake worked pretty wel to shred my way through
yeah if you can keep your shield up the whole time that definitely works
but I'm doing slams
do you even use a mace for damage mainhand or do you use it as a stat stick
You dont actually keep your shield up all the time
you parry with it
And you're mostly using the mace asd a stat stick
it's very frustrating that the game is functionally unplayable for a good 10-15 minutes after starting it up
You have an older PC?
I mean I guess you could say that - a 2080 and an overclocked 7700k running on an m.2
by "functionally unplayable" I mean that both mobs and attack/effects are not consistently loading
that's definitely better than what I have and I'm not having those issues for more than a second upon entering a map
I do have gfx turned down to 0 though
But like , it's cool that loading screens are shorter but it doesn't do much good if the stuff doesn't load in lol
bwuh
why do you bwuh?
The .2 changes, I guess
Barely parsing the changes and also a strange one to nerf, especially with it only working on so few abilities
So before you'd put it on some spell that sticks around a while and hits a million times for little to no damage
Giving you free full Wither at all times
This turns it more into a Chaos Ailment ala Shock
I wanna say it was perfect for the totem but I guess it was too perfect, spamming Chaos Bolt to try and stack a debuff with such a short duration seems absolutely miserable
Though it was also just a response to the way they word things, it's so very specific but also strange
Bleh. made it to endgame, i dont actualyl think i'm having fun with .2
getting to endgame felt like a slog. Upgrading my gear and things feels like even more of a slog, sincei t's either g rind currecny, or... get lucky.
oh fyi this page is slightly wrong (as I thought it might be)
to compare it to Shock
ooo Kay that's my bad 175% did seem like a lot
that withering touch looks super strong
in poe1 it only works on attacks
if i could withering touch a storm brand or somth that would pop OFF
Chaos is just kind of in a weird spot? Like it's potent but the spell pool isn't awfully deep especially spells that cause 'hits' , but yeah it's on me for going off database nonsense
is there chance to poison/added chaos damage supports?
Chaos Infusion patches that some, as do a few weird physical-mix talents
storm brand with this could be neat
wait what's Storm Brand
poe1 skill
Yeah for PoE2 you put Extraction Support on any spell to give it chaos damage
But now they want the spell to hit for a reasonable amount to proc wither
cursed game trying to make me pollute my witchery with other elements
petition to make chaos infusion turn the spells purple
Patch also appears to be out
YOu can see at a glacne what rarity sellers items are now!
charm changes are big
game just feels slow and boggy on lightningazon
my big hurdle right now is that holy shit why are greater jewelers so expensive
3:1 div rn
Probably because they're thr hardest to get, the one that matters the most, and the preceeding ones are redundant if you get one, iirc
That and the lack of support Gem drops is actually one of my pain points currently
I'm missing a huge amount of character power because I get don't have various gems to fill things out
how do you mean?
I meant bleedazon
Just not very good clear, so it makes maps feel rpetty thick and rrisky
It's not bad clear, but it's nto very fast either
I'd honestly be tempted to like, use Spiral Volley or something for clear?
But i dont want to play a bowazon, i wanna do stuff with spear and bleed. may be foolish or whatever, but like that's what i'm triyng ot do
I did mean for Bleed yeah
Otherwise what, Whirlwind Lance is your only real projectile option?
Mm. Spearfield kidna sorta owrks
and is acutally pretty potent
but it's a whole thing
tldr is i'm just not having fun, and it's a vicious feedback loop where icant eaisyl get the reosruces to try anotehr build
Streaming daily

Fubgun has quit .2, apperntlky
It's worth listenign to the video, i think he's not mindnlessly bithcing, he's raising pretty good points
you need to get 3 or 4 atlas points per corrupted area instead of just 2
I believe it but I'm not really interested in watching a video about someone not enjoying what I'm enjoying rn. I'll expand my brain after I've finished doing my own atlas progression
That's totally fiar!
I reallyt agree with his points about loot. For me it just feels bad at the moment, loot is low, which means repsecing is hard
which chains into thigns feeling worse
it was a fundamentally odd choice to take the opportunity of having less loot to make the amount of junk loot... exactly the same
anakin padme meme
we're making poe2 to have a less overwhelming amount of loot.
so the loots gonna be better, right?
...
right???
Man, I love how good rogue leveling is in last epoch
One of your earliest nodes is this
I'm level 16 btw
also
Hello there
fuck I need to decide what I'm gonna play
last epoch time π
I think I'm just gonna do shape-shifting primalist
it do be the most interesting build in this game
And into monos I go
Playing Fire/Cold Heartseeker because it looks cool
Also WASD is amazing
makes stutter stepping so freaking easy
i'm excited to try wasd
Improve, hopefully
I've started messing with this, but it's not grabbing me yet
This being Last epoch
what are you playing?
First gamble of the cycle
Started a rogue with a vague intent to go throw burd at people
I'll keep that in mind. Though it's also things like it's talent tree being a style i don't particularly enjoy
dont even read the text and i think the realm is restarting in 30 minutes
until you unlock bird I highly suggest going Puncture with bow
god rive feels good
okay never mind i got it
wait you can go above 85% maxres????
i have become dummy thicc
Hard cap is 90
there is more work left to do...
back 2 da forge
i guess i can try taking off 5% regen on the chest and adding 5% max fire res
alright 90% all ele res and the drain from berserk is sustainable
wish list is now:
- big jewelers orbs
- quality up my gems
- mana leech gloves or ring
- moar chaos res
- bigger hammer
then this character is pretty much done
those are some hella drops for the campaign lmao
yea, the new nemesis system is pretty amazing
Just empower them every time and the loot is insane
I only just entered ch 8
wahaha
Speeeeeed
Yeah the Nemesis are from last league and they're great
I had a chest with a sealed T7 resist lol
seems strong
the build is feeling pretty good yeah!
very softcore tho lol
very easy to die if we get caught out without silver shroud/dusk shroud stacks
this build is feeling really solid into high maps. max block and 90% ele res just shrugs off so much especially when you have 4000 life for the rest of the damage to slam into
the slow attack time is a bit of a pain but the clear is still reasonable and the bossing is amazing
I can't really do temp chains maps but it's not like any build wants to do those
I'm kinda annoyed they introduced cool mitigation layers on the smith and lich and took the mitigation away from the infernalists ouppy
Soulless Form and all does hit the Lichiness pretty accurately but I did expect a bit more involvement with skeletons and the like, the rest of the tree seems a bit mishmash
I think they were definitely trying with witch to make there no obvious "necromancer" ascendancy
so most stuff in all the ascendancies affects both you and allies
oh hey rupture soul does work with allies too i did not check that
I wouldn't actually be surprised if a druid ascendancy ends up being the best minion ascendancy in the int region
I think part of my problem with Infernal/Lich is that they kind of feel like
They need all of the points y'can get
before they start functioning as intended
Blood Magic gets right in on it from the gate
blood mage needs 4 points to function lol
I was feeling pretty potent/durable with just the life orb business but endgame is probably a different space
spells just cost so much mana it feels brutal to cast em without the lifeleech
I only ran into that when I got to the curse/hexblast business, them things is expensive
Bonestorm I couldn't physically cast fast enough to run out of health or mana, though, and all that crit means so much life return
that's after you get life leech!!!
Got me a new relic
I could have waited for T7 crit multi, but, well, CoF and all
Kinda just needed to take the Ws when they're handed to me ya know?
aren't you a fire build?
yes, but Mourning Frost exists
so every build with elemental damage is actually a cold build
evil
oooh very lucky
+5 level of melee skills brings my tooltip before rage + armour break from 8k to 10k
oh it also makes my mana costs insane
okay literally any mana leech solved that which i needed anyway nice
If I can get 200 exalts I can use the omen which lets me get rid of life per enemy hit
wait fuck the phys/acc is tier 1 shit
I guess literally any other prefix aside from another tier 1 or straight accuracy is better
So, are there set times when standard rotates in netrunner, or does nsg just do it when they feel like itβs necessary
I think you might have this in the wrong channel!
Oh whoops sorry
I was so confused checking card-games and then clicking this channel
No need to apologize, thought you'd appreciate knowing so you didn't wonder why no one was answering!
Honestly an arpg running itself like a card game wouldn't be the worst.
"We're banning temporalis. Because what the fuck were we thinking?"
What do people here think of grim dawn?
Grim Dawn is my go to ARPG after playing lots of Diablo and Path of Exile in the day because it comes with a pause button and it's a really smooth solo self found experience
It doesn't have WASD like PoE2 but it does play real nice on a Xbox Controller
Hogh, I'm getting sections where Totem doesn't seem to do enough damage to actually trigger the Wither debuff
cool act 2 nemesis relic lmao
say hi to aberrath for me
imo just dont get hit
that seems cracked
it's super ncie
I've been thinking of giving last epoch another try, what would people say are the most satisfying/impactful skills on either the rogue or acolyte? Melee, ranged, casting, doesn't matter to me as long as it's got some oomph on one of those two classes
There's just always been something off with the feel of the combat for me, which sucks since the systems seem really interesting so I want to try to mitigate that feeling
the falconry kit is great in rogue/falconer and definitely has oomph. chaos bolts / cthonic rift on occultist/warlock definitly has oomph as well
I'll give them a look!
I get what you're feeling and will say, the more recently the skill was designed, the better it will feel.
Yeah that makes sense
I'm hoping it clicks more for me so i can add it into rotation with poe and grim dawn
I'm playing Crit Fire/Cold Heartseeker. Looks something like this
Heartseeker is super fun. Just bounces around killing shit
it's fun! rogue has a new button for marksman (heartseeker), and acolyte i liked the warlock skills
wasd is also in as an experimental setting, if that helps your gamefeel
Yeah I'll likely give wasd a try, but I don't mind click to move after thousands of hours of it in other arpgs lmao
WASD is real nice
Very interesting, might need to give that a try
makes stutter stepping really easy
Yeah I've really enjoyed wasd in poe2
I'll probably give both warlock and falconer/marksman a try. How fast is the campaign usually?
takes me around 3/4 hours I think? I'm slow tho
you get your ascendancy at level 19ish, end of act 1
it takes less than an hour for the ascendancy
the full thing is 8 acts, your mileage may vary at the final act (i remember getting walled by the boss)
majasa, lagon is aight
That's not too bad, i can usually get to poe1 maps in 10 hours on league start so it sounds a bit shorter then that
it's definitely shorter than poe1
i just did the campaign recently for that armor set
fun fact: you can enter endgame "maps" at level 16
I would not suggest doing this
but you can
Interesting, makes me think of the items that let you start ultimate in grim dawn at any level
The lowest level mono is level 58
it's recommended to get through the campaign until you get the faction option
and you are missing the vast majority of your idol slots and passive points
Ehhh
you can hop off in Act 7
that way, your alts will have access to choose the faction when you start another
farm up a bit and get a Sanctum key, then skip to Act 9
Yeah I'm just gonna run the campaign for now
ah true
Act 8 is optional
if you know what you're doing
but first playthrough?
just play the campaign
Yeah that'll be the plan
I'll be checking the game more out tomorrow for sure, but now I'm just getting that grim dawn itch again too
oh shit I need to hop on LE
cold druid is going pretty good i permafroze the emperor boss fight lmao
i like that all the physical spells can be invested in to become cold spells
do we know when they're planning on finishing the campaign btw?
same
do we have more details on what that means?
oh this is the updated one
these ended up kinda phenomenal
yea those are nice for sure
this is an insane void knight weapon holy moly
got to monos with the ice druid. resists all capped except phys and poison, 1k hp, and capped crit avoid with pretty good damage. build feels good. only 50% crit right now but I've basically found no increased crit on items
this guy looks really funny holding this lollipop and orb
this node is really good
lets goooo
Abberoth down
Judgement is kinda good, I only just noticed my belt is still yellow >_>;
My ammy is t6 aoe size on a jade base lmao

struggling to figure out what to do with my fourth skill specialization as ice druid. I have thorn totem, spriggan, spriggan form, and maelstrom which all have synergies with spriggan form which i stay in most of the time. the roots synergy takes up too many points and i dont really get much by swapping to stormblade. i wonder if its just fury leap for traversal or something
Ice Druid? What game is that?
maybe another minion? do they persist in spriggan form?
My favorite bit from the LE season so far was getting a Dreamthorn off of a nemesis with a like T6 increased void damage, as a minion Forge Guard
Like a devious voice whispering, "You want to play Melee Void Knight againβ¦"
well respeccing masteries exists now so you could do it
Nah I'm having fun with forge
I'll save that for an alt
It's just incredibly funny to have a literal temptation of the void drop as a 2-affix legendary on sentinel
It's pretty low level too, could come out swinging before the end of the ruined era
woah this seems cracked
I need to find this echo
the fun part will be getting + levels of spriggan form on this
(vale spirits add extra projectiles to spirit thorns which is my main damage skill basically)
and since it can hit with multiple projectiles and starts with 3 projectiles, each spirit is like 33% increased (within count of spirits) dps *0.97 I have 60 attunement so this is kind of like 115% increased damage before I even add in that the spell crit maxes my crit chance
gross
1 in 928 chance of dropping
so I just decided to drop 929 gloves
uh
what
we have a drain life lich
like
this does excellent on her
but
what
40 flat damage and perma frenzy on a belt is cool. I like that it gives you the offramp with potions too
gl with your LP
I should really give le more if a shot
I got to the first town and just wasn't grabbed
And that's normal abby done
I wanted the tank of those gloves first before I tried it
I was playing Heartseeker with a pretty squish setup for a while
so wanted plenty of tank
what does void barrier do?
if your first time was with old druid and ice thorns, i totally understand
It was with this patch and rogue actually
The game just feels kinda weightless and floaty
ye that is an issue this game has unfortunately, the competition is much better about weightiness
5% less damage taken per stack (multiplicative)
So
basically
I take way less damage
Well, I'm not sure you want to lower it
The more it increases the earlier the barriers double and better chance they have of preventing you instantly dying
And like, to be clear
if shit hits the fan I'm going to be hitting multiple buttons that cleanse all status
yep
and I don't leech for sustain
All my healing is on hit
and I do a lot of hits
Serpent strike.
Take [Frostwyrm's Fury] to get it to scale off cold & [Coldfang] to give it reliable freeze CC.
This is BIS in judgement paladin; flat fire damage is incredible for it
interesting
wait
it doesn't have a CoF tag
fuck
what are the rules for Merchants guild?
even if it's can not be traded I can still list it right?
as long as it isn't CoF?
No
damn
The CoF mark simply means in addition to being unsellable, you also need to be a CoF member
.... I think, it might have changed since beta
Otherwise an LP 4 of a meta item in one of the best builds in the game would probably be in the high billions
booo they don't let CoF check prices
I wonder what my build currently is worth
Anyways
I need a new ring
hell yeah looking good
whoa thats nuts
wooooooooooooooooooow first one I get is LP2
Still no appropriate t7 to smash it with
Lost about 20k dps, but hit 100% block rate, 55% block effect
oracle amulet is just generally a really good base type right
I'm using a pretty decent 20% rolled offering of the erased rn
yes, dot mitigation is annopying to get
im glad last epoch has added Evil Beer Level
fun fact: the unique belt from that level renames all potions to "Beer" when equiped
that's actually quite cute
hit empowered monos. still only 76% spell crit
haven't been able to find a usable +%crit dagger/catalyst or that damned seed
holy shit this boss is ridiculous
the minions hit for like 600 damage a pop after mitigation which would be fine if they didnt have like 1 million health and tons of regen
my only viable strategy seems to be to get 100x my dps or kite them around the pits forever
how important is resist pen in this game? it's really hard to tell how much resist anything has
Very
You can pen into the negatives
so it's always useful and acts as a multiplier
How strong are you? I might be able and bop the boss for you a couple times
Im gonna try a couple more times
my dps is like 150k which i figure is not enough
gonna look for more pen
i look at the tooltip and multiply it by my number of projectiles
okay that took 10 minutes
btw, when you drop an Oedern's Watch don't use it immediately
it seems to be way rarer than everything else
And if you're playing an attribute stacker it's kind of important
I'll keep that in mind. Woven echo?
Yep
It's the one that swaps attributes
I've dropped more Uber Aberroth echoes than I have of it
swaps attributes?
Yep
Like if you have exalted T7 strength that could be attunement?
yep
that's so "pogchamp"
It's really good
One caveat
the item must have 1 forging potential
as the swap costs 1 forging potential
well luckily usually my exalted strength/int/dex items are sitting in my stash untouched
look at all my friends :3
it is time to start stacking attune
friends!
Current gear check up
Need to replace one of the rings with a T7 Dex slam (had to give it to a Nemesis and the asshole put fire damage on it)
Chest piece and quiver could also be better, but are plenty good at the moment
and going to start occasionally farming a new amulet
that pig amulet seems like it's generally quite solid
I'm assuming you're not really using the curse text
nah
it's there as a stat stick with all attributes and all res
I'm going to be stuck with if for a while because my next upgrade would be Nihilis or Omnis
Both of which are not exactly easy to get good rolls on
lmao there are two endgame necklaces named everything and nothing?
Nihilis has huge roll ranges with most of them being in the negatives but is overall the better one if you get a good roll
Omnis is much more reliable, but can certainly cause issues if the one resist you need is the dump stat
also, if you want something other than resists you're SoL
holy hotdog
I was actually farming Nihilis earlier lol
double ventors gamble
All positive (except the movement speed
) and a +2 but the numbers are all kind of low plus no LP
Better rolls overall and 1 LP but that +1 to skills sucks
stinky nemesis only put lightning resist on my cool seed
ooof
well
at least it's a resist
and not like crit chance on a DoT build or something
it does mean when i find a ring with void resist and some good other stuff i can swap my current ring out
since i dont need the 40% ele res

its funny you say this cus im a crit build that wouldnt mind dot since frostbite is weirdly free when youre doing stuff with druid
What's the best way to increase item rarity on boss drops. I'm trying to farm these: https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/items/UAzBMoRgZiA
do i just keep scaling corruption and try to find some item rarity areas to stack those for the boss fight?
Corruption yeah
Also
Don't forget there's a Woven Echo that lets you fight a Harbinger and get boss drops.
You can stick that in your woven tree and get a bunch of free attempts
It's how I farmed Throne of Ambition.
oh that's sweet
So, wisps from the hunt league can infest rogue exiles
and jesus, they get spooky
the ice arrow lady is a nightmare as a melee build
she regains like 100% of her life when she uses that jump skill
most fights are solved by tricking the AI into standing in Hammer of the Gods though (as god intended).
The few rogues I've come across have been actually kinda fun to fight? Certainly more interesting than they were in PoE1
I have fun leading mobs into the hammer drop
definitely more interesting than poe1 exiles
Tbf it's pretty hard to not be more interesting than a PoE1 mob
lmao yeah
it's odd playing LE cus the crafting system and the build options are so much more interesting but the moment to moment gameplay in poe2 has so much more going on
CoF always
MG inflation is too fast for the amount I want to play
Weaver tree imprint any pair of unique gloves, weaver tree "echoes can spawn packs that belong to a specific timeline and can drop that bosses' loot"
I'd also take the weaver tree nodes for bossess dropping additional uniques
Got my sentinal to lvl 100, pushing into the 800s on corruption without too much issue.
LP2 Orian's waiting on a good enough exalt (using a LP1), LP3 engraver waiting for good enough exalt (again using LP2 atm), two LP2 uni rings waiting for exalts
Gotta decide if I actually farm for those exalts then kill uber abberoth or if I call it done for the character and swap to the new torchlight league for a little
I guess I could also try get a LP3 masaya, LP2 null portent, LP2 twisted heart.... but that honestly feels more like busywork
Currently I'm target farming a second 1LP Red Ring
after that I'm going to go after a new chest piece
And maybe a new quiver
Also farming out a Nihilis on the side when I get bored of monos and want to bully Abby for a bit
how is torchlight? (sorry for derail)
Its full of gacha nonsense
But, its really fun if you do a little research beforehand, pick one character you want to play, and just ignore the gacha stuff
The character designs are wild
tempting, very tempting
Its also very fast, and full of weird incomprehensible systems
Good crafting though
I would ntoe as a warning that bad builds feel very bad in it
Luckily it has an ingame system where you can look at the builds of top players
is this different from the torchlight trilogy?
Like, you can filter by hero and equipped skills to see a list of builds & dps rankings
naw, same torchlight IP
more arpgs should have this
it's torchlight infinite, i'm assuming
its like....diablo 4 lost ark....
yup
No, and its unlikely to until the devs give notice that systems are stable and expose data
Theres a looooot of work to be done before then, I assume
I hope the work includes simply implementing those features and the trade website into the game
They've done some automated trade into the game
Currency stuff
They've also said that they don't want to automate too much more of trade, because its supposed to be a process that makes you interact with other players (and see their cool mtx)
I know I'm so blessed
And honestly, I don't hate there being systems in multiplayer games that say "hey you, go interact"
I like seeing people's cool hideouts, I like chattig with ranodm new people
I don't like the incredible horniness of the anime art people make using white&black stones in the ground of their hideouts, but I can deifnitely appreciate theres some severe skill
I dont think implementing the trade search into the game necessarily gets rid of that. though it would make sense to go all the way and include an auction house
Heres the problem: you automate the trading house and people will use it to automatically buy and sell
Those people will be richer than you
They will be online 24/7 snapping up all cheap items in given classes, based likely on automated analyses of top streamers, or any other relevant data source
I don't like messaging five guys to trade and fucking none of them reply to me
thats fair, friction is annoying
In the case of poe, I use the tft trade extension to see blacklisted traders
Which means its extremely rare for me to not get responses, because all the bots listing stuff to effect price manipulations are ignored
(I am well aware of the other issues regarding said site and systems, don't worry)
I'd prefer some method of throughput limited automated trade
Like 10 buys per day or something
I used to use the trade systems in guild wars two
I had a list of ingredients I would buy each day at close US time, and relist at open EU time (and vise versa)
The effect of that was basically I funded everything my main character did purely on arbitrage
This is honestly the solution
In LE you can consume forging potential to get up to t5 on affixes
t6&t7 are drop only
Honestly you should, in my opinion its better than poe2 atm
It also has a built in system to even up "I dont want to trade for items"
Yeah
trading is still probably better but you dont feel like youre missing out by not interacting with it.
Ko has been psuedoevangelizing it at our regular game
I'm not actually sure trading is better
Its easier in that it rewards undirected farm
But lets be honest, how long does it take to farm 40million gold to buy a solid lp2
(its about 10 hours of farm, going off sanctum)
Or, you could repeatedly run weaver;s tombs to find a GG idol with 2 good affixes to sell for 1/4 of the price
At which point, instead of item farming for gold to buy items, just bias your item farm to the item you want, and you're good
last epoch good game go buy (genuine)
once you understand how CoF works you can produce truly obscene amounts of gear
it's SSF but somehow still feels even with trade
Hmm, LE is telling me I have a passive or spec, but I dooonn't seem to?
I think it does that when you have learned a new skill
respeccing is luckily super affordable especially later on so go nuts and try stuff that works with the items you found
found a cool unique with + to a skill you've not tried yet? Just try the skill out
Also I'ma need to figure out what some of this language means
IDK what attunement does, or wahat 'channeled cost' is
hold alt while mousing over something with that info
Mm, still getting used to the UI, don't know how to pin an object to mouse over stuff on it's window
attunement is a stat, gives mana and specific skills scale with it
for extra info tabs on items it should be ctrl, alt+ctrl, or alt by default
specific skills are tagged as "channeled", so its channel cost is how much mana it drains per sec
every skill scaled off of at least one stat
it's usually 4% damage per level amongst other things depending on the skill
holding alt while mousing over a skill will show what the scaling does
I hope they touch of the hammer harbinger fights, the sword lady is 1000% more scary
the hammer guy you just stand behind him and win
I'm now up to like 150k frostbite dps with 90% cold pen and 180k thorn dps with 40% pen. then there's totems amd vines added in. I can stack the frostbite closer to 400k against bosses and the like and it still feels low in 200 corruption
I'm guessing you should be in the millions by this point?
I have a question about the crimson gluttony passive, and how the math maths out
with blood pact
Is it a matter of X%-Y%, or is it a matter of (X% / 1.Y)?
if you have 5 ranks in both you lose 5%*0.75=3.75% of your life per second
That I'm not sure on. But I think crimson gluttony mainly applies to loss over time and not costs
okay
B-lined this and i quite like it so far:
For what its worth, its pretty normal to change skills around a bunch while levlling
yea not at all
The scaling factor is forging potential
I'll need to have a look at the crafting, I'm mostly just making things explode with life drain RN
You basically can't go wrong by adding the simple stuff while levelling
Like, if any given staff/wand/sceptre/ring has an open prefix, just put + necrotic damage on it
Open suffix? +health, or +resists
All skills, if you hover over them, tell you every type of scaling they have fwiw
Drain life for example has the nectrotic, spell, damage over time, area, channeled, and intelligence tags, so you know for sure any points in any of those, or any effect that mentions those keywords will improve it
Yeah, partially I'm just thinking about what bases i should be using
What my options are etc
1h+cata vs two hand, dodge vs armor, etc
Wand + cata normally
And always armour over dodge unless you're doing something specific
As armour applies to non physical damage too (at reduced effectiveness)
As an acolyte your primary defensive layer is probably ward anyway
so far my defensive layer has been leech and DPS, but that will hardly be reliable going forward
What level are you?
ahaha
yea, reaper form is nuts once you get it going
lmk if you want any build advice of if you'd rather play through more blind
I levelled an acolyte last league
I've done some light research but am mostly doing my own thing
Also ow, runes of removal take off a big chunk of craft potential
you can use a rune of removal and a glyph of hope at the same time
At lower levels I'd just shatter items if you want shards
I wanted to clear the fixes so I could put new ones on
fair
Particularly as they had an implicit that reduced life cost for spells
which I'm kinda focusing in on
yea makes sense
I'd have a look through the lacolyte spells, some of them let you proc other spells for "free"
I think I levelled using chaos bolts to cast rip blood
Atm I'm running drain life, the necrotic dot curse, wandering spirits and bone golem
Bonw golem is mostly there to fill a slot, and I forget to press spirits a lot
How is lost epoch? Seems interesting from what Iβm hearing here
it's an excellent feel-good ARPG, in what I would say is a similar vein to Grim Dawn in terms of overarching design philosophy
buildcraft is fun, approachable, and reachable, though an extensive endgame to bust things up with your build is what is currently a bit lacking
it's no infinite grind max hours PoE1 but that tends to attract a different kind of ARPG player anyways
essentially if the fun you find in ARPGs is more about putting together something cool and watching it shred things, but you don't have a PhD in PoE Math and playtime habits that resemble a 1900s factory worker's hours, LE is in your wheelhouse
β¦have I mentioned those are my preferences here because that feels targeted towards my tastes
If so kudos for remembering because my memory is terrible
Void Knight is just a great class tbh
A surprising amount of sentinel can be converted to void so options aren't slim
I do also like LE's druid, though things can get a little cookie cutter if you follow the synergy suggestions of the game a little too much
The grim dawn berserker also seems super cool
I'm enjoying LE, though I'm basically ignoring most of the story/characters
Which is pretty easy tbh
feels kinda light
The story as of now is unfinished and tbh it ends in a pretty shit place
I want it to come out yesterday so I can summon cryogenic comets onto the local cult population as a bird person
in LE, does the blast knife unique actually work well or is it just unusable? it wants to use detonating arrow as a melee attack but since it's marksman's mastery skill, it doesn't benefit from blademaster very much. i assume you just take marksman for the skill and then go down the blademaster tree?
In the desert, straight up "ma'jelkin it" and by it, I mean? haha
my blats kneif
(I don't know but it seems to ask too much for very little payoff)
lmfao
IIRC they nerfed it at some point
kind of fucking it over

maybe I'm misremembering
Its okay, you just need a very specific build
It used to be insanely powerful, but got nerfed (losing the double dip) as it was heavily outcompeting
gotcha
my shaman got sandbagged around 200 corruption so I made a judgement aura paladin and holy shit this is so broken
feels like the numbers are way too high
sentinel in general is busted
usually this is how it goes for LE though, the newer masteries/reworks tend to outperform the rest of the bunch
then they're then nerfed into reasonableness in the next patch
(Warlock and Falconer are both the standouts from last patch that got nerfed and they're both strong)
i need to try those again, i'm playing a sentinel and every build wants the new symbols of hope skill lol
symbols of hope are cracked
Power creep my beloved
Admittedly Sentinel is immensely fun
finally. my beloved forge guard feels good (read: good with 2 pally skills)
it's amazing how much stuff pally gets for free
btw, can I just note I love how much shit you get on item implicits?
It not only makes initial gearing easier (here, have a free 40% cold resistence basically solving it on some boots) but it makes pursuing BiS that much more impactful because of just how important getting the right rolls on the right base matters
its so good
this ugly ass shield is RUINING my knight drip
finally get a T7 block chance shield with T5 all res and reduced damage on block and its this dinky motherfucker
transmog can't come soon enough
never didn't have it (until before now)
nearly a perfect roll too
time to go bully julra
oh shit it needs to be t4
okay that wasnt so bad
this actually goes so hard wow
thats more like it
its kind of weird that you get a movement skill & swiftness with this item but im not complaining
pog dropped my first omnis
good rolls too
harbinger did nothing with it but it's in my web
Big loot changes in PoE2
Patchj notes for patch
oh nice i was waiting for this
very good timing cus I just killed the 10th harby in LE and was wanting to go back to my hammer guy in poe2
I still have to kill abby
gonna do that tomorrow and then pick up poe2 again on the weekend
exciting stuff anyway
I'm glad I'm going to have like 35 atlas points instead of 7
Petulant goobers on the forums. These look like great changes.
I was noticing how mediocre stuff felt at the end of cruel diff, hopefully this makes things more pleasant. I raised an eyebrow when a sekhma bronze chest dropped only white gear.
Yeah, this is at least a solid starting point.
never read poe forums lmao
curse of all arpg forums tbh
ayy got there on my 2nd try. its a pretty cool boss fight but it is a bit of a clusterfuck at the end
i did not understand how the void slam works so i died to the wall the first time
finished my paladin drip (but its a million times worse than wearing decayed skull and omnis/wall of nothing)
Oh hello judgement pally
nice, congrats
End of A3 cruel and the loot feels way better already
I'm actually finding Exalts again
you were raving about it so I figured I'd give it a try and yeah it's nuts. you're so free to manage dodging as long as you stay next to stuff. the healing and resilience with all the layers of damage avoidance is amazing
it was a bit shit before I got some extra aoe. I couldn't hit julra if she stood on her void beams lmao
I only died twice on that character. once to aberroth cus I'd never seen the mechanics and didn't understand how void wall works and once to a possessed champion at 300corr while picking up the last harbingers
can you guess which champion
As the meme goes, I'd guess ghost
I think I'm at 4 deaths; uber abberoth, abberoth the first time I fought him because I hadn't seen the bonk before, when literally afk, and to the 10 harbinger weaver node
The 10 harbinger node was rough, got to #10 before the dice rolled a 1 and my 99% block got pierced
Eventually just got a shite lp1 midnight with 3% block chance, instead of healing eff, to cap
the bonk telegraph is very confusing haha but at least it exists
I just didn't know it hit like a truck
So went "yea, I can face tank that"
And I did, but like an idiot moved off my healing field to follow the boss' jump back, and died to the damage field
im in late maps and its nuts. i have to make my filter stricter cus im portalling back twice a map lmao
5 exalts dropped from a researcher's SB on a tier 1 map and I was shookith
I should clearly give me amazon a bit more of a go
Lets me slam the fuck outta bad kit to make it better as a SSF
I haven't upgraded my xbow since the beginning of act 3 Cruel and tier 2 maps is making it feel real lackin
yeah its nice that they arent worth as much so they are usable
They were 300:1 earlier
The new patch helped
Fair to say that V Rising counts in the #1159883729070727189 channel, yes?
yea, looks like it would
ineligible as it only has one globe at the bottom of the screen /s
lmao just died to the trial of chaos bird boss because its stun animation knocked it out of ranged of seismic cry so i only got 1 hammer drop instead of 2 and i didnt instakill it before it started doing moves
some of the monster stun animations are really annoying for melee characters
can you no longer corrupt t15s to make em t16s? I've corrupted dozens and haven't gotten a single t16 this league
holy fuck I hate enemies of the hydra
insane health regen
just do more damage 4head
it GOT WISPED
I guess I'm especially privileged not to deal with this bullshit since hammer of the gods deals inf damage
frost bomb?
I eventually burned it down after I went home for flask charges
Armored eshielded wisped antlion charger is a fuck
I just realized that you can overcap maxres to make the -maxres map mods do nothing
cus I'm only dropping to like 82% on -maxres maps
Accidentally picked iris 2 instead of 1 on torchlight infinite for the season, and didn't notice until lvl 50 traits
Dropping it I guess, can't be fucked going through campaign again, and the changes to pacts make it pretty uninspiring to play
Still such a wild game to me; you get character designs like this:
And then their 3d models are shit like this:
Damn wtf
The top one is some serious hades vibes, to the point i susepct it's very much inspired by hade's art
(whci his no bad thing)
The bottom is, well
I actually like the design thematic more than Hades art
But stylistically it's like Hades yeh
I feel they need to add cell lines and deeper shadows on the bottom
"I'm just not one for resource hunting and base building"
(Cut to me breaking ground on my newest castle in V Rising. Giddy that I can make balconies.)
tbf if you're running a private game you just jack up resource harvest multipliers and crafting time reduction and it's a decent casual playthrough that way.
the game mostly gets annoying casually if you're actually playing on a multiplayer server where you're genuinely expected to wait hours to get high end refinement done
They need some hella shader work, basically
The models are godawful, I'm not going to subject you to cutscene face
But a good shader would make 905 of that invisible
Your follower, in cutscene, cinematic, early campaign text, and the two least interesting versions of her character art
Just a good line shader would do infinite work imo
lmao
this is so discordant
this reminds me of how they have these painted cutscenes in last epoch and then you go to the last couple acts and it's in-engine cut scenes
very jarring
I desperately hope when they add in the next act they add in the painted cutscenes
LE looks great from above
not so much with those closeups
Listen, the cutscene for Rahyeh and Heorot is a cherished work of art.
It has "unity particle demo" energy
it does have that
the way the flame particles for the first attack just appear out of thin air. how the ice barrier is just a vaguely shaded volume that shatters with prebaked physics. how the entire cutscene takes place on the flattest, most undecorated piece of ground you've ever seen
it's high art
The last epoch story is super endearing
Even though its way too vague and meandering
One thing I will absolutely grant diablo 2: you felt the end of each act
Whereas LE I legit forget what chapter I'm n half the time, because if its not 9, then I don't need resistances yet and eh whatever lets continue
ehh, you don't need resistences except for physical which I typically cap by the end of like act 2 lol
You absolutely need them to not die to Lagon
Nothing else really matters
Unless that fight got nerfed?
tbh I just skip it now
straight to monos until I get a Sanctum key then act 9 just long enough to get CoF
bahaha
I tend to campaign until I have all talent nodes, then monos from ~50
I'm a good boy and I play the whole campaign the first time through πΆ
2nd time thru I skip as much as possible and get my last idol slots from erectile dysfunction grandpa
it's interesting how many different ways you can route a twinked character since there are more passive point opportunities than possible passive points
what have you learned?
So I've made it to tier 6 maps with my HVR poison witch hunter
and while i'm made of glass because i refuse to give up my succulent 80% better item rarity, it's a ton of fun
Elite and boss slaying is pretty heavily dependant on if I can land a really good poison proc with the heft support but the mob clear is insane
my biggest challenge right now is finding a better xbow. I really, really want to find a +4 or +5 to projectile skills with damage comparable to this:
Cleaning out old stash tabs in a new season is the real spring cleaning in ARPGs
that's kind of a top tier crossbow you're describing
+5 gem levels is insane dps increase
also insane mana cost increase
I guess I'm being greedy because I found a +5 cold spells staff at like, level 50 on my cold sorc
Skewed perspectives from being a lucky bastard with toon 1
yeah staves go up to +7 x spell skill levels, projectile/melee only goes up to +5 iirc
so you're looking for the maxroll on a rare mod
I have seen a couple 4's in maps
But getting them with phy mods worth anything is the challenge
"eh fuck it I never play standard anyway"
Followed immediately by "but I do have legacy facebreakers"

In just two weeks weβll be revealing everything you need to know about our next expansion for Path of Exile! GGG Live will begin at 1PM on June 5 (PDT) at twitch.tv/pathofexile!
You'll be able to play our 3.26 expansion for free on PC and Consoles on June 13th (PDT).
its very unfortunate
if we had this expansion come out like 5 months ago there would be a lot of people trying poe1 for the first time after getting the first tastes of poe2
sadly i dont think id be able to play since click to move mega screwed my hand up
i cant go back to it
and i think the chance is small for them adding wasd
but
cool!
we finally get to continue the main endgame story
maybe we will see maven's dad
also it seems like zana is coming back
oh god finally no more settlers
you could bind move on keyboard
huh
yeah you can set keybinds for all of your ability bar including the slots normally where mouse buttons go
i rebound middle mouse's square to spacebar
p l e a s e
Dad came back with the 4.0 engine improvements and milk???
New dev blog on the Grim Dawn expansion, new armor sets come with target farm options and beards:
https://forums.crateentertainment.com/t/grim-misadventure-192-settled/145760
But what about second Grim Misadventures? Last time, we revealed a new style of weaponry. These absolutely energized melee weapons will bring an entirely new aesthetic to your collection. Today, we are sharing two of the fifteen sets coming initially in Fangs of Asterkarn. As you can imagine, sets are some of the most intensive work for the art ...
right click to unveil pog
oh
you no longer need to unveil to unlock crafts
theyve just been moved to maps
how's poe2 going?
In a much better state than when Path of the hutnress launcehd
though i havent felt like dipping my toes back in yet
Oh my god hell yeah
right click to unveil is a really nice piece of qol
i think unveil for crafts is probably bad for me
unless i can also get the crafts from unveil
I'm not to end game but loot feels pretty decent right now and they dropped monster health pretty significantly to make early and mid game less painful
And they made some of the worst offender maps less tedious
...huh?
yessss
Dagger buff teaser
every league while playing i write down my big pain points and then when i stop playing the league i email it to them and this was one thing i did not like
i think that was in my 3.24 pain points email
specifically i wanted to click a button to corrupt my essences
they probably still make many improvements if a random player doesn't email them about this, but it's good to see stuff I specifically complained about to them getting improved :)
Breach is finally fixed
All shards drop at the end in one place
We have the technology
YOOO
Search is now 250 characters
This opens up more complex regexs
We've been limited to 50 till now
splinters thing so good
i might play an armorstacker in ssf now
i wasnt gonna pick up all those splinters to farm my formless flames
NPCS REMEMBER SEARCH STRINGS
I am so doing an expedition character
In this video, I explain how the level 20 Uber Uber Elder kill was possible. This time i focus more on the character then the story, since it was alredy covered in the last video . Thx again to my edditor keru he carrys me. If you have any questions leave them in the comment section below.
You can watch me live at
https://www.twitch.tv/bazukata...
This isn't secure comms
And you could've just asked normally :p
It's all fun and games until you try sanitising a search link
i am too lazy to edit this to remove the word secure
Holy shit we have the technology
That's gonna save so many macros people thousands of clicks π
hopefully we also get an alch scour
give me a giant alch scour queue with regex for the modifiers
i'll pop a bunch of maps in the magazine and then click until it's bright
please just let us script map rolling
WOAH mercenaries are kinda like an animate guardian that you can revive
I was just thinking it's a Build-a-Bob
whats really fucked up is you can stack this with AG
kingsmarch staying is not happy for me :(
but yeah it's so involved
very funny that he says "if you're a new player please just pretend betrayal doesn't exist"
fragment tab buffed
chaos dots buff PLEASE PLEASE
you are like a minute ahead of me
Bit weird to be annoucing that Ben gets 3 more item designs in the live stream but w/e
holy that map device looks hot
anyone have patch notes link yet
